3 Chapter 3 : Rocks For Skipping Are Best Flat

The man look at the childlike figure grabbing a hold of his leg. She had long, flowing black hair and a long dress, from her shoulders to her ankles, pink and blue. Her eyes were dark red, contrasting her pale skin and horns.

The man was shocked by the sudden appearance of the child, he snapped out of his shocked state and began to speak.

"Listen, kid, didn't your parents ever warn you not to attach to random stranger's legs?"

The girl looked up at him with a blank stare, "You can't go."

"If you don't get off, I'll get you off myself!" the man said as he began to shake his leg violently from side to side.

After a while of this, he began to get tired and stopped. "Have...you...had enough yet?!?" the man said in between gasps.

The girl looked up at him, with the same blank stare, "Your tricks won't work on m-" her speech was interrupted by her violent urge to throw up,

Both of them stayed quiet for a few seconds,

"A...are you ok?" Asked the man, in a slightly more concerned voice

"Your tricks won't work on me!" proclaimed the girl in an unchanged voice,

"she's pretending it didn't happen.." the man thought to himself.

"Listen, you need to go home, so do I. So how about we go do that?" Proposed the man.

"Fine by me." said the girl.

"Great! Then get off me and let's get going, it's getting dark." The man said triumphantly.

"I can't." replied the girl

For a moment, then man could have sworn he saw the slightest bit of sorrow in her eyes, but it sank back into the dark void of her eyes. "I see," the man said.

The man sat on the sand, further from the water and laid back, the girl let go of his leg and sat staring at him blankly, "Well, any responsible adult would demand you go home this late at night. " The man crossed his arms and put them behind his head, "But I'm not a responsible adult." the man said staring at the setting sun.
