"So, how'd it go?" Asked Mi,
"Well, aside from the fact I'm exhausted, it was actually a pretty good idea," said Gyll matter of factly.
"So, as for our agreement?" Mi inquired.
"Well, it's not like I have much of a choice, so I guess we have a deal." the man said with a sigh.
"Good," Mi jumped off the barrel and opened it, "Here, take this one," Mi said handing Gyll a book, as he looked at it, the previously obscene cover turned to a thick, leather-bound book cover with the title engraved in gold.
"What is this?" Asked Gyll flipping through the book's pages.
"It's a book of magic," Mi replied.
"Magic, so I'll be able to fly, or something?" asked Gyll intrigued but confused.
"Not exactly..." said Mi.
"Magic is a simple part of every-day life, any living object has at least one magic node, inanimate objects can develop nodes, or can have nodes created in them, a Human has on average twenty-six magic nodes, the number of nodes can change slightly, depending on the person." Gyll read out loud.
"Magic is usually defined as one of eight types.
> Elemental, this includes fire and air, as well as mixed elements such as steam and ice.
> Spiritual, this is a type of magic which lets one communicate, interact and potentially command spirits, demons and ghosts.
> Demonic, this is a type of magic which lets you command hellish demons, this type of magic often relies on life sacrifices and can easily backfire.
> Arcane, this type of magic can create, duplicate and erase manufactured items, such as food, weapons and even gold.
> Divine, this type of magic is the most common, and potentially the strongest, it relies on the belief of the user rather than mana to alter reality.
> Fleashweaving, this refers to using magic to heal, shape or even in some cases damage flesh directly.
> Cognimancy, this refers to the use of magic to alter one's perception of reality, for example, blindness, feeling imaginary pain, illusions.
> Nanomancy, this lets one use magic to change the characteristics of the physical world around us, usually in a small zone.
