In this night, it was difficult to close my eyes. It was hot and there was an ominous feel in the air. The visions still kept coming and I was still no closer to understanding them. The room was a heavy shade of black, sinking down like a wet cloud of mist. My eyes were hazy and heavy, waiting for sleep to fall upon it. After what seemed like hours, I finally managed to let slumber visit. I lit one last cigarette, puffing in thought, scouring the darkness before I killed it. I lied down on the bed and slumber took its toll, at least that's what I thought. I heard a shrill scream and was startled awake. The area was lit up as I took it all into focus. The room was not my own, and in front of me stood a woman, in her late twenties. Her eyes were wide and it stared into my soul, not blinking. Her head tilted to the side slowly, revealing a slit from ear to ear, reminding me of a twisted and bloody smile. She snapped her head back and I could hear a crack of bones. It took me a moment to realize she wasn't even touching the floor. She started moving towards me, reaching out, and I felt totally defenseless...
