Chapter 31

With a slight nod, Adonis withdrew from the chat group. In the span of ten days, he had accumulated 1200 points. However, considering the small price tag for Devil Fruits, it was apparent that he could only acquire a portion of them.

Additionally, Adonis pondered whether mangroves were considered a rare plant. 

After some calculation, he determined that if the points required exceeded 100, he would only be able to acquire ten Devil Fruits. Combining these with the ones he had obtained before arriving at Marineford, Adonis had a total of twelve Devil Fruits.

The situation called for careful consideration and trade-offs.

Unfortunately, Adonis only knew the names of the Burning Fruit and the Shock Fruit among the twelve Devil Fruits he possessed. His gaze shifted across the battlefield and settled on Sengoku.

After a moment of contemplation, he seemed to become lost in thought, then he punched the air beside him and a four-sided quantum door cracked open in the space beside him.

Both the Navy and the pirates were once again left astounded.

"What's happening?"

"Did he just crack open space with a gesture?"

"Is this some kind of Devil Fruit ability?"

As they wondered, Adonis, in their stunned gazes, stepped through the quantum gate and vanished into thin air.

Everyone looked around in bewilderment. Then, the pupils of the Navy officers constricted, and one of them urgently said, "Marshal Sengoku!"

The man whose strength seemed bottomless had suddenly appeared in front of Marshal Sengoku. The question on everyone's mind was: What was he planning to do next?

The Navy officers were filled with panic, uncertain of Adonis's intentions. However, Adonis appeared contemplative.

"It seems I've found the right person," Adonis remarked. He retrieved the three Devil Fruits he had obtained previously from his quantum space and pointed to several Devil Fruit Phantoms floating beside him. "Tell me the names of these fruits."

Sengoku was momentarily taken aback, but he quickly adjusted his glasses and began to observe the twelve Devil Fruits. He reported their names as he identified them.

Shortly after, Adonis had it all figured out.

From the Superman had the following Devil Fruits: Shield Fruit, Beat Fruit, Muscle Fruit, and Shock Fruit.

The Natural system included: Burnt Fruit, Dark Fruit, and Cloud Fruit.

The Animal lines comprised: Canine Fruit - Husky Form, Fish Fruit - Octopus Form, and Bird Fruit - Finch Form.

The Phantom Beast species had: Canine Fruit - Phantom Beast Species - Nine-Tailed Fox Form, Cat-Cat Fruit - Phantom Beast Species - Cat Form.

Adonis couldn't help but think that his choice had been a good one.

Excluding the animal line, Adonis grouped the three animal Devil Fruits together separately. He smiled at Sengoku, "Thank you for the information."

Sengoku nodded, still somewhat perplexed.

However, when he snapped back to reality, he suddenly remembered that he hadn't even asked the identity of the mysterious person, only to discover that the individual had disappeared from his sight once again.

Confused, he turned to Garp, the seasoned veteran of many years. Garp immediately grasped the situation and nodded in the direction of Nami and Luffy.

Sengoku shifted his gaze in that direction and saw Nami handing Luffy over to Jinbei nearby. Then she bowed to the man, Adonis, as if conveying something.

Onlookers were once again left in astonishment.

Did they know each other? How did the pirate come into contact with this mysterious individual?

Everyone was curious about the conversation between Nami, Luffy, and the mysterious person, wondering if it would reveal this individual's identity. 

However, no one dared to eavesdrop, except for Jinbei, who was standing nearby and could clearly hear their conversation.

"Thank you so much this time, Lord Guardian," Nami expressed her gratitude with a 90-degree bow. 

Despite the deviation from their initial agreement, Lord Guardian had not taken matters into his own hands. 

Instead, he had given her something even more valuable—the ability to personally protect her companions. Nami felt fortunate to have fought alongside Luffy rather than watching from the sidelines.

"No thanks, that's the deal," Adonis replied with a warm, jade-like smile. "Moreover, this is a miracle created by yourself."

Jinbei was taken aback by the sudden mention of the word "miracle," not understanding how the conversation had shifted in that direction. 

However, Nami seemed to grasp the meaning, saying, "If it weren't for Lord Guardian, I wouldn't have accomplished any of this."

Adonis smiled and ceased speaking. Seeing his reaction, Nami came to a realization and hesitantly inquired, "Lord Guardian, are you leaving?"

"Hmm," Adonis nodded. He had acquired enough Devil Fruits for now, and Nami had collected seeds to improve the environment of Jarlio-Vi. There didn't seem to be any further requirements.

Nami didn't press the matter and knew that her persuasion might not be effective. She bowed once more and bid farewell with pursed lips. "Lord Guardian, until next time."

However, she received no response. When she looked up, Lord Guardian had vanished without a trace.

Nami let out a soft sigh. She wished she could spend more time with Lord Guardian, but her top priority now was to ensure a safe exit for herself and Captain Luffy. With Luffy on her back once more, Nami left the scene with the group of pirates Luffy had encountered in Impel Down.

Once Adonis disappeared, all the people at Marine Ford were once again left in a state of bewilderment. After confirming that he had left, the Navy personnel turned their attention to Sengoku, waiting for orders.

Sengoku pondered for a moment but refrained from issuing the order to capture the pirates. At this point, what could be more significant than finding out the mystery of the enigmatic man?

Meanwhile, far from the shores of Marine Ford, Adonis stood on the open sea, patiently awaiting the rebirth of all the Devil Fruits. When he saw that they had all been reborn, he clicked the return button in the chat group.

[Calculating the points required for the carry: 102 pounds of seeds for a total of 21 points, 66 points for the mangrove saplings endemic to the pirate world, 1200 points for 12 devil fruits, a total of 1287 points, do you pay and return?]

Adonis nonchalantly discarded the finch fruit and octopus fruit into the sea.

[Detected to lose two Devil Fruits, currently a total of 1087 points, do you pay and return?]

"Yes." Adonis confirmed the payment and returned.
