27 A Gift

Mai and Han Bing got back into the carriage and went in the direction of the place that the servant had told them about. The drive took about 20 minutes as they went down dirt roads to their destination.

Once they arrived, Mai immediately went to go look at the cow, ignoring everything else including the sales person. Han Bing just laughed at her behavior and followed her to the corral where the cow was being held.

Mai's face fell as she looked at the cow. This was clearly a male cow and would in no way provide milk. Mai was so excited when she thought about all the kind of things she could make with milk that she had completely forgotten that she didn't just need a cow, but one that had just recently given birth to produce the milk.

Mai gave an incredibly sad face to

Han Bing as if she had been wronged and was now heart broken.

"I may have forgotten that it needs

to be a cow that can actually produce milk" Mai said while sulking.

Han Bing on the other hand had

actually remembered that detail when he had gotten his servants to search for

the cow and was now confused.

"Dear customer, that is not the cow that is on hold for you." The sales person came over quickly when they sensed the sour mood that was starting to form.

"Oh, why don't you show us the proper cow then." Han Bing said to the sales person.

Mai visibly got excited again as if all her problems had disappeared. Han Bing was having fun watching the amount her face lit up when she was excited about something. He couldn't wait for

later when it was his turn and what type of face she would be making then. Just

thinking about that put Han Bing into an excellent mood.

"This way dear customers" the sales person said while bringing them down a corridor towards another corral.

"Beautiful" Mai said as soon as she saw the cow standing there off to the side biting down on the grass.

There was nothing special about this cow, it looked very similar to every other cow

that you would see on the side of the road.

"Ha-ha" Han Bing let out a chuckle as he was jealous that the cow was getting more attention than he was from Mai. "Why can't she compliment me like that" Han Bing thought to himself. After slightly sulking to the side for a bit he talked to the sales person.

After purchasing the cow, they returned to the manor.

"Zheng Li, where is that sister of yours?" Han Bing asked Zheng Li when they returned.

"I believe that she is at that place. Why do you ask?" Zheng Li asked in confusion.

"I believe that we just purchased something that she would like… Mai picked it out." Han

Bing replied.

"Young master, you know she's not like other girls, right?" Zheng Li asked even more

confused than before. Never had someone gone out of their way to get anything

for his sister after she had turned everything ladylike down in disgust.

"Yeah I know she's a little on the odd side" Han Bing replied. "But she will like

this … trust me" Han Bing said with a smile.

"Is Mai coming too?" Zheng Li asked while he glanced at her in the distance.

"Mmm" Han Bing replied.

"Alright, let's go." Zheng Li said guiding them towards where his sister's places.

When Zheng Li saw Mai leading a giant animal along with her, he couldn't help but choke in

surprise. "seriously" he thought "you guys brought her another animal and this

one is huge compared to her pigs. Why do you guys encourage her!?!" Zheng Li couldn't

help but think that his sister was never going to get married with her current

behavior.

"What is this cow for, it's not for Zheng Lin is it?" Zheng Li asked starting to get depressed on

the way over.

"Yes, it's for milk so I can make desserts." Mai replied with.

"You're going to let her watch over this cow, so you can make desserts?" was all Zheng Li Could say. He felt as though he was going to have a heart attack from the mere thought of giving his sister a cow. He looked over at Han Bing and gave a how could you look.

While Zheng Li was crying on the inside they had arrived at the part of the manor that his sister stayed in. Her hobby of caring for animals had caused her to move into one of the larger empty courtyards to have more privacy.

In the courtyard there was wide open spaces for the pigs to run across and enjoy the

outdoors as much as possible. This is where Mulan brothers and sisters were, currently playing with a small girl.

She

was laying in the middle of the grass, with pigs on either side of her clamoring

for her attention.

" Zheng Lin, Han Bing brought something for you, come here." Zheng Li shouted out.

Zheng Lin instantaneously looked at her brother, pushing off the little pigs that were surrounding her, and got up. You could tell by her face that she was very confused about what

was going on.

"yes, young master?" Zheng Lin asked meekly with a blush on her cheeks. Even if she was a

rather shy odd girl that was still young she couldn't help but find Han Bing

different from all the other males. Instead of making fun of her hobbies he had

let her use this courtyard instead. Her heart held a small crush on him.

"We brought you something to take care of, little Lin" Han Bing said gently not trying to

scare her with their unexpected appearance.

"Ohhh, for me?" Zheng Lin asked cutely.

"mm, look it is a cow, to go right along with your little pigs." Han Bing gestured

over towards Mai that was leading the cow around.

"Oh, and that is its current trainer she must be sad to be giving up something so

cute. Thank you so much Han Bing" Zheng lin said while attempting to give him a huge.

"cough, that is not a trainer, her name is Mai" Zheng Li said while hitting his sister on the head.

If you looked closely you could see that Mai had gone motionless.
