1 Chapter 1: Info (optional read)

U dont have to read this bit. This is only the past and the info of the story, so u can skip.

This is also my first time (trying) making a novel so pls pls plsssss, if there are any problems tell me :))

300 hundred years ago, there has been this enormous earthquake. This caused the land to sink and the sea to emerge. Millions of people died from the lack of knowledge when swimming, the people who knew how to swim were the only survivors. 1 year had past from that day and people started to form in different ways. Skin turned into scales, legs turned into two seperate tails, hands grew webbed, hair grew longer, faces turned shapes, eyes adjusted to the dark, and breathing underwater was invented. It depended on where u lived, for if u lived in the colder regions, your skin would turn blue and handling the cold would be no problem because of the tougher skin you got. We evolved, swam faster, slicker, and more quieter. Some even gained magic, wings, and things no one could ever explain. There were five regions with their lords, the fire region, the winter region, light magic region, dark magic region, and the middle region. We all gave ourselves the name Hufin.

The Fire Region was a place where all the toughest and strongest lived. For they lived in the East, where all the volcanoes erupted and turned the water hotter than 2,200º F, basically hotter than lava. Their skin turned dark red, they had medium thick skin and have four extra fins, two on the back and one on each side of their hips. The lord of the Fire region is Hephaestus and his goddess, Hestia. They ruled over the Fire region together, controlling the volcanoes and fires.

The Winter Region is a place with all the sirens lurking in the waters, for they do not effect all Hufin but the Light Magic Region. Not all the Winter region were siren, some are normal Hufin but with blue skin, tough skin to handle the cold and thicker webbed hands. The Winter region is in the North, with all the ice bergs and cold gushing currents. The water temperature drops more than −109.3 °F, colder than dry ice. The lord of the Winter region is Boreas and his goddess, Marzanna. They ruled over the Winter region together, controlling the ice and the cold.

The Light Magic Region, a place where all light sea fairies lived, honestly i think they are the most annoying little creatures ever to live... only because the keep blabbering about how nice they are. They lived in the West, were all vegetation took place and everything was bright. The water in the Light Magic region was warm, a nice calming temperature, felt like you could just float forever. They evolved more than any Hufin, with magic, wings and were exceptionally light. The lord of the Light Magic region is Apollo and his goddess Theia. Together, they ruled the Light Magic region with peace and harmony.

The Dark Magic Region, where all dark sea fairies lived. They are the most devious of creatures, turning anything they touch into anything they please. The Dark magic region is over in the South, at the very bottom of the map and where darkness arose at every inch. Temperature in the Dark Magic region had a cool but creepy touch to it, like wherever you looked, someone was watching you. Everyone was always alert in that region, although nothing really happened. Wizards and dark dragons lurked those waters, for the Hufin that lived there evolved pointy ears, and their eyes adjusted to the water because there was not much light in the region. The lord of the Dark Magic region is Erebus and his goddess, Nyx. Rulers of the Dark Magic region.

The Middle Region, a place of balance in every way and I mean EVERY WAY. They were probably the most kind, generous and loving out of all the regions, but that is only because they are the most poor and don't want any other to feel the way they do. The Middle region is also the most simple region, for they have light grey skin and the normal of the Hufin. The water there is normal, right in the middle of the temperatures, basically just right. But what makes this place special is one, it's right in the middle of all the regions and two, it's my home. The lord of the Middle region id Poseidon and his goddess, Athena. Together, they ruled over the Middle region, my home.
