1 Prologue

She stood there watching the fire as the sound of the crisp cracking and gasping of the buildings echoed down in the town below. Her hazel eyes glowed a dark amber as the flames danced in the moonlight. The glow of the flames taunted her, the anger in her heart seemed to burn just as fiercely as the fires she watched.

"I guess this did not help as I intended it would." She mumbled as the wind blew through her once golden brown locks that were now black and teal as her magic started to grow stronger. Her red cloak was stained with the blood and covered her sleeveless black dress with a black cocker like a collar and a heart-shaped cutout that revealed part of her cleavage. On her feet were white boots that faded into black towards the bottom of the shoe. She had a black and teal fox-like tail that swayed behind her. The blood of the man whose death she thought would heal her dripped from her claws and stained the pair of white leather gloves with studded straps that she wore on her wrists.

"Your majesty!" A silvery voice spoke from behind her. She turned to look and saw a man wearing an emerald single shoulder cloak over a black, sleeveless, leather shirt, tight leather pants, and a pair of black leather combat boots. On his right arm was a small detachable crossbow and on his back was another emerald green bow with a matching quiver, on his waist, of arrows with long flowing black feathers on the ends. His hair was blonde with hints of the same forest green that his cat-like eyes sparkled with. He wore an emerald green half-face mask that covered his mouth and nose and a pair of leather detachable cat ears to help disguise himself.

"Yes? What is it Dream Shot?" She asked before she turned back to look at the city that was now turning to ashes. Her hazel eyes now glowed a pale violet as the male spoke.

"I am here to bring you to Shayde and Fenix." Dream Shot explained as he looked up and watched her closely, "It is time we leave my Queen." He cooed softly as he stood up. She stayed silent till she turned towards him completely and smiled.

"I guess it is, isn't it?" She asked and walked towards him, "And please call me Fang, Dream Shot, I don't want the formality right now," She said as she walked past him. Dream Shot followed her as they arrived by the path to see a black and midnight purple Victorian carriage pulled by two pitch-black alicorns with manes and tail made of fire, the flames crackled and popped as they reared up on their two legs their wings spread out and each of them letting out a cry before they settled down as Fang walked up to them.

"Now, now, You're both ok," Fang spoke as she placed a hand on the left one's muzzle and cooed at it.

"My Queen." A low throaty voice spoke as she turned to see two other men standing side by side, one stood on his knee as if he was proposing, bowing slightly and the other standing next to his companion with his back to the other man with a simple smirk on his face.

"You like them, Your Grace?" The one standing asked. Fang smiled and nodded to the men as she spoke,

"Ah, Fenix, Shadye. Are you two getting along yet?" She asked.

"I'd say we are learning to, My Queen," Shadye answered. Shayde was a tall muscular man with tan skin and pointed ears signifying him as a demon, he bore a head of long black hair that ran down to his mid-back and glowing ice blue eyes. He wore a pair of ripped up black leggings and a sleeveless black shirt, with claw-like blades hooked onto the shoulder of his shirt. On his left arm was a glove that went all the way up to mid-bicep with silver markings decorating his shirt and glove. He had a tail of black fur with silver highlights. On his feet, he wore a pair of knee-high black and silver boots. He also wore a silver fur sash over his shoulder.

"It's harder than you'd expect but for a Demon and Demon Slayer yet I'd say we're doing just fine," Fenix added his voice, prideful yet harsh. He wore a black and midnight blue dress shirt with white highlights and details, white jeans, and black boots with white highlights and details. He wore a black trench coat with the same white highlights and details, double-edged detachable collar, and on each shoulder, he had sharp fang like blades. On his back was a large titanium sword, inscribed into the metal of the blade in Japanese was, "With this blade, a phoenix will rise from the ashes" and a bladed whip attached to his hip, wrapped around his waist.

"I'd hardly say that… You two have a lot of work to do if you want to serve our Queen well." Dream Shot said. He had his arms crossed as he glared at the two.

"We cannot fail her," He said before he turned to Fang and smiled bowing before he led her to the door of the carriage. He helped her up the steps and into the carriage.

"You don't have a right to say a word Dream Shot!" Shayde snarled his tail swishing behind him as he got into the driver's seat.

"It's not like you've ever had to work along-side your arch-enemy," Fenix growled as he joined Shayde in the driver's seat grabbing the reins.

"Now, now boys, Calm down," Fang spoke as she took her Cloak off and folded it, revealing her ears that were underneath the hood.

"There is no need for fighting now is there?" She asked enforcement in her voice. As she leaned back in her seat. She sighed before she growled in both warning and annoyance.

"Yes, your majesty." The three replied.

"Good, Dream Shot I wish for you to join me back here. I do not trust others around these parts and you are my most skilled and precise shot when it comes down to it." She said.

Without a word he joined her in the back of the carriage and sat across from her, readying his arm crossbow in case they were attacked.

"Once we get back to the castle I need to clean my clothes. They are covered in blood, his blood! I don't want my nice outfit ruined by it… contaminated by it!" She growled lowly.

"Yes your Grace. We will get the maids to clean them immediately upon our return." Shayde replied as Fenix whipped the reins and the hell horses started on their way.

"No need, I will do it myself. I shall be the one to get rid of the last of his remains." Fang spoke her voice now low and monotone as she turned to look out of the window.

'He is gone now but yet I am not satisfied. What must I do to fix my heart?'
