"PIERCE!! HELPP!!! HEEEELPPP"

---

***How'd we get here huh? Must be what you're all wondering. Well, let me tell ya!

So~ It started with theses two men trying to scout out the village! On their way however, they saw those creepy puppets that didn't even react to being cut in half, instead it only smiled and disappeared!

Creepy!!

Yet, all according to the plan so far! Now, I want you all to remember that Camellia's illusion flame eats up at... well the food inside her body. Not only that however, she has a max range!

Hence why she has Zeph carrying her around in a mobile grocery store even though he's become a big part of the plan!

Big part of the plan you ask? Yup! Though I can't say too much because author-kun is already keeping me on a tight leash. Let's just hope his acting is good and his fighting is even better!

*clop clop clop*

With their horses now running at twice the speed, the two men can be seen gritting their teeth with urgency to get to the village. After standing sunned from the previous horror movie scene, they now can think of nothing but outrunning the eyes that peak at them through the forest's tree line.

On a trail that seems to never end, the men can only see the painted eyes follow them, momentarily disappearing, only to stalk them once again from a different angle.

'Dammit, the... the eyes! Those damn ghosts are just stalking us! All 3 of them-'

"Pierce!"

"I know! I'm see them too, just run!"

"PIERCE! Were there always 3 of them?!"

"3..?"

Time halts as the brute starts to slow his horse, looking all around for the first time. Breaking the tunnel vision of fear their first encounter forced upon them.

one... two? three-... five.....

Fully stopping in his tracks as he stares motionless at the foliage above him. Nature so dense it blocks out the mid-day sun, cursing the land that nurtured it to live solely into pure darkness.

"P- Pierce?! Why'd you stop?! We ha...ve to..."

Trying to abruptly stop after seeing his teammate suddenly slow, he made possibly the worst decision of his life, and followed his gaze. Where you'd expect to see a sunny, maybe even cloudy sky, or maybe because of how dark it is, maybe a starry sky filled with moonlight... Now was filled with eyes that gleamed down.

*CLICkLICKLICK*

As if the entity noticed it's prey's gaze fixate on it, it suddenly started to click and clack, as eyes grew from all sides of the forest that surrounded them. Causing the scout to look down in dread and fear before realizing there is no longer a dirt road below his horse's hooves.

'Wait, we aren't on the path anymore?! When...'

The clacking sounds suddenly stopped. It was as if they were watching a live performance play out in front of them, where their gazes all suddenly shift in front of the men.

"Hey now... Trist, this isn't in my pay grade..."

In front of them stood a large man, rivaling... Nono, bigger than the Elves of the village. His shoulders spewed flames like the dragons of legends, it's mouth, shaped like a demons, yet made entirely of the cursed fire, the eyes, like a spider's. Strange shapes that were mixed and matched, made no sense as to the shape of the head, yet painted like porcelain, its eyes stared.

It held a large axe. The blade seemed too sharp to be possible in some parts, yet like the dullest object in existence on other parts. It's pure black colour matched nothing but the dead air around them.

The air. The land at their feet, the wind and clattering, the popping and cracking. All sounds died, and merged to the sound of flames that clad the figure looking down at them.

"Heheheha!"

'Behind?!'

After what seemed like an eternity, the silence was broken by the sound of a giggling girl, which skipped behind them. With her back turned, showing only her cute black dress made of flames, which seemed to flow beautifully and elegantly along the breeze, mimicking the Northern lights of earth.

'A... girl..?'

"H- Hey Girl! It isn't safe here!"

Following the little girl's figure, Pierce was drawn in by the pure bliss that was silence which her aura gave off. Silence and calmness. The only escape from this hell hole he was dragged into.

"H- hey Trist!"

Pierce fails to see the girl, yet notices his scouting partner run away with a crazed, disassociated look in his eyes. It wouldn't have shocked Pierce any more if he had seen foam at his mouth.

Attempting to chase after his friend, the Knight-like figure which stood in front of him before, seemed to appear once again before his eyes, blocking his path completely... as the chattering starts once again.

