1 When the Rain Pours

Ivory's heart beats fast as the dream takes hold of her, all she can feel is this man touching her in places that were long forgotten. Sheets wet with sweat cling to her body as she tosses and turns trying to find this man who only comes to her at night to fill them with passion and lust. His lips move to hers as Ivory battles for air, but loses when his hand find her core. With his lips sealing the air, an arm around her throat and the other on her bud Ivory is lost in the dream no longer fighting but wanting to find more.

She felt his teeth bite into her lip as a sigh slipped passed, her body arched as he drove her higher into bliss. Moving his hand from her throat to her chest to play with her nipples and his lips followed. Tasting, biting, and kissing each peak till they throb with each beat of her heart just as her bud is. Driving her to the brink only then did he stop, looking into her eyes he opened his mouth…..

"Ivory! Wake up it's almost time for the meeting and you need to be there!" Shawn yelled through the door as he walked passed.

"Joder (Fuck), not again." Ivory silently cussed herself, looking to her nightstand as her clock read that it was almost 6:00am.

"I'm coming dad, I'll be down soon." As she rolled out of bed.

Ivory walked to the bathroom to get ready for what she knew was going to be the best day of her life, well other than the days of her engagement and marriage plus the day her daughter was born. As she got into the shower she thought back to the dream she had, this was the fifth time this week and she never got to see face or hear his voice but his scent was engraved into her mind. She just couldn't seem to forget it, human but with a spring rain and walking in the woods during the fall all in one.

As Ivory walked with her father to the meeting, the dream kept coming back to her. She couldn't fathom why she was having it, she already found her true mate. At least she thinks she did, Ivory ponders this as her father opens the doors to the meeting room.

Walking in with her head held high, Ivory needed the meeting to go well. Looking at her Mentor, Ivory could told that the old woman didn't have good news. As the door closed the rest of the council filled into the room to take their seats. The Maiden Sue Thorn, who was her great-aunt; The Mother Celena Morgan; The Crone Leora Gypsy; The Queen Julie Wolf, Ivory's Grandmother and Mentor; The Lover Ezio Thorn, Ivory's Grandfather; The Provider Helius Wild; The Sage Scott Wolf, her great-uncle; The Warrior Donatus Fairnight.

As they sat down, Ivory could feel the tension and how pissed some of them were. But then the glow of there eyes could tell it all, holding back the animal in them wasn't good. She could feel her beast rising up to protect her, only by calming herself did she stop the growl coming up her throat.

"Should we wait for Daniel to arrive?'' Celena said in a tone that made it seem as though Ivory wasn't there.

"There is no need, this meeting is to discuss Ivory being Alpha. What happens after is when we'll talk to him." replied Ezio; but by the look on his face you could tell he and Celena weren't on the same page.

Ivory could tell who's side some of them where on but not all and by the looks of it she was 3-3 to still become Alpha. So as Ivory looked the other 2 in the eye trying to read them but was coming up short.

Ivory knew she needed to say something and her time was running out, clearing her throat she took a step forward, "Before we began there is some things I would like to say." She then looked of them in the eyes, her Grandmother last. With a smile from her was Ivory able to start in a calm voice.

"I know those of you who don't want me to become Alpha and I know you have your reason but i would like to give you mine as to why I know I should be Alpha. I would do anything I can to keep everyone safe, I know there are some who think the power I have would be a danger but just like shifting I would need to learn to control it. With having Julie and Sue teaching me as they did my mother; i know i can and will control it, only using it to help our people. I won't and wouldn't put anyone here in danger, I…"

Celena stands up pointing her finger at her, "That's a lie! The last time you got pissed off you killed my nephew!"

Ivory was just getting to that point and now Celena just had to be a Perra (Bitch) and do this. "That's not how it happened and you know it Celena," Sue growled out at her "You just can't take the pain of knowing he was giving the Hunters information on us!"

Ivory was in shock, she didn't know that part in what happen. She just thought she save two little girls who where at the hands of a man who killed over 40 shifter woman, teens and girls. Ivory looked to her father as the air got warm and a very chilling growler was coming out passed his lips. She could tell when the rest of them heard the sound but she knew then that Celena brought one thing she shouldn't of because one of the woman who her nephew either killed or gave to the hunters was her mother Katie. Shawn was trying to hold the shift back but anyone could tell it was an inner war he was losing. Ivory brought her power to the front of her mind hoping to prevent any bloodshed. She step in front of her father, "Dad? Dad can you look at me?"
