Side Story 54: The Lifeblood Of The Planet

Bayonetta and the Loli brigade went back to the place of the venue and was dragging a beat up Loki. Bayonetta then threw him at Odin and wiped her hands with a handkerchief. Making the all father have a cramped smile on his face. As she was treating a god like garbage.

"Ein-nii, did you see? We made things explode!" Klee jumped up and down while Diona stared at him intently. With drool on her mouth.

"Yeah, you guys did swimmingly. What do you want?" Ein patted their heads and would reward them. Which definitely made them happier.

"A year's supply of coconuts milku." Qiqi put up her hands and was resolute in her decision. Ein gave a wry smile and gave her a little pouch with different kinds of coconut milk beverages that will last for a year.

"I want a book on chemistry? I don't know how to make my bombs go more boom." Klee thought about it seriously and Ein was proud of Klee's desire to improve.

"Uhh, can I stay with you? I... I have no home." Kanna got embarrassed and started fidgeting. Looking like she would cry any minute now.

"Ahhh, sorry about this Ein-sama. Kanna's been kicked out of her home because she played pranks." Tohru gave a wry smile and Kanna stared at him with upturned eyes that made him almost have a heart attack.

"Ugh, how can I resist that? My only weakness, of course dear. You can stay, my wives will definitely love a cinnamon roll like you." Ein patted her head and Kanna hugged him tightly. Rubbing her face on him so she could mark her scent onto him.

"Steak and fatty tuna!" Diona interrupted from the side and she couldn't take it anymore. She wanted some of that meaty goodness, now.

"Yes, yes. Here you go." Ein gave them their rewards. Ophis just asked for the usual chocolate milk and treats while Melusine curiously asked for the same.

"Come on now, go along and play then. Those adults over there will be talking about boring garbage like politics." Ein pointed at the Satans and Serafall pouted at him.

"Aye." The Loli brigade went to a corner and they started playing. Having a good time in general while eating good food.

"Hah, they're going to be good friends. I know it." Ein smiled warmly and thought that this is how it's supposed to be.

While he was admiring the view of how they could enjoy this peace because of their overwhelming power. Laplace pulled on his shirt and was showing him something from her laptop.

"Hey, dad. I found something interesting. Look." Laplace showed him and it was like an ocean of natural energy that flowed in the planet. Giving off tons of life and supplies most of the leylines in the world.

"Ahhhh. The life stream. You've found a pretty important part of this world, baby." Ein patted her head and Laplace gave a goofy grin.

"Hehe, so what is it dad?" Laplace was curious and the other kids looked at him too for an explanation. "The life stream huh. It's the lifeblood of the planet that gives life to everything here. When you die, you return to the life stream. But of course, we aren't locals. So we don't experience that kind of thing." Ein shrugged and just snapped his fingers to give them a more concrete idea of what it is.

"Woah... So it's this world's afterlife and one of the main sources of energy huh?" Anahaat was interested in it and would love to see how test subjects would react to it. She then contacted Mobius so they could have a little mother and daughter experiment.

"Speaking of this, wait for a second." Ein closed his eyes and felt all over the world to search for a certain someone.

In another part of the large planet that was the size of Jupiter. Ein felt a man's life flash before his eyes as storm clouds blot the light of the sun out. Rain started pouring and he was the only one left in a ruined battlefield.

Ein shed a tear and the kids have never seen him like that before. The servants were really surprised as well.

"Dad?" Tora immediately went to him and wrapped him with her tail. "It's nothing, baby. Just a memory of a great man. He's an honorable man who had nothing. Fought his way to the top and died a hero, but was forgotten." Ein reminisced.

"I'll be gone for a sec, you girls go and have some fun over here. Destroy a faction or two." Ein said goodbye and the girls thought that the man he talked about must really be someone above and beyond.

"Hey, do you think you know who he's talking about?" Anahaat was interested on the man Ein mentioned, but her sisters had no clue.

"Well, whoever that guy is. Dad has his respect, I don't know about you. But dad never takes anyone that seriously." Alexis commented and shrugged.

Earlier, at a vast desert in which there were only rocks. A young man with black hair and an x scar on his cheek playfully laughed at his blonde companion who looks like a vegetable. (pic)

He messed with the blonde's head for a bit, shaking it around. He then smiled confidently, even though there was a solemn atmosphere.

The black haired man then stood up and walked. Facing off an army of men with head gears that had three glowing eye-like protrusions on them.

"Boy oh boy, the price of freedom is steep..." He stared at the army with a carefree attitude, but deep inside. He knew that he will not be able to go to his beloved who was just a few kilometers away.

He brandished his comically large sword slowly and put it in front of him. "Embrace your dreams... And whatever happens. Protect your honor. As SOLDIER! COME AND GET IT!"

In his weakened and weathered body, he ran through a hail of bullets and rockets. Fighting a desperate battle of one man against an entire army for freedom.

