Chapter 187 : A Talk With Dumbledore

Seeing Dumbledore flustered like that, Orion smirks.

Quickly wiping the spilled tea Dumbledore sends a glare at Orion but then easy his features. By far how much he has known Orion is that he is more troublesome than the Weasley twins if he is not focused on exercise or something else. 

But he still preferred a naughty kid over a future dark lord any day of the week. After all by how much he has seen in his life, the usual naive kids are more or less the one with good in there hearts. 

Those with dark hearts either refrain from coming into the limelight or show themselves in a positive light as much as possible. 

"So you wanted to talk about something right ?" Orion asked with a grin. 

"Ah yes, Orion I have to say that I am impressed. You have grown quite a bit from the last time I saw you. Not only you have attended great feats in magic but also I see there is a great boost in your confidence." Dumbledore said with a smile. 

Orion though wasn't sure whether this was just a sweet talk or a taunt from the old man. 

"Well glad that someone noticed, and dont worry this sudden surge of confidence has nothing to do with the dark side," Orion just rolled his eyes and jumped at the sofa, completely disregarding that Dumbledore was standing there. 

Though he didn't plan to show up much but cause trouble for others as long as its noting major, he surely will. 

And who is better suited than the grandfatherly headmaster of the school?

This might also relax the old man around him. Showing his naughty side might make him believe that besides all these magical attainments he is still a kid. 

A Kid who wants to learn from him. 

Surely he wouldn't mind some points to Orion about Transfiguration if he asked nicely, right ?

Dumbledore at this was gawking, there was a twitch in his eyes but at the same time, there was a little stunned face on his face. 

He wasn't sure whether to berate the boy for his utter lack of disrespect he was bad before with manners but now it's getting worse, or be shocked that he knew about the symptoms of using dark magic. 

If Dumbledore didn't know better he would have thought that Orion got inside his head just like how he did with Snape. There was already a sweat running down from his forehead. 

The only thing which made him sure that Orion wasn't in his head was him not even thinking anything about dark magic right now. He already knew that Orion was not using any kind of dark magic. He possesses the purest magic Dumbledore has ever seen. 

And to some extent Orion logic work out as well, seeing Orion acting much like the naughty kid he usually behaves like, Dumbledore just couldn't associate him with an emerging dark lord. 

More like a naughty kid with powers and knowledge similar to a dark lord.

hmmm...

Now he is not sure which one is worst for the wizarding world.

"I am surprised that you know this much about dark magic," Dumbledore said, earlier he was just thinking of talking about Orion's new rings but now maybe the talk will be lengthier.

"Huh hmm. Light magic or Dark magic, are just two sides of a coin. Both lead to the same place but one side corrupts us while looking easy to achieve and the other side makes us suffer hardship but it's much more safer." Orion said with a smile.

Dumbledore sighed, he couldn't believe that he was hearing this from a boy only one-tenth of his age. But normal logic doesn't apply to Orion anyway. 

"I agree," Dumbledore just nodded. 

"But that doesn't explain how you know so much about dark magic ?" Dumbledore asked again. 

"Hmm, well let's just say that I had a talk with an old man just like you. He has experienced much magic in his life. Told me that the power one gets from darkness is temporary with a huge interest rate. 

Light magic might be hard but if it's me then maybe I can break the matrix," Orion replies with his nonchalant tone. Like he was discussing about what is better, a pizza with extra cheese or a Cheez burger with extra cheese. 

Surely both are good but still men kind since ancient times have waged wars to declare one superior to the other. 

[Really ?...

Dumbledore on the other hand only understand 90% of what Orion said. 

What is Matrix ? he has no idea. But knowing the boy, if he dared to ask him then he surely would lose a night of sleep over extremely profound knowledge which has zero relevance to their current predicament. So he chose not to open his mouth for the greater good.

Orion seeing Dumbledore pondering something couldn't help but say. 

"You got something to talk about, right? Then let's talk," Orion with a jolt jumped up from his sofa and started to poke around Dumbledore's office.

Seeing the indifference in Orion's demiere Dumbledore's eyes again twitch. 

He closed his eyes and his mind he quickly sorted out what he wanted to talk about, and many points had to be added to his talk. And then finally was ready to talk but that upon opening his eyes, he saw his entire office geography change in that few seconds. 

Though nothing was messy almost nothing beside his desk was in its original place. 

He found Orion once again in the sofa but the sofa itself was at the corner of the book near the window while a small stool was holding up a stack of books.

Dumbledore's eyes almost popped out of his eyes when he saw what kinds of books these were. Almost all the books he banned from the library even the restricted section were in his office, and now they were in Orion's hand. 

"TCH TCH TCH, I am disappointed honestly. You are considered to the the greatest white wizards of this era and here is what I find. 

Books darker than my Google history and what I see here are some personal handwritten notes by ours truly. Interesting," Orion said with a smile on his face.

He wanted to take those books away but Orion was quicker. 

"Hey, can I take a copy of this? Though most of these dark rituals are useless to me I am very interested in his forbidden runes and this alchemy book here," Orion grinned. 

"No," Dumbledore almost shouted and with a swing of his wand, he not only took the books back but also rearranged his office to its original state.

"Tch, that's not cool at all," Orion just pouted and didn't talk about the books again. He will get those books but not right now right. He just started looking around for another interesting thing to mess with in the office.

Dumbledore looked at the devilish smile on Orion's face and knew that the bastard came just to annoy him.

And he was right when the next second Orion was found quarrelling with the painting of the past headmasters of Hogwarts. 

[Are you sure that you are just copying Gojo and not turning into him ?] Merlin asked with a dumbfounded look.

After wasting much time and annoying Dumbledore, the talk finally started.

"So you call me here because you want me to hold back my Focus Ring Project," Orion said after listening to Dumbledore's long-ass speech. And yes by now he has accepted the new name for his project. 

"Yes," Dumbledore firmly said.

"Hmm..." Orion thought about it. He kind of understands what Dumbledore was trying to do here. It would be dangerous and troublesome if any of the death eaters ended up finding this ring. 

"Well, now that you have pointed this out I will act a little serious. I know why you are hesitant about me putting this ring in the market for sale," Orion said as he took out the ring and started to toy with it. 

"Hmm, I was right. You have grown up quite a bit even though you act more childish now," Dumbledore said.

Orion just nodded, the usual nonchalant attitude was long gone and now he looked serious. 

"Well, it's not like I never thought about that. No matter how useful this ring is, it can also be a weapon in the wrong hands."

"So you won't bring that ring into the market right ?" Dumbledore was very troubled by this one thing. Currently, the magical Britain is holding on in a very delicate balance. 

While it seems like the light side won all those years ago that ain't the case. Voldemort is alive and not only Dumbledore but even those who are lurking in the darkness know this. 

They are just looking for a chance to get back in power.

"But I still refuse," Orion said with a calm face...
