Ch.41 Please work.

After the duel concluded it was decided that I would fight Fenrir. There was no opposition to the idea. The date for the fight was set to be in three days. Because we were worried about the plans that Fenrir might concoct with the death eaters.

Getting ready for a fight meant that I needed to be more efficient and powerful. And since I had the disadvantage of not being able to use my dark spells, I was thinking of ways to defeat Fenrir with Light spells and charms.

I was in the backyard practising spells that I know can be useful in a fight with Fenrir. I had the idea of using the same strategy as I used on Alex. But the problem is Fenrir using the death curse on me.

I had a few options, the first was to dodge, the second was to put a solid object in front of me and the third is that use my incomplete gate spell.

So I was practising my gate spell again. Even though I have practised this spell for a year now I still can't do it. I still keep collapsing into itself.

Daphne came from the house and asked "What are you still doing out here? It's late get inside." She was here for the healing books. She has been spending quite some time in the House.

I said, "I will come inside when this gets done."

She said "That's what you said three hours ago. Just come inside and take a rest then you can go back to doing your experiment."

I was frustrated and said "How am I supposed to rest Daph? What if Fenrir uses... "

Daphne then shouted, "Don't say that... please... don't say that." she was horrified, she knew what I was going to say.

I looked at Daph and was disappointed in myself, I then walked up to her and I sighed and hugged her and said "I am sorry, I should not have said." I then stroked her hair it calmed her down a bit and I said "But I am a bit frustrated because I don't really know if Fenrir will stick to the rules or not."

She then said, "But Thomas said that killing will not be allowed for the duel."

I said, "I know he said that but what happens after the duel. This is Fenrir Greyback we are talking about that guy is a monster. I can't be sure that after the duel he will just give up."

She then looked up asked, "You sure you want to do this then?"

I said, "I still want to."

She then said, "If that's the case then I will help you in any way I can."

I then decided that to take her help because maybe a fresh pair of eyes could help me in archiving results. I then let go of her and we went inside.

I then gave her the two spells and the theory behind the two spells. I was eating and she was engrossed in the study. After I was done eating I asked her "So what did you find?"

She said "Well, according to your notes and the original spell. I have concluded that. The spell that you got from Salazar is a complicated mess but requires less control of magic and the spell you got from your uncle is a bit simple but requires a lot more control over magic."

I was impressed by the deduction if I gave it to any other person from any other year they wouldn't be able to make heads and tails of it. Given she had help from my notes but still it was impressive.

She asked, "What is the problem that you keep running into?"

I said, "Well, I can open it but it kind of collapses onto itself."

She then again started to compare the two and I also started to think of the spells useful against Fenrir.

We then spend the whole knight working on it and in the morning Daph woke me up she shook my shoulder but I didn't got up then she whispered in my ear in a soft tone "Jon, wake up."

I was awake immediately and shot up from my chair and said "I am up, I am up."

Daph then laughed and I looked at her she looked tired she then said "You were not wrong teasing is fun."

I then smiled and said "Good morning Daph."

She then wipped her tear and said "Good morning to you as well."

I the stretched my body and said "Did you found anything?"

She then looked very accomplished and said "Yes, I did."

I was excited and grabbed her shoulders and asked "What did you find?"

She said "Calm down Jon." I then let go of her She then said "Well, from your notes I found that you compared the spell to the apparition right?"

I said "Yes, well in all your notes you say that it collapses into itself because you open it in a clockwise manner, what if you open the gate in an antilock manner?"

I then realised my stupidity I thought that it was the exact same so it should also be used the same but I was wrong. I then pointed my wand and then slowly two purple hue gates appeared in front of me. We were so happy, I then picked Daph up and started to celebrate I was laughing like a maniac. She then said, "Put me down Jon I am getting dizzy."

I then put her down and said "Oh, I am so happy. Thank you, thank you, thank you." I was then looking at her.

She then looked away and said, "Maybe we should test it first?"

I then said, "Yes, let's do that." I then said "Jeely!" She appeared and said, "Yes, master?"

I said, "Bring me some mouse."

She then snapped her fingers and a hand full of rats appeared in a cage then she asked "Is there something else you want heir?"

