nephilim oh God nephilim
first up of our list is nephilims and oh God did nephilims change through anime TV shows or in our case Lucifer and supernatural.
so the nephilims originated from the Hebrew Bible and trust me they were nothing like the ones you see in the TV show Lucifer or supernatural.
in the Bible nephilims are described as Giants born from an angel procreating with a human women.
the watchers were a group of angels that went against God and took the mortal womens as their wives.
then after (having you know) what the woman was pregnant and gave birth to the nephilims.
when God saw these abominations God was so angry that he flooded the entire Earth killing off those unholy creatures.
but if you go to other sourced material in the Bible like The testament of Solomon there are actually references to the nephilims.
and in The testament of Solomon.
Solomon encountered a creature that closely resembled a nephilim but it is still unknown if the creature who was stated to be the last nephilim is actually a nephilim.
and in the adventure of Moses.
Moses spies actually encountered giant creatures that were nephilims.
it seemed even after God flooded the Earth and killed most of the nephilims some of them managed to survive through unknown means.
either that or the fallen Angels or watchers yet again did the same thing and procreated with the woman creating new generations of nephilims
oh just to clear your curiosity yes God did punish these watchers for there unholy act and threw them in hell and chaining them in hell waiting for the apocalyptic day of the end of the world.
oh and one more thing I thought I might add nephilims do not have wings they're bound to the Earth just like humans and even when they die and become spirits they're still bound to the Earth.
as evil spirit's.
oh and as for where in the Bible did the nephilims were mentioned it was in The book of Enoch.
it also explains how the nephilims were sent into instinction.
even Jesus mentions the nephilims calling them tainted spirits.
one more thing to clear up these watchers were sometimes called the sons of God and it is actually unknown if they were or not Angels but after a while of Bible nerds came up together they came with the logical solution that these 'sons of God' were angels.

[TV show Lucifer interpretation of nephilims]
{A/N just thought I might say I didn't fully watch Lucifer so I am just going to bring out what I know about the nephilims from Lucifer and speak my heart out on the differences}
in the TV show Lucifer nephilims are completely different from the original source material.
for one nephilims have wings and you're not the Giants that were in the Bible that would stumble across villages or cities destroying that entire village or City and eating all of the inhabitants would in that City or village.
the nephilims from Lucifer had one similarity when the nephilims die they would become spirits and that's where the similarities end.
instead of becoming evil spirits like they are described in The book of Enoch they would become celestial spirit and have the ability to once again manifest a physical form in the world.
in The book of Enoch this was not possible for the nephilims to do as if this actually was cannon in the Bible then these nephilims or fallen ones.
would have the ability to manifest themselves into the world after their destruction at the hands of archangel Gabriel or their own hands for that matter.
the nephilims in Lucifer also don't immediately have their power upon their birth and will only gain their power after their body matures.
which I might add is a pretty smart idea as if a Giant baby suddenly gain random supernatural powers and start causing chaos in whatever City the mother gave birth then would be a pretty terrifying thing if it actually existed in Lucifer.
in the TV show Lucifer on Netflix are also seem to be immortal not being able to die of old age like normal humans can but just like humans they can be killed true normal means like being shot or a car running over them or just simply getting beaten to death.
it also shows one things that is kind of similar to the Bible these nephilims and Lucifer possess some human weaknesses.
these nephilims in Lucifer also seems to get some of their parents celestial Powers and the mothers of these nephilims actually survive the birth of these nephilims.

{supernaturals interpretation of nephilims}
in supernatural only two nephilims we're introduced in the show and that was Jack and Jane.
just like Lucifer.
supernatural nephilims have wings but it is not shown through the series when Jack or Castiel is flying the sound of a Angel's Wing being flapped could be heard.
suggesting that nephilims have wings just like angels.
but I'm not going to completely low ball supernatural like I did to Lucifer I'm going to actually give them credit on how they interpreted Angels and demons.
in supernatural angels are shown to be bright glowing lights like a spirit but they can't take on a humanoid form if they want to.
and that is pretty good since in the Bible angels are described to be spirits they can take on a humanoid form but they are mainly glowing Gastly light that floats around.
it also shows in order for an angel like Castiel to manifest in the mortal world they have to possess a vessel otherwise they will just be Gastly glowing light flying around.
and as! for demons they are similar to Angels but unlike Angels they black Miss that floats around and similar to angels can take on a form but in order to do this they have to possess a vessel.
when an angel in supernatural use their powers their eyes glow white.
whereas the demon used their powers their eyes are completely black.
this feature that they added for Angels and demons show us the viewers that they are not like us humans but they are something completely different they are spirits.
anyway back to nephilims.
but they did one last thing that I thought was really cool but at the same time really dumb.
in supernatural an angel demon and nephilim can DIE.
and how did they do this exactly they use a weapon known as the angel blade that can kill a demon and Angel and even nephilims.
and where do they go after they die exactly well angels Don't go to heaven they go to the empty a place of nothingness !!!!! that apparently existed before God.
and why did I call this dumb here's why.
when a nephilim dies in The Bible they become a spirit.
just like their fathers the watchers and it explains this in the book of Enoch as to why they become spirits.
they apparently gained this spiritual form due to their fathers being angels but they became evil spirits because their fathers were evil.
and so the idea of what would happen if like say Jack was to die is dark there.
there is no I get to live on in the world as a spirit or I at least go to heaven it's just eternal emptiness.
