8 CHAPTER 8

It was almost 1:00 am in the morning, I had a nightmare about my dad and I couldn't seem to fall asleep after that.

I break down and cry by the thought of that incident and even though it was out of my control,I still feel responsible.

I switched the lights to my room on and grabbed my guitar. I was about to sing my dad's song when I heard a knock on the window.

"Aiden what are you doing here?"

" Shhh", he says and I step backward and give him some space to get in.

" I couldn't seem to fall asleep and saw the lights to your room were on so i thought i might give you a visit."

" Oh okay Aidy."

" What are you doing awake so late in the night? "

"I had a nightmare about my dad.", i say but it comes out as soft as a whisper.

"I'm so sorry Lara.",and just like that he pulls me into a warm bear hug.

"I was just about to sing a song that my dad really liked actually."

" Let me guess."Aiden says

"My only?"

" Yes that's the one. "

"I'd love to hear you sing it."

" Really? "

"Yes really Lara."

"Okay then."

I sit down on the floor and Aiden joins me. I started singing...

Listening to Lara's song was really something else the lyrics were so deep. Her voice was like it could soothe a broken soul or heal a broken heart. The song that Lara sang was special to me i didn't know the song but it explained the exact way i felt. I couldn't help but wonder if my dream about Lara and i being together would come true. Would she ever be mine?. Would she ever let me love her?Would she give me a chance?

"So how was it?",she asks me.

"Lara you have an amazing voice I must say and the lyrics to the song you sang are amazing."

" I'm glad you liked it."

Lara and I spoke for a little longer and I couldn't help but ask where she learnt to fight like that.

"My dad was a kick boxer actually so he kinda passed his skills to my brother and I."

"Oh i see."

"I should leave now its already 2 in the morning. I'll see you later Lara." "Bye Aidy."

I climbed out of Lara's window and headed back home I had less then 2 hours to get my shit together but it was worth it. I loved spending time with Lara and one thing was for sure I was in love with Lara Collins. I just wish i could get a clear answer on how she felt about me. I am scared though because i won't be able to handle the rejection if she doesn't. I have never felt like this for anyone before. She's different. In the most perfect way. She's special in a Lara kind of way and when i say that i mean that there is no better way. All I'm saying is that to me there is no girl more amazing than Lara Collins in this whole entire world.

It was 4:00 Am and i was leaving to pick up Lara with my Range Rover. Drake would come with his car in that way everyone would fit. I knock on her front door and a guy with real messed up hair opens the front door. "Hi you must be Shawn, I'm here to pick up Lara."

" Whatever mahn I just hope your not a dick my smallys been through alot."

" I promise I will take proper care of her. "

"You better, come inside. Lara will be down in a minute and Clowy too." "Clowys here?"

" Yeah."

That's when Lara came downstairs and she looked so beautiful. She was wearing a beige shorts with a plain white top and a timberland boot. She was so plain and simple and that's what made her stand out. Her simplicity was something I admired about her.

"Clowy what are you doing here? ",asks Lara

"Oh uhhh Lara I'll explain things to you later.",replies Clowy

" Am I missing something?", says Lara

" Okay you girls may save the chit chat for later for now can we hit the road please? ",says Aiden

Is that all I ask the girls just before shutting the trunk. Yes that's all they say and squeal in excitement, I see a difference in Lara she's starting to treat Clowy like her friend now. Well that's a start.

We meet up at the gas station with everyone else , Ray and Riley jump into our car. Ray and I sit in front and the girls at the back. We grab some road food and we hit the roads here we come Green Lake Resort!

This might be my chance to finally figure out what's going on in that beautiful mind of Lara's.

Maybe just maybe she will feel comfortable enough to tell me how she feels.

Shit,it feels as if my whole universe is revolving around the need for Lara to love me as much as I love her.

Anyways here's my chance to give her the time of her life...to teach her how to live again but most importantly,to love her until she learns to love herself. To see the beauty I see in her. I would give anything for her to see how amazing she is in my eyes.
