As compared to Yifei who was completely frantic and was unable to calm down, Xu Beihan was much more calmer than her and was softly patting her head trying to calm her down.

In his heart, Xu Beihan was constantly scolding himself for informing Yifei and more importantly for letting this thing slip out of his mouth. not because he did not wanted to tell her, more importantly because he did not wanted Yifei to face this things unprepared. 

It took a good amount of time for Yifei to calm down and think with her most rational mind.

Only after she was calmed down, she grabbed a bottle of water and gulped it down instantly before turning to look at Xu Beihan with the same confused, scared face as she questioned him,

 "Are you really not joking?" 

No matter how serious Xu Beihan's face was, Yifei still thought that Xu Beihan, at one point would get up and start laughing out loud while clutching his stomach and inform her that whatever he said was a joke.
