3 Shattered

Fang walked down the street the crunch of the falling leaves under her feet sounded like music to her as she took a deep breath and breathed in the earthy scent the world gave off around the time autumn came along. She smiled as she looked up to see the golden orb that glowed and shown down on her face. She felt like the happiest girl in the world.

Her phone went off and she picked it up and smiled as she saw a text from Kage, she quickly opened it to see what he had said.

"Fang we need to talk." The text read. That was odd, She shrugged her shoulders and texted back.

"Ok? When?" She asked him.

"Now! Met me on your back porch."

"KK."

She quickly made her way back home and saw Kage had beat her to it. He looked stressed and serious as she walked up to him.

"Are you ok?" She asked.

"I'm just really stressed… look I hate to do this but." He couldn't look her in the eyes when as he spoke.

"I have to break up with you. I need to focus on University and as much as I love you… I can't with you always being over my shoulder."

Fang's eyes widened as her hazel eyes turned to be dark green. It felt like the time slowed as she watched Kage and her face felt like the blood drained from it. She barely felt her movements as she reached for him and a tear slipped down her cheek.

"What? What… did I do?" She asked the words felt tasted vile and sickening to her as she tried to catch his eyes.

"Nothing. I just need to focus…." Kage said looking to the side his hands in his pockets, "I'm sorry it has to be like this Fang, I really do love you."

"NO!" She yelled. He was lying, if he loved her he wouldn't be breaking her like this he wouldn't be hurting her like this. "If you loved me you wouldn't do this! If you loved me you'd take a break or explain to me not… dump me for… for nothing!" her vision blurred as her eyes filled with tears as she shook her head.

"LEAVE! Leave this property and never come back!" She yelled. She felt something rage in her like fire as she watched him turn and walk away.

Once he was gone she broke down, letting tears cascade down her cheeks as sobs racked her body and she shock from the raging feelings of anger and betrayal. She fell to her knees and screamed. The once good day now ruined as her heart that was cracked was now…
