14 Chapter 14

" Welcome everyone to Kukuroo mountain. " Said the travel guide as everyone got out of the bus.

" This is where Killua lives??!!! " Leorio yelled as he looked at the giant mountain in front of him.

" Yep. What's impressive is that the Zoldyck family is a bunch of assassins but their base of operations is in plain sight. " Satoru said ad he looked at the mountain.

" True. Would have thought they would have something more untraceable. " Kurapika thought.

" Damn it! " Leorio yelled.

" What's wrong Leorio? " Gon asked.

" I didn't get a picture of Killua. If I did, I could have had gotten a lot of money. " Leorio said with a sad face.

Gon and Kurapika deadpanned.

" Oi, old man. Let us in. " Everyone heard. They looked towards the fate keeper as he was harassed by 2 people.

" Satoru. Those 2 are cannon fodder, right? " Gon asked.

" Yep. They are cannon fodder. " Satoru said as he continued to watch.

" Alright. Here's the key. " The old man said as he finally gave in.

The 2 boys went through the gate with greedy smiles on their faces.

" Aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh... " Both of them screamed.

" WHAT NO!! PLEASE I'M SORR..... "

"Everyone get back on the bus!! " the guide yelled as everyone rushed to the bus and left.

Satoru, Kurpaika, Leorio, and Gon just watched them leave. They walked forward toward the old man.

" Oh, some people stayed. That's a surprise. " the old man said.

" Hello. Can we go see Killua? " Gon asked.

" Hmm, why do you want to meet him? "

" We are his friends. " Gon said.

The old man's eyes widened.

" I see. Come inside so we can talk. " He said.

" By the way, my name is Zebro. " He said.

" Nice to meet Zebro. " Gon said as did Kurapika and Leorio.

They headed inside the hut which Zebro has and he brewed some tea.

" Here you go. Now, what's this about you bring friends with Killua? " Zebro asked.

Gon then started to explain what happened at the hunter's exam. Zebro stayed silent as he listened. He had a happy face as Killua finally made some friends.

" That's good. Master Killua never had any friends growing up so this is making me happy. " He said.

" Can you let us go see him? " Gon asked.

" Unfortunately I can't. I can't just let you in as you have to go in by yourselves. The front gates always open anyway. " He said.

" How does it weigh? " Satoru asked as everyone else was confused.

" Wait what are you talking about? " Leorio asked.

" Satoru you already know? " Gon asked.

" Yep. The giant gate you see is actually the front door. " Satoru said.

" I see. Then why don't we just push it? " Gon asked.

" It must weigh a lot. Plus we don't know what those symbols mean. " Kurapika said.

" Oh those, they represent how much the number of gates. " Zebro stated as everyone looked at him.

" The first gate weighs 4 tons. " Zebro said.

" 4 tons!!! " Leorio yelled. Gon and Kurapika were shocked.

" There is 7 gate. When you open the gates at the same time, they weigh 2 times more than the last. If you manage to open the second gate, you opened a gate weighing 8 tons.

When Killua arrived he managed to open the 3 third gate. 16 tons in total. " Zebro said.

Leorio, Kurapika, and Gon looked at Zebro in shock.

" Is there any other way to get in? " Gon asked.

" You could ask the head butler however they work directly under the Zoldyck family. The only way to get in is through the testing gates."

" I see. " Gon said.

Satoru said nothing as he got up and walked so it the room, humming a tune.

" Satoru where are you going? " Gon asked.

" To open the gates. " Satoru said.

Everyone else followed him outside as Satoru stood in front of the gates.

Grinning he placed his arms on the gates. He stopped using cursed energy as he wants to test his physical strength.

" Here goes nothing. " Satoru said.

Zebro, Leorio, Gon, and Kurapika stood in shock.

In one go, Satoru opened all 7 gates!

" So do I pass? Satoru asked.

He let go of the gates as they came back to normal.

* Bang *

They slammed shut as Zebro, Kurapika, Gon and Leorio snapped out their trance.

" Yes, you passed. " Zebro stated.

" Zebro. How much does the entire etching weigh? " Leorio asked.

" The 7 gates weigh 256 tons. " Zebro said.

Satoru grinned as he looked at the shocked expressions on their faces.

" That's amazing! " Gon yelled.

" Wait shouldn't we go rescue Killua now? " Gon asked.

" Wait that's true. We can go in, right? " Leorio asked.

" Well sure. Just go in through the same gate as those cannon fodder. " Satoru said.

" What?! Why would I do that? " Leorio asked.

" Simple I'm not going to open the gates. You guys are. " Satoru said Ponting at them.

" The testing gate is to show who's worthy to enter the estate. I told you before, you guys are going to save him while sitting back and observe. "

" But 4 tons is a lot! I don't think we can open that door. " Leorio said.

" We have to try. " Gon said.

" You won't open the door. Which is why we are going to train. " Satoru said while grinning.

" Train to open this door? How? " Kurapika asked curiously.

" Weights. " Zebro said as they looked at him.

" Exactly. By wearing weights your strength will increase. You'll be able to open the door in no time. " Satoru said.

" Plus I'll be helping you. " Satoru said.

" Helping us how? " Leorio asked nervously.

" Basically if you can't complete the training you will get disgusting fold to eat for dinner." Satoru said.

" Oi form touch our food. " Leorio said.

" That's a worse punishment than not having food. " Gon said.

" That's too much. " Kurapika said.

" Don't care. Put on the weighted clothes Zebro just brought out. Training starts now. " Satoru said grinning.

At night in the Zoldyck manner, we see Silva Zoldyck sitting with his grandfather Zeno.

" So he's arrived. " Zeno said as he sipped his tea.

" Yes. Zebro reported in. He managed to open the 7th gate. " Silva said.

" Interesting. He is strong. What about his personality? " Zeno asked.

" He is easygoing. It also appears likes to play around. "

" Understandable. He is quite strong considering he has a nonchalant attitude the entire time. " Zeno said.

" Yes. Illumi said his personality will hinder Killua but so far I doubt it. " Silva said.

" True. We will just observe him for now. " Zeno said.
