Guilt

The situation felt unresolved between Luca and Sophia. Her desire to escape and his desire to protect were clashing.

He felt guilt that the reason she was hurt was because of him while she battled with what was next for them. She refused to stop living because of this moment but each time she thought of it happening again, she could feel herself shiver.

It felt worse to not talk about it but neither of them knew what to say or how to compromise.

Deciding to take things slow for as long as she was in the hospital, Sophia sat in her bed eating the nutritional food they brought her. She also had a few things to take concerning her blood still came back on the anemic side. At least she was no longer connected to an IV.

As she ate, she was surprised to hear a knock on the door and Miss Florentino walking in with a couple of bags.

"Here are the things you requested," the assistant said to her boss. "How is everything here?"
