2 Attacking the Protagonist

An Eagle were flying high in the sky, soaring towards the Beast Forest. That Eagle is the trusted aid of the Dark Magic King.

The Eagle fly while thinking to himself. 'According to the plot, the protagonist at this time were fighting monsters. Attempting to make an advance to his fighting prowess.

It wasn't long before the man who appeared in the mirror of the Dark Magic King was seen, and fighting a Giant Wolf. That man, the protagonist, didn't back down no matter how scary the wolf looked.

Deciding to watch the fight, the Eagle flew towards a tree not to far away from the fight and settled in a branch. The Eagle didn't make a move and just silently watch the protagonist fight.

The Protagonist attention was focus on his opponent and if someone suddenly attack him, he will die. But the Eagle didn't do that, and just watch the protagonist battle, analyzing it.

The protagonist was barehanded, solely relaying on his little amount of magic. His body were full of scratches and wounds, obviously having a difficult time. The Eagle could tell that the wolf is not ordinary. It's much larger than usual size, even magic had been infused to it.

'Do not worry, the weapon I had would be yours soon' the Eagle muttered to himself, flapping his wings and followed the protagonist.

The fight soon ended, and the wolf finally get killed.

'This is the right time to make myself known' the Eagle muttered and ready himself.

At this time, the protagonist had just won a battle, therefore this is the best moment where his guard was down. The best chance to attack but...

'I had to make sure that it wouldn't inflict a serious injury' The Eagle thought and swooped down and flew towards the protagonist.

The Eagle transform midair and turn into human. Holding the Soul-Devouring Sword, the Eagle man slash it towards the protagonist. But first, he warned the protagonist by shouting before delivering the attack.

"AAAAA"

The protagonist was shocked at the last second and managed to jump back just in time as the sword brush pass his cheeks.

"Nicely done!" The Eagle man exclaimed. This is not for the protagonist, this is for the man's admiration to himself. Even though he's attacked failed, intentionally. The points he would earn by doing that move and scene would be many.

The protagonist stood up and look towards his attacker's figure, a man dress in brown feather.

"Despicable! Who are you? Dare to sneak attack me!"

The Eagle man laughed at the protagonist question and said proudly I am the Dark Magic King trusted aid, an assassin sent to kill you"

"Dark Magic King! The Devil who killed my parents..." hearing the Eagle man's had said, the protagonist eyes were filled with hatred at the Dark Magic King.

"Killing your parents before and now it's your turn" Upon saying that the man pounced towards the protagonist, aiming his swore dangerously to the protagonist neck.

"DIE!"

Eyes flashing with determination, the protagonist hiddenly cast a spell.

"Haha, watch out! This Sword is name the Soul-Devouring Sword, a scratch from this sword can scratch your soul, and It can even devour your soul, and watch you helplessly die" while delivering his attack, the eagle man introduced his weapon and its special uses.

The Protagonist dodged the attack and suddenly started to run, deeper inside the forest.

"Hahaha, you can't run away from me" the eagle man laughed and ran after the protagonist.