*CLICKcLACKALKClAkCLACK*

"Sh- shit..."

The fighter, without knowing it. Has entered the trap known by its creator and allies as;

The Colosseum of Nightmares.

---

--

'Dammit! Where did she go?!'

"M- Miss?! Where are you!?"

*Crack*

Turning towards the sound, he can once again see the girl's back, her hair covering the side of her face, before she dashes behind a tree, disappearing from his vision.

"M- MISS!"

Once again following the mysterious girl, he finds himself back on the path he had originally started on. He sits there for a few seconds in awe, before noticing the gate of the village to his right, his original destination, now in sight.

As his horse starts sprinting towards it at full speed, it suddenly stops again, kicks him off and runs in the other direction.

"Wh- what?!"

*Click*

Turning in front of him, he sees the little girl playing with the figure from before. The one Pierce had cut in half.

"G- get away from that!"

Hearing his voice echo, the girl finally turns towards him, showing her mask-like face, with eyes like the rest, the eyes that seem to stare into your soul for hours on end just from a glance.

"Y- you..."

*Clop clop clop clop*

With tears forming under his eyes, the sound of his horse can be heard running back towards him from behind. As he stands up, eyes devoid of life, he grabs his horse. Only to see what it was running from was the nightmare knight being led by the other creature from before, the one that hadn't been cut.

'There's blood on its... axe...'

*tap tap tap tap*

Hair passing past him from his peripheral vision, the little girl ran towards the knight, followed by the other creature, only to jump into the knights arms.

'Just what is...'

*CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK*

With the sound of a gate opening up behind him, he quickly turned to salvation, thinking the village was now the only safe place in the forest.

'Please! Please! For once in all of your miserable lives! Be useful to us!'

Finally stepping foot inside of the village, he turned to see his horse, as well as the knight, child, and creatures had disappeared.

*PAF*

The gate closes before his eyes, creating comfortable solitude within his heart. Yet, his soul could do anything but calm. Instincts ravaging his insides as it starts once again, this time echoing throughout the village.

*CLICK CLACK CLACK CLACK*

'May the Gods have mercy on my soul.'

"Your Highness, we've been informed of a disturbance within the city."

"I see."

In a large hall, with marble pillars lining either side of the pathway, a red carpet laced with golden yellow and vibrant green ran along through the center. Guards spread along either side, standing on bricks white and clear like the clouds.

A man sat kneeled half way to the end of the carpet, where a few steps lead to a large throne, where a man lazily sat draped in a cloak, scepter leaning against the seat.

"Class and danger?"

"Right your Highness;

The class is non aggressive, danger level nearing catastrophe sir."

"Oh~? A Human?"

"Yes your Highness. A man with striking eyes and blue hair."

"Haha, I see! Go recruit him along with some men. Offer him riches and a meeting with yours truly."

"Yes your highness, right away!"

As the young man started to stand up, he bowed once again, peaking up at the king through the edge of his Robin-hood-like hunting hat, as he asked one more question with a gulp as a drop of sweat drips down his temple.

"And- And what shall we do, Gods forbid, he refuses the council with his highness?"

Suddenly, the air grows cold, stiff and rigid, as the guards all grow restless with their hands on their hilts.

"You think he should refuse me?"

"N- Sorry your Highness, that I must have worded it wrong I apologize! I wasn't meaning to question your authority! It's just that he's an odd individual! Very strange and he doesn't quite seem to grasp how things work around here!-"

"Stop."

Grabbing his hat off his head, and crunching it up against his chest, the young man closed his eyes as hard as he could, almost dropping to his knees as his heart thumps and thumps around in fear.

"If he refuses, kill him."

"Y- Yes your Highness!"

"Then kill yourself as well, for not being able to be of service. That is all, leave my presence."

Yo!

Sorry, was thinking of a flute weapon isekai

Mmmm~ Banana coconut slush~~

*AHEM* Where was I~?

Ah Right! What will happen to our new enemy now that he's finally inside the gates?! What has he seen to make him so worried? And where did the knight and girl go?!
