21 AN OATH TO KEEP YOU SAFE

After all the things they went through today, it was decided that the post birthday party will be cancelled but they would still have a mini birthday party among themselves which involves only Hayden and his family, and two birthday stars with their family.

The party will be held at Lucas house, it will start at 7 pm which means 5 hours from now.

Adrian couldn't wait till night to visit Lucas, so he begged his mother for the 1st time even shamelessly throwing tantrums.

Alex couldn't handle her son's continuous nagging, she finally gave up and took her to Evans house.

As soon as they reach, Adrian left his mother alone to find his beloved 'brother.'

Alex only rolls her eyes at his son's silliness.

She could already see Adrian as Lucas slave like his father.

Alex sighs as she enters the home.

Olivia was already there waiting for her. Her friend has already informed of her(A) visit and she, herself knew Adrian will eventually visit Lucas once he knew of the accident.

" Please take a seat," Olivia guided Alex to the living room.

" No thanks, I would have come directly at night if not for Adrian's nagging" Alex wave her hand in refusal then she passed her a bag full of clothes.

Olivia nods, said " hmm" in agreement but was confused seeing the bag full of clothes.

She knew when it comes to Lucas would even forget himself so they could understand when he heard of the accident then he must have sulked and thrown tantrums with the demand of visiting Lucas.

" Since your son lures Adrian here, as a mother-in-law, it's your duty to take care of your little son-in-law. These are Adrian's clothes for tonight," Alex teases her friend then handed the bag.

" Oh don't even try to push the blame on my son, we all know it's Adrian who is chasing after my darling and dying to be my son-in-law ok," Olivia proudly counterattack Alex words and took the bag.

Both friends narrowed their eyes at each other for a minute or so then they burst out laughing as they high five.

" Seriously, Adrian is becoming like Hawk who follow me everywhere but our cutie Lucas didn't even give him a glance," Alex sighs as she pitifully thought about her son.

" You don't know, Lucas is your typical tsundere, he acts like he didn't care about Adrian but whenever Adrian wish for something he would be the one to act 1st, so you don't have to worry, all we have to wait till the day they will make us in-laws," Olivia happily stated as she remembers her son's antics.

If Lucas knew his mother's thoughts then he would have seriously considered maintaining his distance from Adian.

Alex nodded her head in agreement.

They happily chat for sometimes then Alex left.

While their's mother's were imagining their future, Adrian and Lucas were also busy among themselves.

Lucas knew Adrian would come to visit him as soon as possible while waiting for Adrian, he took a quick shower to cleanse himself from all the stress accumulating since morning.

As soon as he walk out of the room, he saw Adrian obediently waiting for him on the bed.

Oh, by the way, he was all dressed up ok, remind you all they were only children so don't overthink the situation.

Shortly after Lucas walk out of the bathroom in pyjamas, Adrian jump out of the bed and circle Lucas checking if he was all right.

Lucas let him do so as he pleases and to reassure him.

When Lucas saw Adrian was intently staring at him, he sighs and walk to the bed to get some rest so he could recharge for tonight's party.

" Go and change the clothes then accompany me," Lucas instructed Adrian who was still rooted at the same place and staring at him as if he blink Lucas would disappear.

Adrian nodded in a daze then walk to the closet to change the clothes.

Lucas shakes his head seeing Adrian like that.

He knew Adrian needed time to adjust his mental state.

What would you experience when heard your closest friend had an accident and he almost died.

At first, you will deny the fact but when you heard all the news channels report it and was forced to accept that he really die then suddenly you heard he was fine, you will be shocked and happy.

However, again you will have a hard time believing he was really alive, you will doubt and think what if like a first time after some time another call would come and again say he really died or something else.

Adrian was going through the same thing.

He could see Lucas alive and laughing in front of him but there is a doubt and fear in his mind making him hesitant to confirm the matter.

Adrian quickly changes his clothes and lie next to Lucas and he was facing Lucas back.

He reaches out to touch Lucas's shoulder but he quickly withdraws in hesitation.

Adrian continues to do for few more times.

Lucas was frustrated, he grab the hand which was reaching out for him then put Adrian's hand in his waist like always.

" I am fine, see you could feel the heat radiate from me and even hear me talking me with you, so don't feel distressed and calm down ok," Lucas turns around to face Adrian, he caresses Adrian's face while comforting him.

Hearing Lucas, Adrian quickly another one in his arms and inhale the familiar scent which always calms him down.

" You should have picked up my phone when I had messaged you, do you have any Idea how afraid I was when I heard you had an accident, you are selfish!" Lucas feels the person in his arm tremble and cry as he(Ad) complain.

" Hmm, it was really my fault this time, next time I will call you whenever I happen to face this type of situation ok," Lucas readily admits his mistake.

" So you are saying there could be a situation like this, huh, if something like this happens again I would go mad," Adrian was agitated when he hear the possibility of Lucas facing danger.

If he finds the culprit of today's even he would kill him/her, as he thought this Adrian emitted the dangerous killing aura.

Lucas was surprised to see Adrian agitated and surrounded by killing intent because of his remarks however he, himself knew the things that happen today couldn't be predicted and for them, danger could be everywhere and anywhere.

Lucas tightly hugged Adrian then rubbed his back soothingly," Calm down, impulsive actions is the least we could afford to do, be strong and powerful in the time of our separation so we could protect ourselves and each other, ok."

Lucas didn't know this word of his would be the fuel to drive Adrian Hemsworth to be one of the greatest names known in the world.

Adrian answered by hugging Lucas with an equal amount of care and intensity Lucas.

Lucas was tired physically and mentally and with the heat and warmth from Adrian, he soon fall asleep in Adrian's arms.

Adrian heard the consistent breathing of Lucas and knew he had fallen asleep.

He adjusted Lucas in his arms, he strokes Lucas's face lovingly as if he was caressing his most valued treasure.

" I promise to be the person worthy of you and the hand that tries to harm will be cut off," Adrian takes an oath by kissing Lucas forehead and he would do anything to fulfil it.

Even if means to be separated from his Lucas for more years than planned.
