Anne never stops crying that night, Even though I keep on comforting her she still can't stop her tears from falling.
"Lucca," She called as she handed me her glass I bet she's saying that she wants me to pour more on her glass.
So I did...
"I cannot believe Cupid would reject me twice." She said as she looks at her glass and sigh.
I received a message from her parents asking where the hell is she as I call them and explained what happen today. Since they understand the situation they didn't bother calling anymore since I had gained their trust for those years that I had been with them together.
"Say, Lucca," She called as she sighs like she's out of words now.
"Why did you like me in the first place?" she asked but right now I don't know how to answer her since she is not feeling that well today.
"I'm not popular or Pretty like Lucy," She started.
"I am not rich like Cupid,"
"And I am not as cool as you, Now tell me why did you like me in the first place?" she asked so sincerely that I want to stop this time and just hug her tightly. "I just did, You got my attention the first time we met," I said that even if she didn't remember a single thing about me it still pushes me to be with her.
"But I can't remember a thing about where did we start being friends since we were just kids back then but I can remember Cupid being in my side." I know Anne, I know.
"I'm trying my very best Anne just so you'll choose me, But your way too in love with Cupid," I added.
"But I'm happy that you stayed beside me Lucca," she said as she smiled without faking it.
"When you killed those Guys what's the first thing that came out on your mind?" I bet Terrence heard our conversation right now and he too wants to know what I was thinking that day.
"I was not planning to kill them I was just planning to save you but knowing how much you tried to have friends it left me no choice but to end their lives to save those children, not just you alone," I explained because the plan was successful that Cupid will save Anne while I distract the kidnaper but when I saw those children it made me realize that I should save them too.
"I see, If you have that kind of heart It's hard for me to believe that you're a Mafia yourself." I smiled,
"Maybe I am not that heartless in the first place," I said as I drink up. "I got my first pet bird and killed it with my own hands," I explained as I remember that day I bet Terrence saw me that day too.
"Why? Don't you like birds?" she asked, I shake my head in response and look at the night skies. "It's just I was jealous of it being able to fly freely without any chains." Because honestly that was what I thought and killed that bird immediately.
"I had another pet dog and just like my bird pet I also killed it," She never bother saying a word as she keeps on listening to me. "Because no matter how loyal it is it came up and bite the sh*t out of me, It betrayed me that's why."
"Then why didn't you attempt to kill me when I hurt you so much?" She asked that made sense, I could kill her right now but I can't bring myself to kill her.
"I can't kill someone who means the world to me, I mean I could kill for your sake but I cannot kill you." That is how much I love you Anne and I know you know that too.
"I'm happy just staying here beside you," I said as she smiled and nod, Her face is a bit red now and I bet she's drunk knowing that she has a low alcohol tolerance.
"I bet if I liked you first Lucca you'll treat me more like a Queen," She murmured as she closed her eyes.
"I'll treat you more than that Anne, And all the people around you will treat you more than that," I answered as I saw Terrence standing in front of me.
"What?" I asked.
"Would you prefer for me to leave you guys alone?" he asked because he felt that it's way too private for him to interfere anymore.
"Nah, Just stay here I'll be back after I put her to bed," I said as he nodded. When I came back I saw Terrence pouring his drink.
"I am really glad that things turn out just the way you planned Boss," he said as he handed me the glass. "Of course Anne is mine in the first place," I said as he nodded. "But I bet Cupid won't settle for less," he said as I am completely aware of that.
"I know but if that sort of thing happens I will kill him with my power," I explained. "But aren't you afraid if Anne would find out about this?"
"I am afraid but it is up to her on what decision she will make,"
"Will you still push yourself on her?" He asked.
"Have you ever fall in love Terrence?" I asked back.
"Yes,"
"I see, With who?"
"Luna Hail," he answered which made me stopped. "Luna?" I asked again as he nodded. " You like her?" I asked again as he nodded.
"Yes, We went out for a while too after that incident happens," I felt sad hearing that from him since Luna's body is not found and there is no sign of her being alive or what that's why the search stop and we just assume that she is dead already. It must be hard for Terrence.
"I asked for her hand but she rejected me immediately."
"Seriously? I thought you won't be getting married since that would make your work more difficult?"
"I did say that Boss but I know that with Luna around she might be a big use with you." My face went poker face hearing that from him, So he was just thinking about marrying Luna since she can be useful in the upcoming events?
"But..."
"Hmm?"
"Would you mind Boss if I take Lucy?" He asked so sincerely and I don't know how will I react since he looks like my son asking for a blessing.
"Do what you want Terrence, I never stopped you about things like that..."
"I am afraid that Lucy will become needy Boss-"
"You are deeply aware that you are not the only one who keeps on following me right? That I have another 20 guards?" I asked as he stops talking. "Why are you thinking? I can do things by myself Terrence you don't need to worry that much."
"Okay," He answered as I smiled.
"After Luna, you came up liking Lucy?" I asked. "I liked Luna since she bought a lot of information that can be useful for you Boss, But Lucy is different ever since we were a kid I set my eyes on her but she's quite childish for her age and she keeps on cheering up whenever you are not around in the mansion I found myself playing with her."
"I see, You like her that much huh?"
"Yes Boss," He stands up and bows down in front of me.
"I'm the deeply sorry boss but I might not grant my promise on not getting involve in stuff like this that might affect my work."
"You already had proven too much Terrence for me to trust you, That is enough and I want you to treat me like a friend rather than a boss, Start calling me Lucca from now on," I said as I saw his handshaking. "I cannot step on the same stone your stepping Boss, I prefer being your shadow for the rest of my life." I sigh because when he acts like this I know that he means it.
"Fine," I said as I look at how the sea breeze is calming me.
"When we were together with Lucy, Did you bother feeling that you have to stop our relationship?" I asked since now I know that he liked Lucy knowing that he always saw the both of us kissing.
"No, Since she looks really happy with you..." I never thought that Terrence is just like me because he is way too quiet about his personal life and didn't want to bother saying anything at all.
"But I envy you just like you envy Cupid, Lucy look at you like you are her world."
"Do you want to kill me that time?" I asked as he nodded.
"I wanted to, But I know that she will run into my arms at the end of the day." How calm is he that I can envy him this time?
