5 Ch. 05 Surprise MF.

While we were sitting in the coach we passed some of the most beautiful scenery that I have seen. The train moved through grassy meadows, Running along Rivers the sun was smiling on us, it was a good day.

While we were talking about the subjects that were offered in Hogwarts.

"I am very excited to learn about everything, Did you know that the great hall ceiling is enchanted to show the scenery from outside." She was petting the cat when she asked the question. I think petting her cat makes her feel a bit calm.

"Well, the first year is more about learning theory and small magic, so not that worried about the course, I am more excited about learning how to fly and discovering more of Hogwarts," I said while looking at the cat. The cat was now asleep and was purring in her lap.

"Do you like cats?" She asked with a little giggle.

"I love all animals, and it seems they also like me." I then asked her "Well, Hermione what is it that your parents do?"

"My parents are dentists, they have their own clinic." She said proudly, this might have been the first time when someone might have asked what do her parents do and them understanding what is it that they did.

While we were having a nice chat about magic and other stuff about muggle technology and why some of the things were still not adopted in the Wizarding world, a toad was on the loose in the train and a young redhead was in pursuit of the said toad.

"Where did it go? It was right here a moment ago. Maybe I should ask in the coaches?".

"So you have already read about most of the books in our school year?" Hermione was surprised by the revelation that I had read most of the books.

"I mean it's not that hard it's the most basic magic and I had some time to read on the main subjects so...." I gave an explanation that was not well received. She tried to hit me. "Hey..?"

while were arguing we heard a knock and the door opened and a voice came "Excuse me have you seen a toad? Neville lost his toad?".

It was a redhead she was wearing a lavender colour dress her hair was tied in a ponytail. She was about 4'6" tall had freckles on her face.

I looked at her and said teasingly, "I don't think so a toad will come to our room her cat would have eaten it.~" As soon as I said that I received a kick on my leg.

"My cat what about your snake?" Hermione was very upset at my comment.

"Oh, come on Cotton can never do that. She is the sweetest little snake". I said as someone who loved his child too much.

Seeing both of us bicker. It made the girl laugh. After a few moments, we all were laughing.

I put my hand forward and said "Hi, my name is Jonathan. This is Hermione Granger the cat lady." I received another kick on my leg and continued "Ouch... And you are?"

She wiped her tear and sook my hand and said "Hi, I am Victoria Potter."

And after hearing her name I just froze. This is the Potter twin that I have read about. She looked at me and saw that I was frozen and said "Are you alright?" her question had a subtle annoyance to it maybe it's because everyone always does this when they get to know who she is.

"I....ahem am alright so you are the half of the famous Potter siblings huh?".

When she heard it. She became a bit rigid and said "Oh, please don't tell me you are also going to beg me to introduce you to my brother?". Her voice had an annoying tone well anyone would be annoyed if only their sibling got all the attention and not them. It might have made her feel that she was neglected.

"Actually I am more interested in meeting you, have heard about your immense potions knowledge, is it because of your mother? Heard she was a favourite student of Slughorn?" When I said my piece she was elated. I was genuinely more interested in her, her existence alone makes my job easier. I can use her in two ways.

"What about your Toad?" Asked Hermione her voice didn't really have a concern but more of an annoyance.

"Oh yes, I should be leaving I need to check up on the other compartments." She was trying to leave in a hurry and I just grabbed her hand and said.

"Might I suggest a better way?" she was blushing a bit she didn't notice it first but my face was very cute. 'I think I have to also thank my father for my silver tongue and my looks'. Hermione was glaring at me and I let go of her hand and said "You should just ask the conductor to make an announcement for the missing toad."

When she heard what I said it made her feel a bit stupid and her cheeks were now red with embarrassment and she just took off. 'I hope we meet again Miss Victoria.'

I then sat down next to a very surprised looking Hermione "What?" I asked. She said "Nothing!" and just pouted "What did I do?".

In a different compartment was sitting Ron and a very concerned Harry in a compartment full of candy and toffee.

"Where is she? What is taking her this long maybe we should have gone with her?" said a worried Harry.

"Don't worry mate she is fine she will be back in a few minutes." Ron said trying to ease his friends worry.

Then an announcement came "If anyone has seen a toad alone, please report to compartment no 6. Thank you."

"Well that was a brilliant idea from your sister," said a happy Ron.

"Well, she is the smart one. I wouldn't have expected anything else from my sister" said a proud brother.

After a few min, Victoria reached her compatrment and sat down.

"Did you find the toad?". Ron asked.

"Huh...? Ah, yes someone saw it in the toilet and reported it." said a very lost in thought Victoria. Her cheeks were still red.

Harry placed his hands on her shoulder and asked "What happened?".

"Nothing happened. I am fine." Victoria removed Harry's hand and just gazed out of the window and just smiled.

Ron just looked at Harry in a confused at Harry as to what happened to his sister. Harry was just as confused as his friend.

The train made an announcement as to leave your pets and your luggage in the train they will be transported separately to your dorms.

