4 The Stretcher (Part 2)

I was too tall for my bed. Yeah I know, I know, I should probably get a bed that's the right size but I'm not really in a position to get a new bed. I mean I don't have the money for it.

You get used to it eventually, your feet dangling of the edge. At least I did. I dont have a fear of something or someone hiding under the bed like most people. Not scared of the dark either, its when I hear a sound that doesn't sound like my fan that gets my heart pounding.

I fell onto my bed, exhausted, it was a long day at work. I raised my arm and spread fingers out towards the ceiling. I dont know why I did this, it's just something I do at night. I released the tension in my arm letting it fall back to my side. I stood up and positioned myself comfortably on the bed ready for sleep.

I woke up to the sound of something falling. Like a pencil. I sat up on full alert. Someone was here. I started trembling turning towards the door as the nob slowly turned sideways. The door creaked open leaving a small crack large enough for someone to peak into.

It slowly creaked open revealing a man wearing a black robe and a mask. A white mask with eye holes but no eyes.

"Calm down..." He said. "Calm down..." His voice was almost soothing, hypnotizing.

"Lay back down it'll be over soon."

"What will be over soon!?" I yelled.

He reached for my foot. My first reaction was to kick him, and I did in the face actually. His mask loosened and slowly fell off revealing his face. No eyes just almond shaped holes that almost seemed to cry blood. His smile was ripped and carved on his face. Like he cut it onto his cheeks. Forever smiling..

I dont know where he got it but he pulled out an axe. He scrapped it across the ground as he walked to the end of the bed where my feet hanged. He raised it.

"WAIT NO!" I yelled crying, screaming for my life as the axe chopped my foot off. I heard the thud of my severed limp hit the ground. I screamed in horror as he raised it again and went for other foot. I screamed.
