82 A Blessing And A Curse

''So having sex gives exp, huh,'' I murmured looking at my new level. Just a little more, and I'll be level 10.

''Of course it gives exp. It's a tough physical activity, after all,'' said the fox.

Ignoring my erect nipples under the chain armor, I laced my boot. Unlike gloves, the armor had no leather reinforcement and didn't hide the skin when nothing was worn under it. The jagged armor and my overly sensitive sense of touch tortured my skin with the weight I felt on my nipples. I wasn't that if I removed the armor now I'd be able to wear something again soon, so I kept getting dressed.

''You can stay here,'' said Hermes.

''I'm grateful for the offer, but I have to go.'' I was afraid that if I stayed, and if Hermes keep seeming he has no intent on dressing at all, I'd not be able to hold back and harm him or myself.

When I leaned too fast on the floor to grab my shirt, my breasts shook back and forth and my womb tightened, making it clear that it wanted more. To be honest, this wasn't what I expected when I heard that my body will evolve into another breed. The differences were becoming more noticeable with each level up.

''If it makes you feel better, I can say that you make people feel that way, or even worse,'' said the fox.

''Will it always be like this, getting worse when I leveled?''

The image of the fox in my mind put its head on its paw, ''I guess you learn to cope eventually.''

I gathered my clothes scattered around the room and turned to Hermes to say goodbye, but before I could open my mouth, someone opened the door without knocking. I didn't hear or see the door open, I felt the air moving in the room through the gaps on the chain armor.

''I've been looking for you everywhere, Hermes.'' The owner of the voice paused, ''Ma'am, I didn't know you were here.''

I turned and met Galen's face. Now that I know they are brothers, his similarities with Hermes were everywhere. I'd say he's tall like Hermes if he wasn't hunched over because of his wooden leg. His shoulders were wide, it seems like Hermes was nicely built not because of practicing archery, but because of his lucky genes. Ignoring the wrinkles, I could see the similarity in the facial features.

Galen's gaze alternated between me and Hermes. ''Whatever. You saved me from extra work. These are for you.''

Galen waved his hand, holding two envelopes. Hermes went to the door and took the envelopes. He was wearing nothing but underwear, but he didn't look embarrassed. I was feeling puzzled more than anything else. It was the first time I had experienced being busted by the family of someone I just had sex with.

Since the situation was uncomfortable for Galen too, I thought he'd leave without saying another word, but he looked at me and shook his head. ''You are giving away everything you have saved in your life, Hermes.''

I didn't understand what he meant, but Hermes apparently did. ''What would I do? Maybe I'd wear another armor under my armor.''

It was a relief to learn that the argument was about the armor, not me. The last thing I wanted was to stay in the middle of a family drama. Galen sighed and left, quietly closing the door as he opened it. I wondered what Galen was doing requiring him to learn to be so quiet before he got injured.

''Is this armor that valuable, making Galen showing his emotions about something? I don't think I've seen he does this before.''

Hermes brushed his hair with his hand and sighed. ''A treasure in a treasure chest has no use to anyone, no matter how valuable it is, right?''

''I thought you said you don't philosophize things.''

He gave me a smile that made my insides, somewhere between my legs feel warm and wet. Oh my, since when did smiles have such powers? ''It's a secret hobby. Don't tell anyone. Now,'' said Hermes and opened one of the envelopes, handed the other to me, ''Let's open and see if they are the same.''

The fact that he gave me the envelope that came to me instead of opening it himself made his place in my eyes a little higher. Respect for personal space, my dears, is important. I opened the envelope and read the card inside it. It was almost the same as the invitation I had read before, except for the date.

After Hermes has done with reading, he handed me his own card. After a quick glance, ''They are the same,'' I said.

Hermes looked up, into the void. ''You say I won't be able to take you to dinner tomorrow either? My sweet goddess, are you jealous?''

I couldn't help smiling.
