8 Ch. 08 Spending some time with dad.

I was just standing in front of DADA class thinking about how this will go. I gathered my resolve and entered the class, I sat alone as usual. In a few minutes, the Class started. Quirrel or should I say Voldy is teaching the class. If you can ignore the stutter he was teaching good stuff.

I wasn't able to quite fully relax because the guy was one of the most powerful wizards of all time. The class came to an end everyone was leaving, fortunately, that class went well and I was about to leave the room with Victoria and that is when I heard "M-Mr. Jonatan C-Could I have a moment of your time?"

I was stopped in my tracks I turned around and asked "Yes, professor?"

Quirrel said, "It's n-nothing I just s..aw that you were a bit distressed so I wanted to ask are you doing are you a-alright?"

I said "I am fine prof. I am just having a hard time adjusting that is all but sir I must say your lecture was one of the most informative I have ever attended."

Quirrel "Oh its my pleasure to teach such dis...ciplined stude..nts if you want you can come to me for any qu...ery you have."

I gave a fake smile and said "thank you prof."

I then left the class and signed in relief that he didn't know who I was. I dusted my robes and went towards the ROR.

Inside the DADA class "Is there something wrong master?" Quirrel asks

The raspy voice responded, "There is something about that boy that feels familiar, it is like I know him somehow, we need to keep an eye on him."

When I was on the seventh floor I just felt a shiver down my spine, I then went inside the room and I found rows of books and tables and chairs. These must be the books curated by Rowena.

I just looked at the books and I picked up some books about old Runes and Charms it was Rowena's personal book. It was so interesting I found a Rune that she was researching about utilizing the surrounding ambient mana to be used as energy the problem was it was too complicated to make.

There was another it was about magical creatures like Basilisk, werewolves, vampires and other such things. There was a whole book about werewolves and Vampires and I saw something that was very interesting to me. This book was separated into two parts and this book was written by two authors. 1. Rowena Ravenclaw, 2. Salazar Slytherin.

I spent my time in the ROR and tried to soak up as much as I could. I looked at the time it was about 7:45. I hauled my ass to the great hall.

I sat with Victoria, Olivia and Daphne. Victoria looked at me and asked, "Where were you we couldn't find you anywhere."

I took some soup in my bowl and said "Ah, Prof. Quirrel and I were talking about dark arts that is why we were late."

Daphne was confused and asked, "You really liked his class?"

I took some bread and dipped it in soup and said "Oh, yeah once you ignore the stutters. The man is really knowledgeable in dark arts, it's a shame that some people can't look past some stuff."

Daphne looked down and Victoria looked at me and I said, "I didn't mean you, Daphne, you have been very accepting of me, I just meant people as in the general populace, I didn't mean to hurt you."

Daphne then said "It's alright... " We then ate and peacefully went to sleep.

After a few days, the DADA class became my favourite I could ask any questions about dark magic to him and I had plenty and it was not just about dark arts it was also about how it is perceived in society.

I was having an extra class with Voldy in the DADA room and asked "Why is it that many witches and wizards don't condone the use of dark spells?"

Quirrel looked at me and smiled and said "Dark arts is a very complica...ted branch of magic, it can give you unimagi-i.....nable power, power with which you can accomplish any...t-hing. The fact of the matter remains is that because of some people it had been assoc...iated with bad m-ma..gic."

I asked some more questions from him the vast knowledge he had about dark magic was seemingly endless but he was also had deep knowledge about Runes and Arithmancy. He told me that Dark magic can give you so much power but in turn, you also lose something, your humanity.

It seems like he is taking an interest in me by the amount of time I have been spending with him. I just hope he does find out now.

I have lived my life in pursuit of immortality and power and I had both until I was defeated and had lost my body, but nonetheless, I can still gain my power as long as I can steal the stone.

Today is the day that the first year's start the classes I need to disguise myself so that No one gets suspicious, I must have that stone.

