17 Is he not a foolish person then?

(Multiple pov)

Au Fuji entered his home, waiting for him was not his father but the stepmother and her daughter, along with the concubine and her son.

The servants also stood to the side while the stepmother looked at him with tearful eyes.

Au Fuji sneered inwardly, looking at this woman who performed better than a first-tier actress.

"My son! You have suffered! How are you? Are you injured?" while she fretted he simply stood there rigidly trying his best not to kick her far away.

As a legal born son to the Au family and remaining blood relative of the Kai family, Au Fuji knew propierty; his young face and form were silent, dignified with the air of a young master both older and wiser than his six years.

Madam Au inwardly cursed this little bastard spawn, she had schemed so well this time but it had failed, she had once again failed!

Why would this boy not die?

Why is it that he must continue to stand in her way?

Her eldest son is loved by his father and cared for by the Au family and already seen as the heir, but because of this eyesore for a child, her son must always be one step away.

She can only inwardly hate!

While she cursed the legal born heir and schemed in her mind of various ways to kill this little bastard, the concubine to the side stared at the young master evaluating him silently.

Unlike the second wife who wanted to get rid of this son, this concubine Patricia simply stood there and knew her place.

She had never had any stray thoughts and never allowed her small son to also have.

The Au family is a big family, the master is seen as her husband but she knew she is merely someone to warm his beat and the son of hers there to be a filler and if possible serve his brother.

She had no desire for her son to be seen as a filler only but to serve the heir, one must know that serving the heir at his side is more beneficial than even being the heir.

What glory? Only a burden.

What honour? Only serving one extended family in all things.

The heir can have that, her son can simply serve on the side and live well, even if it is below two--brother and his future wife and the children to come, it is OK, because he will then have opportunities to have a future.

One must always know the weakness of a man is his woman and that of a woman is her children.

"This third young master is fine. This third young master only wishes to shower, and after see father."

"Ah, third young master, your father... He is at work."

Au Fuji did not show disappointment but merely replied with an "En," soon after he then nodded to the madam and left heading to his room.

Inside his room he looked around, using his power which had rose another rank once again and destroyed everything that should not be there.

He sneered, that woman would go to all lengths for that useless son of hers.

He has to say though, his mother is a foolish woman, allowing such a traitorous woman to enter her home.

Concubines can be understood, this is a society where humans are less than half of what they were on earth with the natural birthrate lowered.

still, to sacrifice everything for a malicious person and a man who saw you as nothing! heh!

Au Fuji vowed to himself, his wife will never suffer his children, will never feel what he felt.

giving up legal born sons for a bastard...Au Fuji could only feel enraged by this.

"Young Master, the young miss is resting well."

Au Fuji calmed upon hearing these words, she is after all the one who had given him a new life.

"En, send me a photo."

there was a long pause on the other end, young master Au Fuji suddenly felt that this servant should be disposed of and started at the wristband a long time but she suddenly answered.

"Young master, forgive this servant, I have taken the photo and have sent it to your wristband."

Young master Au Fuji relaxed once again upon hearing this thinking that this servant should be spared and her pay raised.

"En, your pay shall be raised by five percent, please treat your mistress well."

"Yes, young master Au,"

hanging up he closed his eyes and slumbered.

regardless of what that woman wanted to do, he would counter and that father who doted on concubine born sons only elevated after marriage, hehe, he will deal with both him and them in order.

The Au family may be nobles now with decent wealth, but how was it accumulated?

His mother's dowry still has yet to be retrieved so he can pass it on to his future wife!

To allow these people to continue using it as they wish, is he not a foolish person then?

within the confines of the rooms located on the second floor was the second wife.

she wore, a long silk sleeping dress with outer robes, her long hair was braided into a single long braid falling to the middle of her back.

she comm the eldest son after carefully presenting herself as a benevolent mother and said in a weak voice.

"Young brother is back, Feyann-Yu, you need to hurry and return before your father arrives."

The boy in the other end is right years old, his future is similar to the patriarch's but leaned more on his mother's like his younger brother and father, his personality is cold.

He only cared about the place as the eldest legal born son and with it so close he had felt relieved knowing that his father would truly look and care for him but, with that younger legal born son returning whole.

Au Feyann clenched his fist while eying his mother's beautiful face on the other side of the wristband, then looked away hiding his sneer.

Was all this for him? or for her?

With this mother, he can never know.

While the son thought like this, the mother thought different.

She wanted her son to be the only one worthy to take the place of a legal son.

Of course, as the legal wife, this became automatic but those few would never allow her to forget that he was borne from a concubine and only had his status elevated a few years later.

A few had been convinced from within the Au clan, except a few key figures who only saw her as merely a servant even though she is the second wife.

She frowned slightly while speaking to her son about trivial matters, her mind drifted to the fact that they only saw her as a servant who stepped up from her place to play master.

"Son, mother only called to inform you. Perhaps you can have a day off to return home quickly?"

"Mother, if father has his mind made up, me returning home just for one day, that is, if I am allowed to, it will make no difference."

Madam Au stared at this son of hers feeling stunned but recovered quickly and nodded absentmindedly.

"En son, you are correct. Have a good eve and rest well."

"Same to mother,"

Hanging up, the madam Au struggled to control herself, rising slowly in an elegant manner to look in on her daughter.

only the daughters knew how difficult it was to become pregnant with this child, and to birth the only girl in the family, she felt accomplished.
