chapter 8-phase two

Hisoka licked his lips as he slowly approached Adam's unconscious body, all while exuding more and more killing intent.

"He excites me so much, but I have to wait. I can't let him die too early before he reaches his full potential, muhuhuhu it's so delightful."

Hisoka then picks up Adam and puts him on his shoulder and begins to walk to the bushes where he retrieves Leorio, who he throws over his other shoulder like a sack of potatoes.

As he runs forwards along the path he kills anyone that he passes, while slowly starting to bring his killing intent back inwards.

Hisoka made it to the crowd of applicants and the examiner, who was standing at the front of a large gate.

He drops off Leorio at a tree then spots Illumi and walks towards him while keeping Adam on his shoulder.

"Hi Illumi. Guess what I found mhuhuhuh"

"It is another talented youth knowing you and your weird fetishes"

"Yes'' Hisoka then puts Adam on the floor in front of Illumi. "Look at him and his potential, isn't it so wonderful? He's been poisoned though and I don't know when he'll wake up. Can you do me a favour?" Hisoka then smiles while looking at Illumi.

"Sure, but it'll cost you" Illumi then throws several needles into Adam's body, Adam then begins to twitch as his muscles and blood flow are stimulated.

Illumi then inserted a needle into Adam's finger and some white, highly viscous liquid began to drip out of his finger.

Then a rumbling sound was heard, and the gates to allow the participants to phase 2 opened.

"I guess I'm going to have to babysit him until he wakes up. I'll have to resist the temptation for now until he becomes stronger" Hisoka said while laughing and once more his murderous aura began to leak out scaring all those surrounding him and giving everyone an uncomfortable feeling down their spine, except Illumi who just stood there staring at Hisoka.

Hisoka's attention then went to the gourmay hunters, who were revealed as the phase two examiners of the hunter exam.

One was a very large,fat man with brown, short hair who was at least 3 metres high even though he was sitting down. He wore a plain, yellow t-shirt that didn't fully cover his stomach and plain green pants that were large enough to fit his amazing size.

While another was a woman sitting on a red chair with her legs crossed, wearing a see through crop top with a red undergarment showing off her curvy breasts and short shorts with high socks. She had light green hair, which was stuck up like poles all around her head.

Hisoka listened to the contents of the next exam.

As they finished their explanation for the task and everyone began to leave to collect boar meat, Hisoka threw Adam to the feet of the hunters.

"Keep him safe for me" Hisoka then walked off following the direction in which many of the examinees left.

"What a weird guy" said the female examiner looking at Hisokas back.

Her attention then went to Adam on the floor, who was unconscious.

"Should we help him?" asked the fat examiner.

The female examiner then sticks out her hand and a piece of sushi appears in her hand.

She then opens Adam's mouth and throws it down his throat nearly causing Adam to choke while he was unconscious.

Adam then began to feel warm all over as a delicious flavour ran through his body.

He feels as if he is floating through food heaven, and his clothes burst off of him as he sinks more into this feeling.

He then stops tasting this delicious food and awakens with some regrets, as he wanted to stay longer in that delicious feeling.

Adam then remembers seeing Hisoka's smile before passing out and activates his ten around his body and begins to look around.

As he looks around and notices no Hisoka he begins to relax.

He then looks at the two people in front of him and begins to recall his memories of these two hunters from the anime.

"Hello I'm Adam, is it okay if I ask what happened to me and how did I get here, and what was that delicious feeling I had?"

The female examiner looked at him with a glint in her eyes and said "I am Menchi, a gourmet hunter. I used my nen ability to heal you, and that creepy clown left you here. I see you know nen at your age, that is quite impressive"

"I see, thank you for helping me. May I have your number so that i can repay you for healing me"

Adam said trying to drive the topic away from him having nen or having to explain how he got it, as he didn't want to make up a fake backstory that she might see through.

"Quite ambitious of you to ask for my number after seeing me only once, but you are too young for me by a couple of years. Maybe after you master the nen basics would I consider it" said Menchi as she looks at Adam assuming his age to be around sixteen or seventeen and knowing that it would take a long time to master the nen basics.

Even though he was still quite handsome, and would easily attract attention despite his younger age, Menchi was a professional hunter and could stay away from temptation for a reason. As well as being used to seeing many people who have a handsome appearance, since this is the hunter x hunter world, which unlike earth had many top class appearances and people who retained their youthful looks thanks to nen.

"I see, I am quite disappointed" said Adam truthfully since he wanted to taste her nen food again as it was heavenly.

After their brief exchange, they could hear people running in stampedes to their location with boars above their heads.

Adam then went towards them, most people ignored him and ran past him but he could feel a set of eyes on him from the back.

Looking into that direction Adam could see Hisoka. Adam began to slowly approach towards Hisoka.

Only when they were face to face with each other and staring into each others eyes did Adam finally speak.

"Thank you for saving me and bringing me here"

After saying that and using up all his courage, Adam began to speedily walk away while Hisoka smiled and began to laugh.

"What a strange person, it just makes me more excited for what's to come" said an excited Hisoka.

"You're a strange person yourself" said Illumi, suddenly appearing next to Hisoka with a boar by his side.

Adam walked towards a person carrying a boar above his head, who ran weakly towards where the examiners were waiting.

He had experienced a long and hard battle with the boar and had finally been able to knock it out with some luck.

As he was running back he spotted a man slowly walking in his direction.

Thinking nothing of it and daydreaming of becoming a hunter with gold coins surrounding him and beauties sitting on his lap.

Then he fell unconscious as Adam stood above him. Adam looked down to the unconscious body with a lump on its head that he had made.

He then grabbed the boar the man was carrying and began to walk back to where the examiners were now that he had acquired his own boar. Even though it was by unjust ways he didn't mind doing this, as he always knew to look out for himself before others and the time alone on the island strengthened that belief as he knew it was key to surviving in this world where the strong rule.
