38 Chapter 38 : Philosopher's Stone 3
A deadly green light flew towards Nick, but he dodged it and sent back his own killing curse towards the enemy.
Voldemort was surprised, he never has seen any first-year who could be this strong, even he was not this strong when he was Nick's age.
Nick on the other hand was having trouble handling Voldemort, no matter whether he had experience dueling in the past or was in possession of Elder Wand. This body of his is still untrained and doesn't work exactly like how his previous body used to work.
Power-wise both of them were the same, which stunned both of them, it surprised Nick because even after using some nasty rituals to increase his power and even possessing the Elder wand, he is only equal to the current Voldemort who doesn't even have the majority of his power, and using Quirrell's body.
Voldemort was surprised because there even existed a first-year student who could go against him. It's unheard of and not real at all. But he was not the master of dark arts for nothing, he already sensed the dark rituals performed by Nick on his body, even dumbledore might not be able to trace them but he is different, his knowledge about dark magic far exceeds Dumbledore's.
[For reader's understanding, consider them both around LEVEL 3 Advance, power wise]
Spells fly like bullets and neither of them was backing down, and it was not a child duel. It was a life-and-death fight, and nothing less than unforgivable was cast here.
Casting dark magic inside Hogwarts was bound to attract attention, and here too the attention where brought to them, Snape who was patrolling the corridors after sensing the magical infliction rushed through the third floor corridor.

Rose, Hermione and Ron finally decided to act when everyone in their dorm was asleep. So in the darkness of the night when no one was awake in the Gryffindor common room, all three of them came out to go after the stone.
No one except a certain boy who shared the same fate as Harry Potter himself, Neville Longbottom stood there with a nervous look on his face, the boy lacked confidence and was constantly bullied, Orion even tried to help the boy as he considered him to the real victim in the entire book, Movies never really did justice to Ron or Neville.
But the first year was so hectic for him that he hardly got time to talk to him, let alone help him out.
"You are going to break rules again, I will not let you decrease more points from the house, I will.... I will fight you," Neville said, although the words were normal, but he needed extreme courage to say those words.
The poor boy was paralysed the next second by Hermione. "You are scary you know, brilliant but scary," Ron added his two cents, already having precognition of his future being the husband of Hermione Granger.... Well no but he should really think about that and not just go after the girl by just how she looked in the future even if that is Emma freaking Watson.
"Come on, he can't delay anymore...," Rose said and grabbed both of them and rushed towards the third-floor corridor.

Snape was expecting that something would happen tonight. Dumbledore never said it but, after knowing the man for so many years, snape can tell that much.
When Dumbledore was finally not here, this made his premonition even stronger, so he decided to patrol the corridors, looking around for anything suspicious, especially the two people whom he had been suspicious of this entire year.
Quirinus Quirrell and Nick Iron, these two people were on his radar. He was going out of his way to make Rose distance from these two people as much as possible, maybe it was because Rose looked just like "his Lil.." cough* cough* I mean Lily. Poor Harry Potter never had this privilege.
Well considering that he might still burst his nuts after thinking about his Redheaded crush and now her daughter looks the same he might be having a good time thinking about her.... I guess it's better that Harry was a boy....
While moving through the corridor Snape suddenly felt Magic, powerful dark magic. He was aware of this magic, any wizard or witch will be aware of this kind of magic as long as he or she lives long enough to be a part of the war which turns the wizarding world upside down.
Snape with all his haze, sprinted towards the source of the magic with a grimace on his face.

It was a pretty equal fight at the start but later on, Nick started to get overwhelmed, by Quirrelmort. It was the skills which were he lacked, not to mention his current body was just not strong enough to handle a life-and-death battle with the darkest dark lord of all time, considering that Grindelwald was more powerful but not as dark as he had a vision, he was working for the wizarding world, at least on his own twisted way so yeah.
Even his enhanced body thanks to all the dark rituals he did, was not a match for Quirrellmort. Just as he was getting overwhelmed, he heard a voice, those were footsteps and someone was rushing towards them.
"Shit," he cursed but then decided to use this to his advantage. He quickly hid his face and waited for Snape to come, well he didn't know that it was Snape.
The moment Snape arrives, Nick turns into black smoke getting out of the way, making Quirrellmort and Snape face each other, of course, snape doesn't know that he is facing Voldemort as it is still Quirrell's face.
[This was Snape's magic and yes it's usable inside Hogwarts as we see in the last movie]

Nick with all his speed rushed toward the entrance of the labyrinth and entered, not even bothering to check the ward as he was thinking about passing them or totally destroying them anyway, all the blame would be shifted to Quirrellmort while he ripe the benefits. He saw the sleeping dog and with a powerful spell blasted his head to move him, and finally jumped down.

And you guys must be thinking that Orion will fight head on for the stone, nope not happening.
Hope you like the chapter, I'm rushing a little considering that the major plots of the story will be unveal in the later stages of the story so no point wasting time here.
