2 Dreams of the Past

Nagazora City~

"Hah?! You want to enter Chiba academy? Why?!" A white-haired girl exclaimed towards a handsome red-haired boy beside her.

The two were currently on the streets so people gazed at them after hearing her.

"I don't know, I just felt like it. I've got this feeling that something will happen involving that school." The boy shrugged

"...Hmph! Then I guess, I should enter too." The girl said

"Hah?! You...?" The boy chuckled, "With you being a Baka tuna? Haha, no way...!"

"Who are you calling baka tuna, Kenneth!?" Kiana gnashed her teeth,

"What? It's the truth though, hahaha" Kenneth ignored Kiana and continued walking.

"Hey! Wait for me!" Kiana exclaimed

"By the way, what do you want to eat?" Kenneth asked Kiana, the two of them are now on their way to have their lunch.

"Hmph!"

"Sigh...Whatever, let's go, Baka tuna." Kenneth sighed

"Hey! Stop calling me baka tuna!"

Kenneth ignored her and just walked. After some time, they got to a nearby establishment and ate lunch.

The duo of Kenneth and Kiana didn't do much the whole day other than playing games and such. And soon the day passed and it's now nighttime.

In Kenneth's room, he was currently seen sitting beside the window, holding a glass of alcohol.

"Now then, I should call an acquaintance to get me and Kiana admitted into Chiba Academy." Kenneth muttered, "But what is this feeling of unease about that academy? If there's any danger then, I'll rely on you, partner."

{Of course} A sudden voice answered by no one except Kenneth in the room.

"Just to be sure but, do you detect high honkai energy in this city or outside of it?" Kenneth asked,

{No, I only detect some small honkai presence outside the city.}

"That's good, I wouldn't want what happened in the past to happen again." He muttered

{But still, your situation is really unexpected huh.}

"Yeah, I didn't think after that battle, I would reincarnate in this era. I wonder if my friends somehow got here too?" Kenneth muttered before shaking his head, "What am I thinking, even if they did, I don't even know if they retained their memories."

{You've got a point, your reincarnation itself is quite an experience, especially when you've got your memories intack.}

"Well, I'll stop thinking about it. I need to make a call first. I'll also get a house here too." Kenneth then took out a phone from his pocket and dialed a number.

"I need you to do something..." Kenneth spoke

In an unknown place, two man could be seen along side a being, flying in front, immobilized by something.

"Captain!" A white-haired man shouted.

A handsome red-haired man wearing some kind of armor and holding a glowing great sword turned towards the white-haired man and smiled sadly, "KEVIN, as your captain, here's my final order for you. Go away from this battlefield and continue our duty!"

"But captain..!!" Kevin tried rebutting but was interrupted by the red-haired man.

"KEVIN, listen to me, we could only immobilize her for a few minutes. Go now, it's your chance to escape. I will hold her off! That's an order!" The red-haired man shouted and turned away from KEVIN. His gaze came towards the being in front of him.

"Kuhh..!" KEVIN turned away as tears threaten to fall from his eyes, "Please take care, Captain Kenneth!" he said and ran away fast.

Kenneth, the red-haired man smiled before his expression hardened. " Partner, I'm ready!"

{...Are you sure? You would die, but if you ran away, you still have a chance to live.}

"Haha, how could I ran away from battle. My oath wouldn't let me do that. I pledged to protect those I care for and the world. Come on!" Kenneth laughed boisterously

{Very well, be ready partner!}

"Ohhh, bring it!" As he said so, blazing crimson flames soared from his whole body and his greatsword. His red hair turned white as the flames rapidly grew hotter.

*Crack!

Just then, the being immobilized broke free. She was a long white-haired woman staring condescendingly at the man.

"Hmph! I applaud you, insect." the woman spoke

"Tch, still arrogant as ever. Let's end this...!" The man exclaimed and dashed towards the woman with his greatsword.

"Haah...Haah...!" Kenneth woke up suddenly, "That dream again...!"

{...It still haunts you huh.}

"...Forget it, I should prepare for school. Today's our first day." Kenneth stood up from his bed and did his morning hygiene before going out of his room.

He then proceeded to go to Kiana's room and knocked on the door.

"Hey, tuna! Wake up!" Kenneth said but no reply came.

"Haah..." He sighed, "It's our first day on school. If you still don't get up, I won't cook for you from now. I'll also take away your games!"

Suddenly, the door opened and revealed Kiana with a messy hair. "I'm up, please don't take my games away and continue cooking for me." Kiana said

"Good, clean up first while I prepare breakfast." Kenneth started walking away from Kiana's room.

"Hmph, Kenneth, you idiot." Kiana muttered, "Trying to take away my games, no chance."

It has been a week after the two arrived in Nagazora, Kenneth arranged many things that week. He called some acquaintance of his and bought a house in the city. He also successfully get him and Kiana admitted in Chiba Academy.

Today was the day they will transfer in.

"Mmph Mmm...!"

The two are now eating their breakfast, as usual Kiana eats fast and like a glutton. Kenneth on the other hand just ate with his own pace, not rushing.

"Hey Kiana, are you sure you want to go with me to school? Aren't you trying to find your father?"

"*Gulp* No, I'll try and go to my aunt first. My father said to go to her when I encounter some problem."

"Oh? Is your aunt in Nagazora?" Kenneth asked curiously,

"No, but she's in the far east." Kiana shook her head.

"Okay, well good luck with that. Just tell me, I'll help if I can." Kenneth nodded

"Thanks a bunch!"
