136 Chapter 136 : Angry Hermione

Hermione Granger's eyes blazed with anger as she confronted Nick in the dimly lit corridor of Hogwarts. "What in the name of Merlin were you thinking, Nick?" she demanded, her voice sharp and resonant with frustration.

This happened just after Nick woke up, much before Orion did after the fight in the chamber of secrets. 

Nick before even grimacing at his loss and the loss of his elder wand, had to face a furious Hermione with her wand pointed at him. The very same girl who almost risk her life to save his own life from Orion.

Now that he looks back, he lost his life again back then. Once more he realized just how weak he was.

Nick, usually adorned with an air of nonchalance was not exactly what he portrayed himself all the time. This entire year he had worked hard to kill both Orion and Rose. But it was like the world itself was against him, none of his plan worked.

And now he found himself facing a torrent of Hermione's fury. "I did what was necessary," he began, already knowing that this would be a very difficult conversation to have. 

He didn't want this to happen like this but ultimately he failed. And now there was no way but to involve Hermione in his plan. Well he long decided to at least inject her with the memories but involving her in his plans, he never wanted.

"Necessary?" Hermione scoffed, her frustration boiling over. "You knocked me out, claimed I was taken to the Chamber of Secrets, and then tried to kill Orion and Rose! What kind of fucking necessity is that?"

Hermione didn't know why she even bothered to save Nick from Orion. The boy has not done anything but use her and told lies. He even used her to cause harm to both Rose, her best friend, and Orion the person she lik...

She purses her lips, maybe she knows why, becuase now for some reason, she is not feeling the same way towards Orion. She is not sure why but there is no longer that feeling.

Nick, unable to meet her gaze directly, shifted uncomfortably. "I won't lie, yes I want to kill Orion and Rose. I did what I had to do so that I could draw Orion to the chamber," he said, he wasn't lying and Hermione could say that by his face. But ...

Hermione's eyes narrowed, her disbelief transforming into indignation. "You are talking about killing my friends like it's about ordering a pizza. Are you mad?"

Nick sighed, realizing the gravity of his actions but he didn't have any other choice. And now that he has failed, he has to explain why he did what he did to Hermione. "I understand your anger, Hermione, but I have my reasons. Even you might have some idea by the memories I injected in you. Don't you see that among everything, those two are the ones who shouldn't exist."

Hermione stopped, she wasn't sure after all the new memories she had in her mind were strange. It was hers but not from this place. They were the memories of a different Hermione. 

But all of that right now was engulfed by her Anger. She felt betrayed. She felt that she herself betrayed Orion, she was no idiot, she saw his look. Orion might be showing the same look as she right now has, when facing Nick.

Hermione's frustration erupted into a shout. "FUCK YOU? I dont want to look at your face again, If Orion and Rose had died!... You better stay away from them or I." Hermione shouted as her wand was still pointing at Nick.

Nick did do anything besides wince at the intensity of Hermione's rebuke. "I have a reason, please give me a chance to explain Hermione. You too know that this is much more than just you and me. I know you have seen that memory. Please just listen to me once" he, if there is one thing he can't have or he doesn't want to have is Hermione to turn against him. 

He can handle eveything else but not that. His face took a helpless expression. 

Hermione took a step closer, her anger was high but she still wanted to listen to Nick. She is unsure why exactly but the same memories which made her protect Nick back then with such ferocity is making her soft again, this bastard. Once again she hated it, but her heart didn't let her move from Nick and just walk away.

"You better have a good reason, becuase If not then I will personally hand you over to the auror's. You have used enough dark magic that they will be directly sending you to Azkaban."

While talking he never removed his eye contact with her. "I will answer all your questions Hermione but before that, I need to ask you. Even after having all of your Memories from another time, can't you say what I'm doing? 

I might have a different name right now but I am the same person as before. You even said my name back then. 

Can't you remember what happened ?" Nick said as he looked at Hermione shaking his eyes. He knew that his words were working.

Hermione crossed her arms, her frustration lingering. But in her heart she started to shake, all those memories which belonged to another her. And "No, I don't want to hear anything more from you right, I am very close to sending you right in St Mungo's. You wanted me to listen, fine tomorrow in the library. Tell me what you want to." Hermione said.

Even she knew that no reason should be enough to accept Nick trying to kill her friends. But this feeling she had couldn't be hidden anymore.

Nick watched as Hermione stormed away, her footsteps echoing in the empty corridor. The weight of her words lingered.

"Well, that could have gone much worse," Nick exclaims as he sighs and shooked his head.