When I was teaching the class there was one who got my attention it was a filthy Muggle his name is Jonathan, but for some reason, I felt that I had some connection with him I think I need to investigate him.

I have taken an interest I the boy his thirst for knowledge is just like mine when I was his age, well I do have a lot in common with the boy, both of us were orphans, both are looking for a place in the world and both of us have a need to prove ourselves.

As the days go by I see more of myself in the boy and I don't like that. I need to find his origins.

Today is the flying lesson and if I am anything like my father I should be good at it.

Prof. Hooch came and gave us the instructions.

My broom came to me in one try, Harry also accomplished that as well as Draco. People got a laugh when Ron got smacked on the nose with the broom.

Then we all mounted our broom and we were instructed to just float and come back down but Neville just kept going up and when he panicked he moved uncontrollably and crash-landed he broke his hand.

Prof. Hooch took him to the hospital wing and Draco tried to be a dick.

"Did you look at him if he had given this a squeeze he might have remembered to fall on his fat ass?"

Harry stepped up and said "Give it back Malfoy"

Draco turned around and said "I don't think so Pottah"

I said, "Give it to him he can give it back to Neville."

He snapped back at me and said "Stay out of it you Mudblood."

I gave him a disappointing face and said "you have to think of something better to insult me with I have been hearing that one for one week, don't tell me you can't do any better than Mudblood maybe it's because you can't because if you do the last remaining two brain cells of yours might die?"

Slytherin looked at me mad Daphne had no expression, Victoria and Olivia were enjoying it and Griffindor students were laughing.

Draco turned red and said, "Don't mess with me, you Orphan."

Many people gasped Victoria was angry and Griffindor was like 'this is awkward'

I said, "Now you are just stating facts it's like me saying you are daddy's little princess or Crabbe and Goyle having less IQ than a Rock or Pansy.... yeah no she is too easy to make fun of."

Everyone was now laughing even the Slytherin because most of them didn't really like Draco and the gang.

Draco tried to say "My father.."

I cut him off "Kisses me good night?"

Ron even said "Bloody hell."

Draco tried to go with his gang but I said "Princess I am going to need that Rememberall"

He threw the remembrall in the opposite direction at the wall but I stopped it from being destroyed I stopped the ball with magic and floated it towards me and said: "Thank you Princess will remember this."

After that, I gave the Remembrall to Hermione.

She said "Thank you" she had a guilty expression on her face.

I said "Thank you? Neville is my friend as are you, yeah we kind of stopped hanging out but that doesn't mean we are not friends."

She nodded and said, "Sorry, I didn't know how to interact with you."

I said, "It's okay, nothing to worry about."

Harry gave me a look that was kind of like an approval look. We all then moved out of the grounds and I was then summoned to Snape's office. I kind of knew this was going to happen.

I was in front of his office and I knocked the door opened he was writing some papers.

"Sit down Mr Jonathan I have heard a complaint about you from Draco."

He then stopped writing and I was seated in front of him.

He then asked, "What happened?"

I said, "Well, Neville got injured and..."

he cut me off and said, "Get to the point."

I said, "Draco tried to destroy my friend's property so I stopped him from doing so."

I then asked, "Is that all he says you used magic on him?"

I said with a cold face "I didn't."

He then leaned back on his chair and said "If that is the case then you can go."

When I got up was about to leave I heard "You have very good magic control Mr Jonathan silent casting a charm is not an easy feat. I would like to suggest that you try to keep a low profile most wizards don't like our kind."

I turned around and said, "Thank you, sir, for the advice and the praise."

Could have been worse. I thought to myself. I also joined Victoria in the library to do my homework and found that she and Hermione were now friends. Which was pretty dope and I just did my homework with them and left to spend some more time in ROR and studied till it was dinner time.

After the incident of the Flying lesson, most of the Slytherin wasn't really fond of me except they still came to me if they had a problem studying. After that my stocks went down in Slytherin but went up at different Houses.

Our study group with Hermione and Victoria got some new members.
