3 Group leader.

Leaving the university while killing and collecting the monsters' bodies and leading 50 or so students I was searching for a perfect place to make a base.

"Why are we headed that way? Shouldn't we take our cars and leave the city?." Asked Braylen while the others nodded their heads.

"No, we will not escape the city, for now at least."

"Why is that? Since monsters will attack the most populated areas, we should get away from here." Said Austin this time confused.

And after hearing him, I couldn't help but sigh.

"Huh, well think about it, if you were able to come to that solution.

Think of what people will do? Probably by now most of the population are desperately trying to escape. So roads will become a mass of stationary vehicles and panicked people, making it an open feast for beasts. Do you still want to leave the city?"

"I get it, indeed leaving the city is not the best option. What will we do then?"

"We will head to the apartment building where I used to live, I mean where I currently live, anyway, that building over there."

What I pointed with my finger was a four-story building with four apartments per floor.

For now, choosing this place would be only temporarily, after all, my first priority was to collect enough supplies and to train and level-up those guys. And also I have to find some peoples with particular skills.

After all, staying in a city is suicide since every time a ripple appear monsters will appear on cities so creating a base from scratch in an isolated place is the best solution. Since stronger monsters can destroy walls like nothing. I learned this lesson after losing a lot of friends during those attack. Good thing that my knowledge is still intact or else I would have repeated the same mistakes.

"Wait, why do we have to go to your apartment building, we all are worried about our families. Don't you think it is unfair?" Said a girl and according to Appraisal, her name was Jayla. After all, I wasn't sociable enough to know every student name, good thing appraisal exists.

"Huh, I am not heading there for my family, I currently live alone since my parents have died in an accident 8 years ago. Any more questions?"

"Sorry." After saying that Jayla lowered her head.

"Don't worry about it, it is something from the past. I am heading there because it is the most secure place I can think of since the fence is made of concrete and the gate is solid enough to block those monsters. And since we need some supplies, there are a lot of supermarkets there and also the police station is located nearby."

"Good idea, that way police officers will help us." Said another student.

Police officers!

Oh god, don't tell me I was this stupid back then?

No way, right?

"What are you talking about? Police officers, they must have ceased to exist the moment the apocalypse started. We are on our own, that why we will collect weapons from there. Right? Ady." Answered Jase.

As expected from my friend who just killed his seven monsters and became level 2, after all, we four were able to survive together for a while before stronger monsters start appearing.

And he wasn't just him, some others are also fighting the zombies that I deliberately ignored, after all, they are swordmaster with swords so they have the talent, they only need courage.

"Yeah, exactly Jase, even though I don't need weapons at my current level but they will help all of you to level-up."

After walking for 15 minutes we finally arrived at our destination so approaching I saw more than 10 beasts bodies in front of the gate with bullets marks on them and there were three lizardmen trying to break through I immediately killed them, making my level increase to 9, after all, I killed more than 200 on our way here.

'This must be uncle Damarion doing.'

Uncle Damarion was a previous soldier and my neighbor, and even though he wasn't my real uncle, I respect him a lot because basically I was raised by him. But I didn't know he was a badass until the apocalypse occurred, with his warrior job and a machine gun he started killing monsters like crazy. Seriously if it wasn't him and the fact that he was hiding an armory in his house I would have died in the first three months.

"Uncle Damarion, anyone, open the gate. It is me, Ady. I already killed the other lizardmen."

After a while, the gate opened and what greeted me was a machine gun pointed to my head and the one who was holding it was a muscular 40 years old man, which was of course none other than uncle Damarion.

"Ady, I know you would make it alive. Get in quickly."

"Glad to see alive too. C'mon guys get in quickly, we will become busy from now on."

"GUAH."

Listening to the zombies' moans coming from the side uncle Damarion raised his gun but urging him to stop I raised my right hand to their direction.

"Fireball." After saying that, 5 fireballs with a 15 cms radius assaulted the 5 zombies burning them to ashes.

The nice thing is that the MP get replenished with every level-up since even though I am only using low-level magic that only consumes 50 MP with every attack, but after using it more 500 times that will become a big deal if it wasn't for that fact. After all, I want to act today.

"Wow, that was awesome, how did you do it?" Asked uncle Damarion with an amazed expression.

"I will tell you later, first let's enter. And I want you to gather all the people inside to the first floor, there is something I want to discuss."

"Sure, but you look different, your eyes are like someone who survived a lot of battles and lost a lot of people and you seem stronger. This is just my soldier instinct but even though I am armed I got the feeling that I will not win a battle against you."

Locking the gate I faced him smiling.

"That proves how good you are, uncle. Come on, let's go."

After a while, all the people in this building was gathered. From the university, there were 59 students including my three friends. And from the buildings, there were my 23 neighbors including uncle Damarion and there were a group of 10 peoples who were escaping and ended up here."

"First, to the peoples who don't know me, my name is Ady. I won't force you, people, to follow me or anything but you should know that staying here isn't the best option since this is not an apocalypse. This is an invasion."

After hearing my words confused looks appeared on everybody' face but before anyone can ask a question I continued talking.

"So my objective is to collect as many supplies as we can, then leaving to a deserted place out of the city. I will welcome anyone who wants to go with me and I won't stop anyone who won't."

"Of course I will follow you, Ady."

"Yeah, sure."

"Yup, let's do it."

Said, my three friends without even thinking.

And following them uncle Damarion said.

"Sure thing kid, sticking out with you is the wisest choice."

After that, all the others agreed without much trouble, after all for the students I already proved how strong I am. For my neighbors, they know and trust me. For the other 10, they must have thought that sticking with a larger group provide a better chance of survival.

And so, I became the leader of 92 peoples group.

"Good, now then, Austin, Braylen, Jase, and uncle Damarion. I want to make a list of everyone stats and skills here. Just let them show it to you. Hey everyone, use your appraisal on me."

Seeing that everyone was looking at me I allowed my stats and skills to be shown by their appraisal but of course, I kept my unique skill to myself since my objective was to gain their trust.

"Also, gather all the food you can find here while I head out."

"Wait, I will go with you."

"No, uncle, you will just slow me and you should stay here to protect this building. There may be able to climb the wall or something."

"Huh, fine. Take this gun with you at least, don't worry I have others in my room."

"Thanks."

"Alright."

"Another thing, don't ever open the gate. And distribute some weapons to people you can trust. I will leave it to you, then."

After saying that, I jumped to the top of the three meters tall wall.

"By the way, I will come back this way so don't shot me."

And ignoring his puzzled look, I jumped down to the street and started walking.

'Let's grab food first, I am hungry after all."
