2 Chapter2: Meetings

Within the next couple of days, Hoseok and Yoongi would run into each other more and more. Yoongi had just recently graduated from college with a degree in music and had a part time job at a cafe nearby. Hoseok was a coffee fanatic, so to say that they saw each other daily was an understatement. With them seeing each other so often, it wasn't a question of "if they would get close", but a matter of "when". The more time they spent together, the more Yoongi came to realize how "odd" Hoseok was, but strangely Yoongi didn't mind. In fact, he rather enjoyed it. Slowly, Yoongi came to know more about the character that was Jung Hoseok.

Like the fact that he was really smart.

"I'm in University and studying politics. My family lives in another town and couldn't come to Seoul with me since they have little money." Hoseok would tell him. Although Yoongi believed that he was lying on the last bit. This was because as far as he knew, Hoseok didn't have a job. So how on earth was he paying for his apartment remained a mystery to him.

In the next few encounters, Yoongi and Hoseok grew even closer. Some might even call them "best friends" The more Jimin heard Yoongi talking about Hoseok, the more excited he became to meet him. However, whenever they tried to set up a day to meet, something always came up for Hoseok. It was always either

"Oh, my mom got sick and I have to go and see her." Or " I have too much homework today" until finally, he wasn't able to come up with any believable excuse and agreed to meet Jimin.

The day came quickly and Hoseok couldn't be anymore nervous. On the contrary, Jimin couldn't be anymore excited. On the day of the meeting, both he and Yoongi patiently waited for their doorbell to ring. When it did Yoongi swiftly opened the door and there stood Hoseok, looking calm as ever. However internally, Hoseok felt like he was about to puke.

After being invited in, Hoseok sat on the couch, right next to Jimin. They quickly exchanged greetings and talked for about and hour. Soon after, Hoseok's stomach began to grumble, signifying that it was lunchtime.

"Yoongi told me how much you enjoy fish, so I cooked a large Sea Bass for us!" Jimin exclaimed as Hoseok's mouth drooled.

"Yoongi, did you remember to buy the sodas?" Jimin asked.

"Ah shoot! Let me go to the convenience store and get some real quick! You two stay hear and set the table!" Yoongi yelled as he ran out the door. As soon as Yoongi left, there was an awkward tension between Jimin and Hoseok. None of them spoke for what felt like many minutes, until Jimin finally broke the silence.

"I know."
