Chapter 5.5 - Jewel's Sharp Tongue Prt2

Lavor wanted to laugh at the scene that is happening in front of him but he keeps it in. He really didn't want to be rude as a guest.

He can tell how close this family is, by the way they're acting and he was a bit envious of how close this family is to each other. They looked so warm to watch.

How to say this, his family is, a bit cold.

His father and mother were not always home. His mother and father only have an arranged marriage that's why the two don't really get along with each other. Even though the two manage to form a child but there is actually no love involved between them.

It even comes to the point where his father forms a different family outside. Leaving his wife and child to be with the girl he loves. When his mother found out about it, she felt it was so shameful that it made her so angry, because of it she made sure his father's deemed to be mistress, forced to leave the country.

He's an only child and grows up far away from the two. It's not like he grows up in a different place, it's just that his parents are always not at home. The only one who looks after him when he was young was his grandparents on his father's side.

Although his grandmother and grandfather are there for him, he sometimes hopes his father and mother would also look at him. He always did his best at school. Be it good at sports or good in academics, he's always on top but it's always not enough for his parents.

When his grandmother died, his grandfather is the only person left for him.

His grandparents on his mother's side seem to not really care about him.

Then he chose to be a celebrity and was successful but instead of making his father proud, his father was even angry because of it, saying he send him to school for nothing. And because his father was angry, his mother also got angry.

Feeling disappointed that his hard works were always not enough.

Now, he just decided to do whatever he wanted to do. As if becoming rebellious, he stopped caring about what his mother or father will think of him.

*knock**knock*

Lavor wakes up from the knocking sound in front of him. When he looked in front of him, he realized that it was actually Jewel who was knocking on the table earlier. He didn't notice that he dazed for a bit there while remembering his past and situations.

"Are you okay?" Jewel asked Lavor, not for caring about what he felt.

She just wants to wake up the person in his dazed moment. He's the only one left eating and if it wasn't rude to leave this person, she would have left the person already, she is tired from work and now she still has to wait for this person. But as her mother said, he is a guest and that it is rude to just leave your guest eating alone.

Lavor nodded but noticed that it's actually only the two of them left.

"Where are they?" He asked looking left and right trying to find Jenny and June.

"They're already done eating a while ago, I was only waiting for you to finish. My brother still has work tomorrow so he needs to sleep early. My mother, she's either watching tv or in her room."

The family of three already finished eating earlier. And they have decided to let Jewel wait for Lavor. At first, it was June who wanted to wait for Lavor but Jewel was against it. Her brother still has work tomorrow and he needed to rest.

So it was decided to let Jewel wait for him since it's also her day off tomorrow, although the two are a bit hesitant at first, but Jewel assured them that she would make sure to control her mouth. That they are just overreacting.

" Oh, right. I forgot to ask you. What's your name?" Jewel remember to ask Lavor.

"Oh, sorry, I forgot to introduce myself earlier. I'm Lavor Fen from country S. I'm 23 years old and single. Are you interested?" Lavor said while looking at Jewel flirtatiously, moving his eyebrows, up and down and a smile that could make people pregnant (as what his fans said).

Lavor decided to tease Jewel. But he didn't expect Jewel's answer, the girl didn't even blush and just answered directly as if she didn't even think about it.

"No." was Jewel's answer.

Jewel didn't blush and even started to frown on her forehead.

She was thinking that the name was a bit familiar. Maybe she heard that name before? But where?

"Why? I'm handsome you know?" Lavor said while holding his chin as if he's thinking about something serious, looking handsome.

He thought about acting shamelessly, thinking that this girl is different from the girls he used to know.

Jewel wanted to pinch this person's face really hard. She is now starting to wonder how thick this persons' face.

"Your handsome and then what? Can it be eaten?" Jewel also asked back.

Lavor already heard a lot about Jewel from Jenny( Jewel's mother) earlier. He heard about how sharp and direct are her words but he didn't expect it could be in this way too.

Lavor wasn't able to talk back immediately because of Jewel's question.

"I'm rich too." In the end, Lavor answered like this without thinking. But Lavor didn't expect it would manage to shut Jewel too.

Of course, if you're rich, you have a lot of money, and when you have the money you can buy food. Of course, if there is food then there's something to eat.

Lavor thought that he managed to win this time on Jewel but he didn't expect that the girl still has one last say.

"Then what of it? Are you flaunting your wealth?" Jewel answered.

What if he's rich, it's not like she's going to be rich just because he's rich.

Lavor also didn't expect Jewel's answer this time.

He really can't predict this girl's mouth.

Jewel stand up just after she finished stating those sentences. She then cleans the table. She stopped waiting for the person and just take all the plates in the table to wash them, including Lavor's plate.

Lavor could only helplessly watched his plate that still has food left to be taken away.
