1 Chapter 1: The Enemy

This story will take place mid/end book 2.

I wrote this fanfic because I ship Zutara and because I love to write.

This story will be about Zuko and Katara and what would've happened if Zuko did see her at the teashop and how it would effect their lives I'm writing from Katara's point of view.

Packing to visit the Eart King.

I can't believe Sokka hugged me that tightly Momo.. he almost crushed me.

Momo: ...

I am glad I stayed behind, I know how much Sokka misses father.. I miss him as well but he needs this more than I do.

Momo:..

Momo looked at me with his big eyes and listened carefully.

I smiled and started petting him whilst saying:

Momo you're such a sweet guy I really enjoy your company.

I grabbed my bag of water and fixed my hair.

Momo are you coming, we have to bring the information to the Earth King.

Momo jumped onto my shoulder and we strolled through Ba Sing Se.

It was as beautiful as the tales you heard.

I remember my mother telling me stories about the brave people of the Earth Kingdom.

Ba Sing Se was the best example of their bravery and to be here to help them that would've made her proud.

I miss you mother..thank you for protecting me now it's my turn to protect the innocent, is what I said whilst clutching my necklace.

We walked further and saw groups of people walking towards the same building.

Hey Momo, where do you think they're going?

Momo: ....

You know.. we still have some time left let's find out.

We walked behind the large groups to see what was going on.

More and more people joined in.

Mhmm.. let me ask someone what is going on.

I walked up to a man near us.

Uhm excuse me sir, may I ask where everyone is going?

The man laughed and said:" Haha.. why the best tea of Ba Sing Se of course."

A tea shop..., I asked startled

"Not just a tea shop THE BEST tea shop in Ba Sing Se."

I see.. so everyone here is going to THE BEST tea shop right now?

"Yes they are, the man who makes the tea has a gift.. Ba Sing Se never had tea as delicious as his" the man said.

That sounds amazing, thank you sir for telling me.

The man nodded and walked further.

Mhmm..this sounds intruiging I can't wait to try it, what about you Momo.

Momo looked at me with his big eyes and made a little noise.

That's what I thought, let's walk further I think we're almost there.

After a few minutes we arrived at THE Best tea shop.

People were standing in a long line, it seemed as if the line moved fast.

Mhmm.. what do you think Momo, should we get a cup of tea before visiting the Earth King?

Tabel for two please, I said to the hostess.

I looked around the tea shop and saw people laughing, it made me smile seeing how much people love the tea.

Zuko: Uncle the tea is done.

Uncle Iroh: Bring it to the table.

My heart stopped beating for a moment I was startled...was that..

Zuko gave the tea to the customer and smiled. Before turning around to walk away he saw Katara scared..

I saw Zuko walking towards me..

No...it can't be...

Momo we have to leave NOW..

Zuko: No wait!

I ran out of the tea shop and saw Zuko chasing after me.

GO AWAY ZUKO LEAVE US ALONE

Zuko: NO PLEASE YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND

I ran as fast as I could but he was fast.

In the distance I spotted a fountain and said to myself: Fine he wants to chase me, than I'll let him chase me. I can't use my water now but the fountain should be enough.

FINE YOU WANT TO GET ME, THAN COME GET ME

Zuko: NO YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND I DON'T WANT TO HURT YOU

I ran as fast as I could towards the fountain.

I jumped over the steps and stood behind the fountain whilst bending a waterwhip.

Zuko stood in front of the fountain his hands against his sides.

I am warning you Zuko, stay away from me or I'll make you stay away!

Zuko: Stop, please you have to understand, I don't want to hurt you.

I looked at Zuko and saw his sad smile, he looked sincere..but he is the enemy..

How am I supposed to believe you after everything you've done! You chased Aang, you fought me at the Northern Tribe! Do you know how awful you are, the avatar is here to help us and the bring peace to the world and you try to kill him!

Zuko sat down on his knees in front of the fountain and said:"You're right."

I was in shock..did he..what did he just say..

I am what?

Zuko: "You are right, I did horrible things..and I can't take them back..but you have to trust me I'm different now."

I looked at him kneeling in front of me..

Changing your hair doesn't mean that you are different Zuko!, is what I yelled at him.

You can't possibly think that I believe you after everything you've done!

Zuko: I understand that you hate me, you have every right to it.. I've done horrible things. I thought that in order to get honor I had to capture Aang, but I realize it's something only I can give myself.

I listened to him and saw the grieve in his eyes, maybe he did change..

I mean he could've attacked me already if he wanted to.

Zuko looked up at me and said thank you.

Don't thank me, I never said I trust you.

Zuko gave a sad smile and said: "You stepped away from behind the fountain and that says enough for me"
