4 Grant-Star! (2)

After greeting Icarus, George looks at Torsten and calmly asks

"Table for three then, isn't it?"

Torsten replies absently while thinking about how quickly Icarus disappeared.

"Huh? Ah... that's right!"

"Okay, but these clothes hmm..."

Ponders George while looking at Icarus' appearance.

'YEEES! It is impossible to let me enter a restaurant so chic and expensive with these shitty clothes! I love you George!'

Icarus thinks excitedly when he sees the manager's doubt.

"Well, normally we wouldn't let anyone dressed like that, but as I know that Mr. Icarus can afford it, I won't stop them from entering!"

'NOOO! Damn old man! Why do you have to be so nice? I hate you George!'

Icarus cursed while simultaneously saying

"Oh, thank you George it's good to know that I can count on you"

"This is nothing! Please follow me!"

As they follow him, Torsten looks at Icarus and takes the opportunity to ask

"When did you disappear? I was looking at you all the time!"

"Huehuehue! You still have a lot to learn, my little grasshopper!

The big brother here is an expert on escape! The moment you noticed George standing in front of the restaurant, you turned your attention to him and temporarily forgot about me!

Besides, the big guy here was distracted thinking about what he going to order, so I just had to run! Easy like that!"

Icarus boasts as he looks around for places to escape.

"At times like this, I feel I should respect you more"

Says Torsten and Alkeides beside him nods in agreement.

"We arrived here's your table! Please enjoy!"

George says with a smile after putting the menus on the table.

However, just as he was about to go out and call the waiters Torsten stops him

"Wait George! I have something to talk to you!"

Torsten says as he walks away from the table and starts whispering to George.

Icarus looks at his friend Gullbhar who just shrugs him off, thus showing that he doesn't know anything either.

With no choice, the two look at the location of their table; second floor next to the window.

Both are satisfied with the location, so they sit in their seats and start looking at the menu.

"I see... don't worry; I'll inform the restaurant staff! So if you'll excuse me!"

George says and then leaves while glancing at Icarus.

Torsten sits down and smiles with satisfaction, then decide to look at the menu.

"Hey, what did you say to George?"

Icarus asks a little curious as he looks at this little Enfys.

"Oh, I was just asking him to make sure he is the chef who is cooking our dishes and not just his assistants!"

Torsten replies without looking at Icarus while looking at the menu.

"Very good, I had forgotten that!"

Alkeides says excitedly also looking at his menu.

"Hmm... sometimes I forget that you are children of wealthy families"

Icarus says with an expressionless face as he looks at Torsten and Alkeides.

"Okay, let's pretend that the parents you avoid so much are not as wealthy as my parents and Alkeides!'

Says Torsten as he finally looks directly into the eyes hidden behind the messy hair that Icarus has.

"Urgh... I don't know what you're talking about!"

Icarus replies while looking away and tries to hide it.

Torsten and Alkeides laugh at this and the waiter arrives.

"Hello and welcome to Grant-Star! Are you ready to order now?"

"Oh hello, yes, I'll have a 19, 29, 32 and a beer"

Alkeides answers.

"I would like a 15, 26 and a beer"

Torsten replies with a small smile.

"Okay, and you-"

The waiter responds with a smile as he takes their order.

However, when looking at Icarus, stops for a few seconds, but soon remembers that the manager who brought them to the table so he just thinks that Icarus is a little eccentric.

"What would you like, sir?"

Icarus who was looking at the menu does not notice this abnormality, but his friends look at each other and find a smile of amusement on each other's faces.

"I will want a 21, 42 and a bottle of wine"

Icarus replies while looking at the waiter.

"All right, so if you'll excuse me"

The waiter finishes taking orders, takes the menus, and leaves

After the waiter leaves Alkeides turns to Icarus and asks

"Hey Icarus"

"What's it?"

