21 Map Works and Lottery

Aveline blinked a few times.

"Huh? Seriously?"

She was no longer in her room. She now stood, barefoot, in the library entrance.

"Really? Did that just..."

She looked down at the hazy screen. The map showed the entirety of the school, almost amazingly detailed. On the side were tabs for different parts of the school. Her room, as well as the cafeteria and library were on it.

Aveline tapped the tab labeled "My Room" and suddenly she was standing inside of her room.

"I have quick travel!?"

Plopping down on her bed, Aveline looked at the roof. She contemplated the map for a bit, but decided to stop playing with it. She just looked at it, suddenly noticing small icons.

"Oh? Isn't that Nora's face? Cute smile. Okay... she's in the cafeteria? I'd go, but I'm not dressed for it."

Aveline looked down at her attire. She was wearing a silver nightgown that reached her thighs, but no bra and white panties.

"Yup. Felt so awkward when I was in the library entrance! Thankfully, no one saw me. There also no security cameras here, so I'm safe. I can see the headline now, "Newfound Hero Found to be a Voyeur." agh... the chills!"

Aveline started to giggle to herself before she lit up the lottery wheel.

"I have ten free chances, and extra chances cost five thousand points. Eh... I have around a hundred thirty thousand. So that's about twenty five spins? Still shy of a hundred thirty, but still close. Ten free spins first and foremost. Now, lemme see here..."

Aveline looked at the wheel. It was cut into four varying sections. Romance and Combat took up about half the board itself. Roughly forty percent was labelled Potions while the last ten was Special.

"Erm... let me just try on spin, for now."

Without any prompt, the dial suddenly started spiralling without end. Just as suddenly as it started, it stopped on Romance.

'Reward: Passive Skill of Romance. Lie Detector-A rank.

-User may feel a slight buzz in their ear if one of her conquests lies to her. Must be at least a level 2 to take effect.'

Aveline rubbed her face as she read it again.

"That's actually useful. They won't cheat, but if somethings wrong I can find it out. I do worry when they get sad..."

Aveline frowned, thinking of all the times her friends were either sad looking, or just plain exhausted.

"Can I upgrade it though? It's at A..."

'Upgrade Available. Cost is... 10000 points to reach S rank.'

"Oh! That's two lottery spins, but I have a ton. Sure, upgrade it."

'Lie Detector-S rank

-User can feel it in her bones when her friends lie to her. As long as they are at level 1, lie detection is valid.'

With a tiny fist pump, Aveline smiled as she set the wheel in motion again. Once more, it landed on Romance.

'Reward: Flower of Origin

-A simple rose that gives the user a chance to make things right. If you hurt a lover, or make someone feel that you are unforgivable, this will allow you to calm their heart.'

Aveline lifted an eyebrow.

"Why would I go and hurt someone I love? I'm dumb sometimes, but I'm not gonna hurt them... they're all precious to me. They're treasures that gleam as they smile. Screw it."

Aveline tossed the flower into one of her sheaths, lying nearby. A moment later, the third spin went off. It stopped on combat.

'Reward: Active Skill, Death Ripper

-Upon activation, user can follow a set line to deal incredible damage. This line will shift as time goes on. It is the ideal attack placement.'

With a quick chirp of happiness, Aveline spun the wheel seven more times.

'Reward: Victory X 3, Mirror of Reminiscence, True Victory, Aphrodisiac Potion X 2'

Aveline tilted her head now.

"These potions make me feel fear. I'll save them for now. Then these Victories? What the hell?"

'True Victory-S rank.

-User only. Upon wearing this item, the user can feel the lust level of those wearing Victory. May also track Victory users if they leave the map. Caution: Victory and True Victory may cause arousal on sight.'

'Victory-A rank.

-Conquests only. Special item used to track lust and location. Provides subtle bonuses depending on wearer.'

'Mirror of Reminiscence-A rank.

-A one time use item. Imprints a memory of a loved one. Fragile.'

Aveline immediately pulled out the mirror. She placed it on her nightstand and touched it softly. Before her eyes, a picture of Lyla appeared. She was smiling and happy. Aveline felt her heart was going to burst as the tears slid down her cheeks.

"I'm so sorry, Lyla. I should've done better."

Lowering her head, Aveline pressed her forehead against the mirror.

"Anya would love to see this. I'll show it to her sometime."

Pulling herself from her thoughts, Aveline looked up at the door. Kyra had stepped inside, her eyes lighting up as she saw Aveline moving about.

April 18th, Year of the Cold Serpent

Dear Diary,

I'm going back to class tomorrow, but today I checked out my system. It was strange and freaked me out a bit.

I literally teleported into a public area, wearing almost nothing. Sure, I'm not bad to look at... but I'm scared to think what would happen if someone saw me.

The lottery was strange. It gave me stuff I didn't expect. Whatever the Victory is, it seems useful. It's in a box, so I need to give them to the girls to be able to see what they are.

I'm excited again. I'm ready to do my best in school! Haha.
