Chapter 193: Grey Lady

Arthur stepped out of the office, and there were already a few young wizards gathered around.

Everyone knew about the incident with Harry receiving a Firebolt broomstick, and they were here to see the results.

Roger Davies was becoming impatient and asked, "So Arthur, can Harry use the Firebolt?"

He was a little anxious because only Ravenclaw had two Firebolt broomsticks at the moment.

If Harry's could be used, Gryffindor would definitely be a strong match.

Roger was already in his seventh year and wanted to win the Quidditch Cup for Ravenclaw as his leaving gift.

"Grey Lady, is there something you wanted to tell me?"

Arthur got straight to the point. It was strange to be on a date with a ghost in a tower late at night.

"Did you receive the Slytherin inheritance?" She asked.

As soon as the words left her mouth, Arthur's expression changed.

He hadn't told anyone about this, so how did Grey Lady know?

Seeing Arthur's reaction, Grey Lady spoke calmly as if explaining.

"As the daughter of the founder of our house, I still hold certain privileges in this school."

Arthur fell silent. Grey Lady, originally known as Helena Ravenclaw, was the daughter of Rowena Ravenclaw, one of the school's founders.

When she was young, She had a complicated relationship with her mother. She admired her mother's intelligence and wisdom but also resented her.

In a conflicted state of mind, she stole her mother's diadem and fled to Albania.

Rowena Ravenclaw fell ill and wanted to see her daughter one last time, then she sent Helena's fiancé, The Bloody Baron, to bring her back.

The Bloody Baron and Helena argued when she refused to come back with him, and he accidentally killed her before taking his own life out of grief.

Since then, they both had become ghosts at Hogwarts.

"Yes, I received the Slytherin inheritance last year,"

Arthur answered truthfully. He didn't lie because there was no need to.

He was just surprised by how much Grey Lady knew about it, not the inheritance itself.

Upon hearing Arthur's reply, Grey Lady nodded in satisfaction, but her expression showed some anger as she let out a faint hum.

"Actually, I found out about this after you received the inheritance token," Mrs. Gray said.

Arthur was puzzled by this.

It had been over a year since he received the inheritance.

Why was she only approaching him now?

Seeing his confusion, the Grey Lady provided an answer.

"I have been observing you for this past year. I wanted to see what kind of person could make Slytherin pass on the inheritance to a Ravenclaw wizard."

She spoke the truth. Ever since Arthur gained the inheritance, she has been keeping an eye on him.

However, it was only today that she confronted Arthur.

"Alright, so you want me to give this inheritance to Hogwarts, then?" Arthur asked tentatively.

Arthur had also considered passing on the inheritance to Hogwarts, but he had seen everything left by Slytherin.

In the current Hogwarts, it would only expand the Restricted Section and wouldn't bring any benefit to young wizards.

It might even benefit those who could possibly go down the wrong path.

For this reason, Arthur hesitated to hand it over.

Grey Lady sneered at this, saying, "Whether you give away those things or not, it has nothing to do with me. I am already a ghost, I don't care about these things."

"I just think it's strange that a Ravenclaw wizard received Slytherin's inheritance but still hasn't searched for his own house's inheritance. Could it be you don't want it?"

As she finished speaking, she appeared angry.

Arthur's eyes brightened. He understood the meaning behind Grey Lady's words.

"Are you saying that you have a clue about Ravenclaw's inheritance?"

"Of course,"

The Grey Lady proudly replied.

"Can you tell me where exactly it is?"

Arthur asked and looked at her expectantly.

"Didn't you already go there?" she said.

Huh?

Arthur was momentarily stunned. He had been there before.

A flash of realization crossed his mind, and he blurted out, "The Room of Requirement?"

The Grey Lady didn't say anything, she just glanced at him and then drifted away.

Arthur didn't leave, his brain was spinning wildly.

If there was anything in this school that could rival the Chamber of Secrets regarding magical surprises, it was definitely the Room of Requirement.

But he was also a regular visitor to the Room of Requirement, and he had not noticed anything unusual there.

Or perhaps, the Room of Requirement itself was an anomaly.

Today, thanks to Grey Lady's hint, Arthur suddenly realized that he possessed a goldmine but had been using the gold to make a hoe.

"Is this what they mean by having a treasure but being unaware?"

He chuckled and laughed at himself, and his figure disappeared from the spot.
