Mapping the next step

Victoria had found some sort of map thing in the underground place of the house. It looked familiar and she could tell some places from others. She was studying it while sitting at the table as Diana was lecturing the sandy wolf, now also in human form as she checked out his leg. They were all wearing clothes, though his looked a bit small for him.

Even as a human he was a big man, easily towering the both of them.

Victoria didn't let that intimidate her.

"Okay so I believe my pack is here," Victoria said and Diana moved over to look at the map with her. Victoria did her best to use the long thin thing that made marks but her hand felt stupid, so she opted to use some of wet paint thing she found along with it. It reminded her of the stuff they would make to paint pictures on the cave walls.

She used her finger that she dipped into the black paint to make a thin circle around the mountain area she called home.

"And from what Truce said, his old pack was here," she said and circled another part of the map.

"It's Bruce," the man said with a pout.

"The only place I haven't been and was never allowed to go was here," she said and sectioned off a large part of the map.

Bruce poked his head in and looked at the map before nodding. He dipped his pinky finger into the paint and circled a section that looked like it could be a clearing.

"That should be where we should start looking, I remember something about a big area of trees, no streams so no pack really settled there," he explained.

"Alright then, we will head there in about two days when the mandatory wait is over," Victoria said as she stood up.

"Shouldn't we wait an extra day? Get time to check who else is alive and things?" Bruce asked with a tilt of his head.

"I suppose, and we would need to make sure we will be fed and hydrated while going," Victoria hummed as she thought things over.

"There are these things in the under house that you can put things in, some already have stuff in them like water and food," Diana said as she perked. Victoria smiled at her mate and nuzzled her nose to hers. It was a little odd in human form.

Diana giggled and smiled brightly. Victoria felt blessed to have her after all these years and the possibility of having pups with her was just making her feel all kinds of emotions.

"So where exactly were you two when we got attacked?' Bruce asked as he sat back on the chair.

"I was singing by the stream," Diana said sheepishly as she blushed.

"And I was blessed with hearing her, she was singing something along the lines of," Victoria said as she went into thought wanting to get the words right.

Diana blushed deeply as she remembered exactly what she was singing and who she was singing it about. Her heart leapt into her throat as Victoria started with almost like she did, she didn't howl at the start but she did have an incredible singing voice.

"Oh, her eyes, her eyes, make the stars look like they're not shining

Her hair, her hair, falls perfectly without her trying

She's so beautiful, and I tell her every day," Victoria sang and Diana couldn't help but take over, knowing the alpha didn't know the song fully.

Victoria looked at Anan with so much love and admiration as she sang the song. It was beautiful and romantic. She just wanted to kiss her and hug her and cuddle her. Diana seemed to really get into the song as she gave it her all. She really had a good singing voice and from what Victoria could remember from her howl, she was breathtaking.

"When I see your face, there's not a thing that I would change

Cause you're amazing, just the way you are

And when you smile, the whole world stops and stares for a while

Cause girl you're amazing, just the way you are. Yeah."

As soon as Diana ended the song Victoria hugged her tightly and kissed her. It was their first real kiss and honestly being in human form made it feel so much more intimate, yet she still found it silly. She was starting to like being human.

"Ok wow, you two need to get a den," Bruce said, making them break their kiss and both blushed.

"Technically you are in our den so," Victoria trailed off. She watched as he looked to the nest behind them before he blushed and stood.

"Right, I'm in your space! Well I'm beat, I'm going to go take a nap, over…there," he said and hurried to one of the other rooms in the cabin. Diana giggled and nuzzled into Victoria.

"We should get some rest too," she said softly and Victoria didn't need to be asked twice.

They undressed and shifted back into their wolf forms before snuggling up in their nest. The white wolf took her time in grooming her copper mate. She was surprised she had not shifted into her wolf form before they kissed. Seems like she was getting a better handful on her human form while high on her emotions.

Diana hummed and enjoyed the attention Victoria was giving her. She hasn't been groomed this much since she was a pup and she was living for it. She tried her best to groom Victoria back but the white wolf's fur turned out to be much thicker than hers so her tongue got a little stuck on a particularly long part of fur.

"Silly wolf you don't have to," Victoria cooed as she nuzzled the now blepping wolf under her.

"But I want to!" Diana whined, her thumping tail giving her fake whine away.

"Well then we can work on it when my fur isn't so thick right now," Victoria chuckled before giving the Omega a strong lick over her forehead.

"I'll hold you to that," Diana giggled before settling in.

"Time for all pups to get their rest," Victoria said softly before yawning, showing her own tiredness. They settled in and drifted off to sleep. Victoria did feel a little safer knowing they had one more wolf with them.
