Field Trip

"Alright little one. We are going to bring you out of the Manor today."

Eyes growing wide, Aveline hugged Thorin.

"Does that mean adventure, Papa?"

With a hearty laugh, his broad shoulders shook.

"Of course! You've been training your magic for the last three years! Your Mama and I want to make sure you're ready for anything."

Kyra and Nilly began to descend the stairs. Both wore what seemed to be meant for battle. White cotton pants, as well as deep black boots that reached their calves. Both wore tight fitting leather tops that left their arms completely unbound, thus giving free range of motion.

The mischievous Aveline stared at Kyra intensely, putting her hands to her mouth she got closer, ignoring the stares from her parents.

"Daring, aren't we? How do you fit all of that inside of that armor?"

Kyra began to blush as she started to pat Aveline's head.

"Such a pervert. I'll need help removing it later."

With a playful wink, Aveline was rooted to the spot. Her face was a tiny bit scarlet as she watched Kyra sway her hips.

'She's... fighting back. I really need to grow more... my breasts weren't anywhere near that big in the game, but I can still feel proud about them. My butt was bigger though, so there's that.'

Aveline followed her family towards a creamy white carriage parked in front of their manor. After helping the ladies in, Thorin hopped up beside the coachman as they began to move.

Inside of the carriage, Aveline had begun to nod off, her mother and Kyra chatting about dinner preparations.

-

"Huh? Where am I?"

Blinking away the sleepiness, Aveline crawled out of the debris. She stared at the burning carriage, her heart sinking.

"Mama? Papa? Kyra?"

Climbing to her feet, Aveline began to conjure water magic in front of her. Slowly, the fire was put out, but there were no other passengers.

"Where is everyone?"

Sounds of steel ringing against steel suddenly pulled Aveline from the wreckage. Trying her best to keep hidden, she made her way through the trees. There were scorch marks as well as puddles of water, massive stone and ice spikes and more littering the ground.

'What the hell happened? I... I fell asleep, but why am I unharmed? That carriage was blown apart with me inside.'

Peering between the trees, Aveline spotted a clearing. There were multiple people dressed similarly to bandits from RPGs lying about. Their eyes were lifeless as Aveline began to step around them.

'Why am I so calm? I feel fear, but it doesn't grip my heart.'

Finally reaching her destination, Aveline could only stare in horror. Before her stood three powerful looking bandits. One a massive bald man with rippling muscles hefting a greatsword. Further back, a nimble archer shot arrow after arrow while dodging incoming attacks. The last was a woman, a mask covering her face while her firey red hair swayed with every step as she casted fire spells.

Opposing them, her father was kneeling beside her mother. He had a massive gash across his chest, rendering his steel plate armor useless. Nilly had singed hair, but seemed otherwise fine, although her face was glittering with tears and exhaustion coated her brow. Kyra was wielding both of her blades, her eyes hazy with rage. Suddenly she screamed out.

"You'll pay for what you've done!"

In a blind fury, she began to rush the massive man. He had a nasty grin on his face, which began to piss Aveline off.

'You touch my family... you're begging me to do it."

Her white locks began to change into a bright yellow-green, almost like a vine.

'I practiced in secret to perfect these special combination spells. You'll be my first target... so die.'

"Dual Spell: Plant Magic. Ivy Vine Wrap!"

Her voice grew octave after octave as she shouted her spell. The six people within the clearing began to stare. A mix of emotion erupted on both sides. The obvious relief from her family, as well as the disdain in the eyes of the bandits.

'Hmm? Did the mage just... calm down?'

Vines suddenly exploded from below the archer. He grew fearful as he darted to and fro, attempting to evade the spell.

"Goodbye."

With a triumphant smirk, a vine erupted where the archer landed. His foot was instantly impaled as a massive scream echoed in the clearing. The vines travelled up his body, crushing every bone and organ slowly... until finally...

SQUISH

His blood spurted into the sky, his body going limp. Aveline was satisfied with her work, but immediately dodged to the side. A gout of flame barely, but purposefully missed her.

'Hmm... somethings up.'

Aveline darted forward, heading towards the mage that stood far back. Coming towards her revealed the rest of the clearing... it was an enormous drop that went on for meters upon meters, ending in a massive forest.

The massive brute shoved Kyra back, her attacks posing him no threat. Her rush of rage came to an end as she laid on the grass, gasping for air.

Looking back, Aveline could see the lumbering man chasing her down. She could feel her breath catch as she nearly slammed into the mage.

Skidding to a halt, she wrapped around and hooked the mage by her waist. Ice crystals coated her hand as she created a blade of ice and pushed it towards her throat.

The mage didn't even try to resist, only gripping the tunic that Aveline wore. A soft voice came from within the mask.

"Help..."

Aveline stepped towards the edge, purposefully getting closer as the massive man continued his charge.

"What is his problem?"

Pointing her icy hand towards him, a sudden torrent of ice blades shot out.

'I can silent cast basic spells, but my combination spells take time. I'll work on it later on.'

The greatsword began to swing, knocking most of the ice away as it struggled to reach its target.

"He h-has a magic warding amulet on his sword."

Aveline stared at the mage, her curiosity spiking. Stepping around her, she began to guard the mage. She could see the befuddled expressions of her injured family, but she understood an ally stood beside her.

"Can you cast?"

"N-no. My reserves are gone. I'm exhaust-"

Cut off from Aveline's sudden movement, the mage was knocked sideways. The sword wielder had suddenly appeared in front of them without warning.

'Light magic? Damn... I'm still inexperienced with that kind.'

Aveline backed off, then launched herself forward as she encased her arm with earthen spikes.

"Damn girl. You're much better then that useless bitch right there. Wanna be mine?"

His eyes grew nasty, causing Aveline to recoil. She lunged again, attempting to push him away from the fearful mage. However, her attempts were in vain. The man she struck at vanished suddenly, his body appearing beside the mage.

Aveline spun on her heel, launching one last attack towards the man. Her hair began to cycle the elements as she casted multiple spells. Channeling fire then wind, she caused explosive force to launch herself whilst she simultaneously conjured ice and earth spikes on her arms. As she grew closer, her hair shined a dazzling white as she forced the ice to glint from her magnifying light.

Her desired effect took place as the bald man held his eyes, both spikes suddenly impaling his body. Blood spurted from his mouth, while the puncture wound bled profusely. Some blood flew onto Aveline's face, but her eyes didn't process that. She stared out over the forest below, her attack ramming the massive man to fall passed the cliff edge!

Turning back, her eyes began to black out as her magic consumption was too high. As her eyes closed, a pair of fluffy ears appeared in her sight as a mask was sent flying.

March 12th, Year of the Demon-Crab

Dear Diary,

I'm finally getting into the double digits! Just turned eleven not way too long ago. I've been getting better with magic, as well as learning how to train my body properly from Mama. She excited to teach me how to fight... which is weird since she's pretty protective.

I can combine most of my magic now, but I'm still weak with light and dark. Basic spells are available, but that's it.

Kyra has begun to tease me back when I hit on her. She's grown so pretty, but she's still single. Do I have a chance with her when I get older? Sure she's ten years my senior... but can't a girl dream?