"About earlier when I challenged you. How did you manage to talk about all those events in such detail? Sometimes it felt like you were even there"

"Huh? Oh! That's because I'm actually an omniscient being and I know everything!"

Icarus says with a serious face.

"Really?"

Alkeides asks surprised.

"Of course not!"

"Of course not!"

Icarus and Torsten respond simultaneously.

"Oh... so how?"

Alkeides asks a little embarrassed.

"Sigh... well it's simple! I have an eidetic memory and I remember everything I see, hear or feel!"

"Are you serious this time?"

"Yea, this time it's true! You can even ask T-Rex if you want!"

"Wow, this must be really cool!"

"Yes it's pretty cool most of the time, but there are situations where I don't think it's so cool!"

"What kind of situations?"

Asks Torsten who had his curiosity piqued.

"Hmm... for example when you don't want to go to a party or event, you can just say things like 'Oh it was that day? I had forgotten! Please forgive me for that!' isn't it?

Icarus asks as he looks at his friends.

"Yeah, I already used an excuse similar to this!"

Alkeides replies.

"Well, I also tried it once after not going to one of the T-rex competitions

Sigh… but in the end I just got beaten up by it!

After giving me a beating she looked at me and said 'The next time try to use this excuse on someone who doesn't know your eidetic memory'

That was scary so since then I never lied again in my life"

"Yeah, Yeah"

"Yeah, Yeah"

Torsten and Alkeides respond simultaneously with contempt.

"Ahem... giving an answer to your question. Remember that before I started summarizing everything I asked for a few minutes to prepare?"

"Yes, I remember!"

"Well, during that time what I did is very simple at least for me! All I needed was to research online about human history, I took advantage and looked for interviews with those involved in the events and according to the answers they gave

I adapted it in my narrative and voilà!"

"Freak!"

Torsten replies.

"This way you make me sad! Huehue!"

Icarus says as he tries to make a sad face.

"I would believe you if it weren't for that stupid smile on your face!"

"Ahem… what smile?"

Icarus asks as he tries to keep a straight face.

"I have another question!"

Interrupts Alkeides

"Speak!"

Icarus responds quickly.

"What does the company acronym that God has, mean?"

"God? Oh, you mean Isten! I forgot that people call him that!"

"Now, we supposed to pretend I don't know that you don't forget things?"

"Come on, just because I don't forget things doesn't mean that don't exist occasions where I really forget them!"

"What? That sentence doesn't even make sense!"

Icarus ignores Torsten's dissatisfaction and continues

"Anyway, the real name of the Isten Company is very strange in my opinion!"

"Oh, really? What is it?"

"The acronym G.O.O.D stands for Guardians of the ordinary days!"

Icarus speaks, while watching the expression of his friends.

"Don't fuck! You're lying again!"

Alkeides says irritably while Torsten agrees nodding his head

Hearing this, Icarus doesn't get mad, on the contrary he starts laughing

"Huehuehue!"

After laughing, he looks at Torsten and says

"Incredible as it may seem, this time I'm telling the truth! If you guys don't believe me, you can search if you want!"

"Okay, just give me a minute!"

Torsten raises his left arm and starts fiddling with the watch on his wrist

After a few seconds, he freezes, then he slowly looks at Icarus and says

"You, you really didn't lie!"

"What? Seriously? Let me see!"

Alkeides quickly searches in his own watch and arrives at the same result as Torsten

Then he looks at Icarus with a puzzled face

Seeing this, Icarus smiles and says to the two

"I watched an interview, where they asked" God "where this strange name came from. Do you guys want to know what he answered?"

"Yes!"

"Yeah!"

"Well, he explains that his grandfather always said to him in his childhood

'The role of our company is to ensure that ordinary days never change, that way people can live their lives as they always have!'

He said that this phrase moved him a lot, so when he merged several companies, he paid a little tribute! That's where the company name came from!"

"I understand it was a tribute, but I still think God is a strange person!"

"Yeah!"

Torsten says while Alkeides agrees.
