5 The Whisper

We all have that one friend right? That friend that just has a creepy vibe that just seems to embrace them. I have that friend, she dosnt always try being scary or creepy. It just happens with her sometimes. Sometimes its intentional, sometimes its an accident. Your probably thinking that she does these pranks with a clown mask on or something right? What I mean is, her whispering.

I felt a soft tap on my shoulder, I turned around to see her behind me. "So remember tonight all three of us were going into the woods." The three of us have this thing going on. Basically every week we have to do something that one of us enjoys. This time it was her turn. She loves creepy things, horrors, anything haunted. That's probably where she got that creepy vibe. "You didn't forget did you?" She whispered sending chills down my spine. She leaned in closer to me, "Did you?" She whispered again. I stepped back, "No, no of course not! I wouldn't forget but Kaylee might, we should go remind her...." I looked away from her gaze.

"Okay let's go!" Bella's voice was cheery and innocent again, not that whisper that seemed to penetrate my skull. We met up with Kaylee as usual she always had her head buried in a book. You'd think, as nerdy she is, she would follow that stereotype where the need is always wearing big dorky glasses and a beige parka. They seem to always make the nerd look like that one weird kid you wouldn't want to be friends with. Kaylee wasn't anything like that. She was a nerd, but she was probably the prettiest one in our group.

She had light, shiny brown hair, with amber highlights that glowed in the sun. It matched her porcelain face. Bella had raven black hair, it always reminded me of the grudge, or Samara whenever she whispered. Mine was a simple brown, not very shiny or matted, just average I guess. It didnt bother me, I liked being the average.

"Hi Kay!" Bella, pounced on Kaylee. Kay is our nickname for her. "Oh my God," Kaylee took a moment to get back to her senses. "You scared me half to death." She leaned back in her chair and sighed. "Oh sorry." Bella giggled. I sighed and sat infront of Kaylee. "So, you are still going with us tonight right?" I myself wasn't too scared, I'm just worried about Bella acting up. Kaylee dosnt do to good in these situations. "Oh... yeah right..." She shuddered. "I'm going, yup.... I'm going..." It sounded like she was reassuring herself out loud.

"You know if you dont want to you dont have to."

"Well yeah but I backed out last time, I'll feel bad if I back out again." She frowned.

"Bella, your not gonna do anything right?" I looked behind Kaylee but she wasn't there. "Nope." She whispered in my ear behind me. I screamed and jumped out of my seat. "BELLA!"

"What? That was like the perfect time to do it."Her voice went back to innocent. Not just her whisper was absolutely horrifying, but her footsteps are usually silent. I dont know how I haven't had a heart attack with her around all the time. Making things worse, whenever we go to these "haunted" places, Bella usually drags us here cause she wants to find something, or someone. She always seems to have an objective when we go to these places. Last time she was trying to find Siren Head. The thought itself made me shudder.

11:24pm

"H-hey, what was that?" Kaylee said trembling and shaking.

"Kay, calm down, its your own footsteps." Bella assured her.

My eyes kept wandering in every direction possible. I had like 7 flashlights on me right now. Kaylee is clutching my arm for her life. Bella is leading the way with a dim flashlight.

"So uh... Bella, remind me, why are we here again?"

She turned around and smiled, "Because, you agreed to it." Her voice was very innocent and calm, yet it was somehow eerie. Kaylee clutched my arm even harder, her knuckles were white and I could no longer feel my arm.

"Bella, you know where we are right?" I said, my voice shakey.

"Of course," She pointed to the trail Infront of us. "I'm just following the trail if we keep going without stopping we'll be back where we started around 1:20am." she kept staring at the trail.

"I- I think I saw something." Kaylee said softly. I just now noticed she had tears in her eyes.

Bella turned around and smiled. "Well now... Its too late..." Her voice was a normal tone, not eerie at all. She walked towards us, her footsteps were silent, her smile widened, her voice turned back into that horrifying whisper. "Cause' he's standing right behind you..."