I left Nimbus and my luggage but there ain't no way I am leaving Cotton alone. As I got out of the train we saw Hagrid, he was huge my neck hurt to look at his face. He said to get on the boat and no more than 4 on each boat.

Hermione and I were on the same boat as Seamus and Neville. We introduced ourselves and they were pretty nice.

As the school came in sight it was just jaw-dropping the Castle was light with torches and the stary night with the atmosphere of the lake it looked like something right out of fairy tales.

We reached the dock and Hagrid did a headcount and we then moved towards the castle I could see Harry walking with Ron and Victoria. Harry looked different from the original he looked very healthy and had an average body mass.

We reached the castle gates and hagrid knocked on it thrice and the gates opened.

Inside of the castle was as much as beautiful as outside the rustic stone walls were complimented by the light from the torches.

McGonagall was waiting for us inside the castle she was wearing her ostrich green robes with her hair tied in a bun and a large hat. She and hagrid had their talk and then we moved towards the great hall.

We stopped in front of a large gate behind which was the great hall. We all could hear the older students laughing and talking with each other.

McGonagall turned towards us and said "Welcome to Hogwarts, The start of term banquet will begin shortly, but before you take your seats in the Hall, you need to be sorted into your Houses. The sorting ceremony is crucial because you will spend your seven years with your housemates growing and changing a house is something like a family".

She continued after a pause "The four houses are Griffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. Each house has its noble history and each produces outstanding wizards. While you are at Hogwarts your achievements will earn you house points, while any rule-breaking will lose house points the house which has the highest points will win the House Cup, which is a great honour. I hope each of you will be a fine addition to your houses".

I just thought to myself that Griffindor is going to win the house cup from now on so is there even a point.

"The sorting ceremony will begin shortly I suggest everyone tidy yourselves up. I shall return in a few moments. please wait patiently" and she left us there.

I just looked at Hermione she was very nervous I said "It's going to be fine you don't have to worry, any house will be lucky to have you." She looked at me and gave a nod.

I looked around and asked the boys "How are you guys doing? You okay Neville?" Neville was literally shaking.

I then slapped his back and said "You are going to be fine man, just try to relax."

Neville then placed his hand on his back and asked "How are you so calm Jon?"

I then looked at him and winked and said "I am not I am just pretending to be calm." I then showed him my hands they were shaking. "This is the trick you never show anyone you are scared and people believe that you are brave."

He then looked at my hands and took a deep breath and calmed himself.

I then looked around and found Daco arguing with Ron and Harry. Victoria looked disinterested, she then looks at me and I wave my hand and she waved back.

McGonagall came to take us and saw Draco and Harry had an argument the Great Hall looked stunning the hall was lit by thousands and thousands of candles which just floated in the air over four long tables.

On the tables sat the entire schools' students. These tables were laid with glittering silverware. At the top of the hall was another long table where teachers were sitting.

Prof. made us stand in a single line. We were pierced with the gazes of thousands of students.

As I stared up I could see the sky and Hermione tugged my robes and asked "Amazing, isn't it?". I answered "Yeah" and it really was amazing to see all this in person, it was beautiful.

Prof. Mc. stepped forward, holding a list of names of students on a parchment "When I call your name sit on the stool and put on the hat and you will be sorted into your house" she started to call names.

"Hermione Granger" she stepped up and sat on the stool and the sorting house put her in Griffindor. She was happy and I clapped for her she then seated with the Griffindor students.

"Harry Potter" The entire school went silent and looked carefully but to none's surprise, he was put in Griffindor. Griffindor table was very happy they got Harry.

"Jonathan" I stepped up and sat on the stool and the hat was put on my head.

"Where should I put you? You are brave but you deem it to be stupid to always stand up for someone else, You value self-accomplishment more than the group effort, you want knowledge but don't want any useless academic competition, yes, you have great ambition and a need to prove your self but not to anyone to your self I know just where to put you."

The conversation was now getting intense every professor and student was now looking at me. And then the Hat shouted. "Slytherin!"

And many of the students were shocked to see that a muggle was heading to Slytherin, I mean there have been times where half-bloods were in Slytherin but this was a first. Little did these shitheads know, I had a lineage far greater than theirs.

I then got up from the stool and McGonagall and just looked at me and I just said "I don't know what happened?"

When I was going towards the Slytherin table the snakes were ready to bite me and I just thought to myself 'This is not going to be easy now is it?'. I then sat away from everyone.

Seamus and Neville were put in Griffindor and most of the students were now sorted Draco and the gang were now in Slytherin and were giving me death glares.

"Victoria Potter" at this point everyone thought that she was also going to Griffindor as his brother but they were wrong. "Slytherin!"

The entire Hall went silent and everyone was in disbelief but Victoria was happy she walked up to the table and Draco tried to greet her but she brushed him off and walked up to me and said: "Is this seat taken?".

I then looked at her welcomed her and said "Please join me."

She sat down next to me and 2 people were very angry. Harry, Draco and the Headmaster was intrigued by the development that had happened.