I said, "Yeah, I am super hungry so please make a big breakfast."

She then asked Daph "What would you have mistress?"

Daph said, "I will just have some juice."

I said, "Don't listen to her make her some pancakes she loves them."

She said, "Jon I am trying to watch what I eat."

I said, "Why?"

She said, "Well, unlike you I have to keep myself in control."

I said "Oh come on, it's a special occasion. Jeely you go and make pancakes."

Daph then looked at me with anger and I said "Let's start the experiment." I then opened two gates in the room next to each other.

I then threw a mice into the gate and it appeared from the other side. I then said "Yes! it works."

I then looked at Daph and said "Daph now throw a spell into the gate."

She then said, "Shouldn't we do this part outside?"

I then realize and said, "Yeah, let's do this outside." I am getting way too excited about this.

We then went outside and I did the same but this time I made two gates in front of each other. One was in front of Daph and the other was in front of a tree. Then Daphne said "Reducto". The spell travelled from one gate to the other and the tree was destroyed to dust.

She then hugged me which was a first, she then let go of me as quick as she hugged me and then she said "We should now test the ability to pass through anti-apparation charms"

I said "Let's go to your house."

She nodded and I made a gate from the backyard to the study room of Greengrass manner.

We then stepped into the gate and we were transported to the study room of Greengrass manor. We saw Florian he was drinking tea. When he saw us he was surprised and confused and he spat the tea and asked "How? Why?"

I laughed and Daph elbowed me and said "We are testing his spell."

He was curious and asked, "What spell is that?"

Daph said, "Sorry dad can't tell you."

I was impressed by that and I said "Let's go back Daph."

Florian then said, "Get back here with my daughter you brat."

We then went inside the gate and I closed the gate, we then went and got some breakfast and just took a nap, well Daph did I was out testing the gate spell.

I wanted to test the distance limit if it did have any in the first place. I then created a gate and first stick my head out and said "Yuri it's me close your eyes?"

I then entered the gate and I was greeted by Yuri she then ducked down low and said: "Master it's been long where have you been."

I then petted her she was covered in slime and I said: "Come Yuri I am taking you out."

She asked, "Are you sure master that will be safe you know with all the ministry and stuff?"

I said, "I had specially made a house which has a small forest for you."

She was excited and went inside the gate and I followed her. I have never seen Yuri so happy I was soo happy for her, she was finally under the open sky.

She said "Thank you, master, it's because of you I am finally free. I always thought that I would die in that chamber."

She then ducked down low and said "Master get on my back let's see how is my new home."

I then got on her back and then she slithered her way into the forest. We explored the forest. I had made the house so that I can keep Yuri. She found a cosy cave and decided to make that her home.

I then said goodbye to Yuri and told her to not go beyond that lake because that is not mine and she obeyed and then I made a gate to my home and went to my home.

And now because of Daph, I am able to use an extraordinary spell, that is busted.

I want to talk about the working behind the gate spell I checked all the apparition scenes from Harry Potter and all of them work in a clockwise manner so I decided to make the gate anticlockwise. I know that it is a very simple reason as to why it wasn't working but it doesn't have to be complicated as to why the spell was not working.

And secondly, Mc will not whip out this spell all that often he will mostly use it to travel from his room to the chamber of secrets and the ROR. Mc will whip out this spell in case if someone uses the killing curse.

And thirdly, I heard all of you and almost none of you hate Alyssa and just want her to interact more with the group, which will happen after the fight with Fenrir. She will be like our right-hand person, working closely with Mc.

And Fourth most of the people are not against Boruto, if I change up some stuff most people are worried that I will drop this or something. I can ensure you all that I will not be dropping this. It is one of my most successful works and about the updates, I am already working on a series which is named Legacies: the legacy of a demon and both the ff gets regular updates. So you don't have to worry there as well.

And some of you said to work with Hotd or R.E. but the truth is I don't want to work with Zombies, even if I start all of it will feel forced, I kinda want to work with Boruto because I feel I can make it better if I am given a chance. So I am once again asking for your support.

And please guys only one of you uploaded a pic about Mc which was a good one but please give some more suggestions, otherwise, that becomes a permanent look for Mc.
