25 Entering the Second Dungeon

The questions Hiruma had for Tsubone were brief and few.

She asked him more questions in a short period than he probably would have in a lifetime for her as they entered his small world and then his second roused dungeon.

He had just walked into the dungeon with the old woman. After several minutes of exploration and explanations in the previous infinite space, Tsubone was still perplexed when she uttered, again curious and dumbfounded,

"I'm still in disbelief,"

"Even for the strongest Specialist in the world, if there is one, I could never have imagined such a thing being possible, young Master..."

"Your talent is genuinely spectacular. Truly remarkable... But where are we right now?

Tsubone had already identified Hiruma's ability to enter the small world as his ability to step into the worlds from which Conjurers summoned their abilities and things.

Most, if not all, Conjurers had no clue where the things they summoned came from. Kite was a prime example of this. But even the Conjurers who stored things like Tsubone and those who chose the types of skills or items they wanted to form, like Kurapika, didn't know.

They just took things from their respective worlds. They couldn't enter their own worlds and had no idea how they looked on the inside. Likewise, they had no idea if there was even life apart from their summons, which was occasionally alive.

Knov was an outlier who didn't need to be mentioned in this logic because no one knew if he was using more Conjuration of Emission for his abilities. Knov, on the other hand, was a natural at this particular Nen type: Emission.

(Author: Oda's latest update. Knov is a born Emitter. Don't look at me; the wikis are no longer completely trustworthy.)

Hiruma had now unintentionally refreshed Tsubone's previous knowledge of Conjuration.

He didn't mind. Everything had been a big misunderstanding, working in his favor today and tonight. The old lady mistook his ability for Nen when it wasn't. The system also relied on this fact when disguising Hiruma's window as a Nen requirement she had to accept.

"Do you mean this here? This is known as a dungeon."

Inside the newly awakened Dragon Quest 9 instance, the boy replied.

A large plain of small grass lay beneath his and his butler's feet, and in front of them was a tall abbey surrounded by a small pond that circled it.

The Alltrades Abbey was the name given to the Abbey. It was located in the center of Newid Isle. The Alltrades Abbey was a large temple where people could obtain and change vocations (basically classes).

Even if it were some NPC instance now, no one could... It would only be possible after the dungeon was cleared out, which was Hiruma's intention.

Hiruma wished to assist Tsubone in obtaining a class.

He recognized the importance of people being able to heal themselves because he possessed the Heal skill. If he was going to make Tsubone his dungeon exploration companion, he wanted her to be able to maximize her already powerful experience and abilities.

He would have been a priest if he could, but he wasn't like the people he let into his instances. He was able to use multiple classes at the same time without having to switch between them. He could, however, only obtain classes through his Dropped Rewards.

Tsubone and the other outsiders were exceptional. They could switch classes using this NPC instance, but only one class could be used simultaneously. Aside from the basic classes from the game, the classes that Hiruma would obtain would be available in the temple.

That being said, he had no intention of sharing his Poseidon class.

Forget about The-Poseidon's potential and powers, which he still didn't fully comprehend; Hiruma was more interested in the everyday classes he could gather around him, such as Healer, for the moment.

After all, unlike in the games, here, or in real life, classes did not reduce people's stats and abilities... They only added to and strengthened them.

At his current level, having people who knew Heal around him and Zing* and Kazing* later was more important. Zing, could resurrect people. Kazing was an improved version that only needed one resurrection attempt to succeed.

"A dungeon, you say?"

Tsubone asked again, her brow furrowed.

"Young master, do you mean a dungeon like the oubliettes in our Castle? Or are you referring to a new word I don't understand?"

"This does not appear to be some kind of Oubliette..."

"Well. In fact, this is..."

Hiruma began explaining new information to the befuddled and stupefied Tsubone once more. Even if there were games and the gaming industry, he obviously didn't tell her about the one from Earth.

Tsubone, who didn't understand gaming, kept nodding. She was perplexed because of her age and because her young master had been born with such a powerfully strange and realistic Nen ability. Following that, she stated,

"Young master, you appear to have a better understanding and control over this Nen ability than I had anticipated."

"Perhaps I'm curious, but what's your secret? What more are you keeping?"

Tsubone was once again inquisitive. But, because her questioning was no longer domineering but rather meek, the boy shrugged and replied contemplatively,

"I'm not certain either... Something occurred following your acceptance and clearance of my Nen-restriction in the hotel. However, no words describe the innate feeling I now have..."

"I'm uncertain if I could explain it to anyone."

Hiruma was relieved after saying this because Pakunoda was not the first person to cause him problems with too many questions in this world—him not being able to face her with his poor strength wouldn't be the problem...

Unaware of what he was thinking, Tsubone frowned and inquired, more curiously but with the same concern,

"Something new? How so?"

He shrugged again,

"It's not necessary to dwell on this. What you need to know is that you should no longer be concerned. At the very least, if I'm not mistaken."

Tsubone immediately inquired suspiciously,

"Really? How can you be so sure of yourself, young master?"

Hiruma responded,

"Tsubone, confidence is life. And life without confidence is a waste of time. Let us not linger on what can harm me or what cannot, okay? Look at us now; aren't we fine? In its normal state, the world should not be malicious."

Tsubone looked at the boy, surprised, for a moment, blinking through her right eye's monocle.

She finally laughed and said,

"You're not exactly normal, young master; this was part of my point. The universe and people have their own dark will. The world could be jealous and hold secret plans for you to be born with such skills."

"The question may always be who will you choose to serve..."

He immediately inquired, perplexed,

"Jealous? Dark?"

He was blinking when Tsubone, this time the mysterious one, said,

"Young master, this world is strange. Sometimes you don't have to do anything to see what you thought was under control escape your grasp. Darkness can appear as light and sometimes conceal the darkest hearts."

"There is something called Yin and Yang in everything. However, you might be too young to understand what I'm saying..."

Tsubone continued, bowing briefly.

"Your wish will be my command, as you requested. I'm not going to ask any questions. If anything happens in the future, please let me know immediately."

"Please remember that it is my responsibility to ensure your safety. In addition to all of my other duties."

He responded,

"I know. But everything is fine now."

Then, cheerfully, he added,

"Let go. We should have work to do here..."

The two walked on the right path leading behind the Alltrades Abbey after the tall, impatient woman smiled.

They were then on their way to the top of a tower surrounded by black miasma and tenebrious, wicked-looking clouds.

This was the home of the undead and restless and Hiruma's unavoidable second boss in this life.
