[T/L: Sorry for the late update, had a lot of things I had to do, I should have given heads up first. Somehow, someway, something just happens that forces me to postpone posting chapters.]
Chapter 44.
Recap: Last Time:
Stelle was sent on an errand to Jarlio-VI by Herta's request to check on her puppet and gather information about what had happened to it.
Upon arriving at Jarlio-VI, Stelle had hoped for a sense of peace, but instead, the planet appeared to be even more chaotic than she had remembered.
Setting the chaos aside, she managed to locate the Supreme Guardian and conveyed Herta's request to him.
In response, Adonis said, "Get the fuc-"
.
Herta Space Station.
A puppet of Herta on her space station activated her mobile device and viewed the photos she had received. After a moment of amazement, she replied.
[Herta: It's truly deserving of being the puppet I created; she looks quite adorable in that attire.]
[Stelle: ??]
[Herta: Don't you agree? Never mind, forget about it. Ask her a few questions on my behalf, and then, along with her answers, make a record and send them to me.]
Beloberg.
Lower District.
Setting her phone down with a sigh, Stelle turned her attention to Hook, Clara, and Alice.
Hook gave Stelle a perplexed look, silently wondering, "Could she be one of those people big brother mentioned?"
Clara, as if sensing Hook's thoughts, regarded her with an exasperated expression, thinking, "What's going on in his head now?"
Meanwhile, Alice remained silent, utterly bewildered by the situation, not comprehending why they were all looking at each other strangely.
After a few moments of contemplation, Stelle approached Alice. "Herta?" Stelle inquired cautiously, hoping to gauge Alice's reaction.
Alice fell silent for a moment and then fixed her gaze on Stelle with an unmistakable hostility.
Noticing the hostility in Alice's eyes, Stelle was taken aback. "Why does she look like she's about to rip me into pieces?"
Alice, frustrated, managed to squeeze out her words. "My name is not Herta, and I am not her puppet. My name is Alice. Adonis gave me my name, and he explained its meaning to me. Compared to a name like Herta... Ugh, I don't even want to think about it."
Hearing this, Stelle was left speechless.
Connecting the dots, Stelle realized that the true culprit of this situation was none other than Adonis. Reflecting on it, she wasn't particularly surprised.
"Even a puppet is not spared, how frightening," Stelle wryly smiled and shook her head, admitting, "I'm sorry; it seems I've made a mistake."
She turned away, starting to walk off, but Hook muttered to himself, "What a strange auntie."
Stelle was caught off guard by Hook's comment. She felt like an arrow had pierced her heart and wanted to protest, "I'll have you know that I look like I'm in my teenage years!" but found herself unable to respond.
[Stelle: Herta?]
[Herta: What?]
[Stelle: I'm not addressing you; I'm just repeating the question.]
[Herta: You... You should have clarified then.]
[Stelle: Regarding her response to my question, she seemed quite unhappy with your name. Actually, 'unhappy' is an understatement; I could sense a hint of disgust in her eyes. Her new name is Alice, given to her by Adonis.]
[Stelle: Therefore, there's only one truth!]
[Stelle: She has amnesia.]
[Herta: ...]
[Herta: Case closed, then.]
[Stelle: ...?]
At Herta's research base.
Herta's real body nodded thoughtfully as she muttered to herself, "The changes that occurred in the puppet are more interesting than I expected."
"But that name... Alice, huh?" She observed the picture Stelle had sent and paused once more. She then examined her own appearance and contemplated, "Should I look into technology that accelerates growth?"
Herta felt that something undesirable might occur if she visited Jarlio-VI in her current state. She searched for the right word and then exclaimed, "It couldn't be... what's that word again?"
Herta scratched her head before remembering, "Ah, yes! Lolicon!"
She entertained the idea, "Could it be that the Supreme Guardian Adonis is a lolicon? Does he have a preference for young girls?"
Herta was left in a state of shock for a while.
Jarlio-VI.
Lower district.
Stelle let out another sigh.
"As expected of Herta! Entrusting others to do things for her without taking responsibility at all. This is injustice!" Stelle felt the urge to protest but then sighed once more. She made a firm decision in her mind: "I'll reject her next time!"
Just then, Stelle received a message from March Seven.
[March Seven: Stelle, you're already in Jarlio-VI, right? Is it getting better there?]
Stelle glanced towards the sky, observing Birdmen flying and shooting destructive beams at the protective barrier in an attempt to break through.
[Stelle: It's getting worse, no, it's beyond that at this point.]
[March Seven: Ah? Haven't we sealed the Stellaron? And with Adonis there, how could it be worse.]
[Stelle: More Antimatter Legion... Birdmen... Ugh. Explaining this is a drag; I'll send a picture for you to show Mr. Yang.]
Stelle quickly opened her camera and took a picture of the sky filled with Birdmen and fiery explosions. She thought, 'It's not even December yet...'
'No, even the citizens are not bothered by them anymore.'
Stelle was at a loss for what to do.

Xianzhou Luofu.
After receiving the pictures sent by Stelle, March tried to identify the flying creatures, but after some time, she gave up. "Let's hand this job to Mr. Yang!"
Once she handed it over to Welt Yang, March curiously asked him, "Mr. Yang, what are these?"
Welt, who was immersed in silence like an old man, looked at March's phone. After examining the picture, he frowned for a moment. "If I guessed correctly, they should be the people of Abundance, the Wingmakers to be precise."
Welt paused for a moment, seemingly recalling something, and then he muttered, "But then, why are they in Jarlio-VI?"
