5 CHAPTER 5

Aiden P.O.V

Lara just left me standing there in the parking lot. I couldn't help but want to know her more.

I got into my Mustang and drove home. I walked upstairs to my room and that's when I heard a beautiful voice. It was like a broken soul trying to release some of the pain. It felt and it sounds that way as well. I looked across over to the Collin house. That's when I felt like I saw an angel. It was Lara, She sang so beautifully much better then I ever could. She looked like she was in alot of pain.

The lyrics of her song made me feel some kind of emotion in my heart. I wonder what has happened to her that made her feel this way. I want to be the one to take all the pain away, I want to see a genuine real smile on Lara Collins face and I want to be the reason for that smile.

What is wrong with you Aiden Parker she's just some random girl. Oh but she's not I argued with myself. I meant it when I said she was something else. She wasn't like other girls. Lara was mysterious, interesting and different. Behind that bitter attitude of hers there was an innocent girl who is just afraid to get hurt. I will show her that not everyone she meets will hurt her.

She was in pain and she was all alone. I need to go to her thats the least I could do. I walk out the front door to my house and head to Lara but that's when I see her get in her car and drive away.

I couldn't just let her go. Not in that state. So I decided to follow her. She was heading to the cemetery? I watch her as she studies each gravestone. She stops at one that read Ethan Collins. Who was he? I watched as she sat down and cried her heart out. She lost her dad? Why did she blame herself for it? Who was Jacob? I had all these questions running through my mind.

"Woah,those are very deep words Lara... Are you okay?" she doesn't even lift her head up to look at me. So I take a seat next to her.

"I have a question for you Lara."

" What do you want Aiden?"

" If you were in a garden which rose would you pluk?"

"Seriously Aiden?"

" I have no time for your stupid questions leave me the fuck alone."

"I'm afraid I can not do that."

" So you gonna answer my question?"

She looks at me like she wants to stab me.

"The most beautiful one obviously."

"Just how you would pick the most beautiful rose knowing that if you pluk it, it would die. God does the same but just with us people this time. She gave me a small smile and put her head back down."

"Hay! Chin up baby love don't let that invisible crown slip."

" It's just that I feel like I'll never be happy again Aiden, it's like I'm stuck in one position in my life and I can't move. The thought of not being able to be happy or feel alive again scares me alot."

"So we can't let that happen princess."

" What do you mean? Who's we?"

" I can't say I understand what you going through because I don't but I can imagine and when I'm imagining it, it feels like the worst pain ever. I can't leave you to face it all alone."

"Yes you can Aidy it's my problems not yours. I hate everyone and everything so just stay away from me. I know you don't mean that Lara and it's cool you can swear me, hate me and tell me to leave but I'm not going anywhere."

"Come here." I say and pull her into a hug.She just stays still and doesn't move but I knew she needed it. After a minute or two I felt her hug me back and I rub my hand up and down her back telling her,"It will all be okay in the end. Squeeze as hard as you need to maybe it will help let go of some of the frustrations." Lara listens to my instruction and squeezes me as hard as she can. She lets go.

"Do you feel better?" I ask.

"Yes I do,well in a way,thanks Aidy."

"Glad I could help baby love. "

"We should head back home." she says awkwardly.

"Yeah you are right I guess."

So we both get into our cars and drive home. "Hey Lara wait."I say just before she walks into her house.

"Yes Aidy? "

"Do you have any homework? "

"Not today,why do you ask?"

"I thought we could maybe stop at Creamy Delights and get some ice-cream. "

"Uhhhm..."

"Come on I wanna know more about you. "

"Okay fine." she says and I do a quick victory dance.

"Only on one condition."

"What's that? "

"You will let me drive your Mustang."

" Well how could I ever say no...

here catch!"I throw the keys to her

"Let's go!"

"You know Aidy, I have never been to Creamy Delights or whatever it's called ."

" You have never lived then, they sell the world's best ice-cream and pancakes too."

"Okay then lets see how fast this baby can go. "

"Slow down!"

" Lara you are going to get us killed." "Are you sure you can handle so much speed?"

" Are you afraid to die Mr Parker?"

" Who isn't Lara?"

" A true racer is never afraid to go faster, you know why?"

"Why racer girl?"

"They are not afraid of death." "Whatever you say Lara."

" Don't worry I won't let you die."

" Woah damn girl! That was good. You are an awesome driver!"

"Oh am I now?"

" You're cute when you all bad and naughty."I wink at her.

"Well thanks she winks back."

We walk into the shop and choose a table. "Can i take your order?"a waiter asks us. "Wow there's just so much to choose from." says Lara and it's like I go into a trance watching her.

"Okay I'll have pancakes with nutella,vanilla ice-cream and chocalate sauce she says."

" What about you Mr Parker? "

"Same thank you Sherrily."

"Hmmm so the whole world knows you?"

"Well it's only because my parents own a few hotels all over the world." "Wow I didn't know you were that rich."

"Well it's my parent's money not mine,they work for it not me."

" I totally get what you're saying." Lara was hardly even bothered about my parent's money normally girls are into me and creeping up my ass because of my money or looks but Lara didn't care.

"These pancakes are really good" she says and she looks so beautiful and pretty and amazing. Basically she was everything good in this world. There's chocolate all over her lips and I couldn't help but stare at them. Fuck I wanted to kiss her so badly.