The man fought a grueling battle. Exhausted from his months of travel, protecting his friend that was basically comatose, hunted down by an army that wanted them dead.

'Hello~ don't worry. It's not scary at all. I'll be here...' The man's memories flashed before his very eyes. Remembering that sweet girl's voice in his head.

His body was full of holes. His strong bones from the experimentations he went through to become a super soldier broke from the missiles and grenades he got hit by.

"Hah. Hah. Aerith, I'm here... Wait for me..." But he was met with three more soldiers. And no matter how strong he was as one of the best. His critically injured body along with his exhaustion from months of running away caught up to him.

They gunned him down and his body gave up. The mind was willing, but the flesh has finally broken down.

Somewhere in the city that was so close but so far away. A brunette looked at the sky when the rain started to pour. Signaling the fall of the curtains on a hero's journey. She then gasped, feeling her lover's life starting to go back to the lifestream.

Ein watched the events unfold and he sighed deeply. "Zack Fair, what a lovable idiot you are. I guess I'm not too late." He sent some Soulium nanobots to repair his body from the inside and a blonde guy started to crawl from behind a rock.

"Zack..." He looked at his friend and his fragile mind started to break. Being pushed to the limit.

"Cloud... For the both of us. You're gonna... Live. You'll be... My living legacy." Zack took his sword and offered it to him.

"My honor, my dreams. They're yours now." Zack gave one last smile and Cloud received the sword. He then closed his eyes as he drew upon one last breath.

Cloud wailed and just sat there for a moment. Looking at the supposed corpse of his friend.

"Good night." Cloud stood up and limped away with his sword. As the sun shone and parted the dreadful dark clouds in the sky.

After a few minutes and Cloud was far away. Footsteps resounded, puddles being stepped on was heard with the defeaning silence.

Music then started playing as a violin gave away a melancholic tune. "You're right, the price of freedom is steep. Far steeper than you think. I've paved the way for countless universes for it after all." Ein chuckled and Zack gasped, returning to life.

He then looked around immediately as he knew that he should've died. Zack then saw the familiar person that was standing right in front of him.

"Sephiroth!" Zack stood up and was ready to throw hands with Ein that looked just like Sephiroth, he was basically a twin of his that was just taller and had different colored eyes.

"Remember me?" Ein gave a smirk and Zack's face hardened. Ein then laughed at him, confusing the living hell out of him.

"The look on your face, hahhh. That was nice, this is gonna be fun." Ein smiled and Zack suddenly lost the desire to fight. As he might not be smart, but he sure as hell knew a person. And Sephiroth just wasn't the guy he's in front of.

"Who the hell are you? You're not Sephiroth, I know it..." Zack stared at him with suspicion and Ein gave a smirk.

"Me? I'm his big brother." Ein dropped a bomb on him and Zack didn't know what to say, it was so outlandish. But he was right there and he looked exactly the same as him. Except for the glowing green eyes that shone more brightly than mako eyes. The trademark of SOLDIER.

"Are you for real!?" Zack was stunned and not only was it believable. The proof was undeniable for him.

"Yes, I am too powerful. That's why I was never released to the world, but things change. And Shinra made a big mistake." Ein gave a grin that sent chills down Zack's spine.

'What the hell, this guy is damned dangerous. Sephiroth has nothing on this guy's vibes.' Zack was sweating and Ein patted him on the back.

"No need to get too nervous man, I won't kill you or anything. Kind of a waste when I just saved your ass." Ein shrugged and Zack sobered up.

"Wait, that's right! Where's Cloud!?" Zack looked for his blonde friend and Ein sighed. "You think he'll have a great time seeing me? Look at your reaction, my little bro burned down Niblheim to the ground. It would be counterproductive to show myself to him, no?" Ein sighed at his slowness and Zack cringed.

"Right... I'll find him in Midgar, Aerith... Wait for me, I'm coming for you." Zack looked at Midgar that was practically just a few kilometers away.

"Yes yes, you love birds should meet up. Hey, make me the godfather of your babies okay? I'm sure a chocobo isn't the only thing you'll be riding in Midgar." Ein gave a wink and wiggled his eyebrows.

Zack choked on his saliva that still had a bit of blood and squinted his eyes at him. "What? I fucking saved your life. How about you name your kid after me, eh? Einheri Fair. Now that baby's gonna be handsome as hell." Ein chuckled and Zack stared at him.

"Why are you looking at me like that? Want to name him Sephiroth or something? It's cool too, but he tried stabbing your ass." Ein laughed and Zack thought that was true.

"Anyways, go get em tiger." Ein slapped him on the back and Zack looked at him one more time. "Hey... Your name is Einheri? Will I meet you again? I swear I'll repay you." Zack looked at him seriously and Ein smiled.

"Just go back to Aerith and tell her you weren't fooling around with other girls. You can tell by the hair and our face. But I'm related to her as well. Wanna see a little trick?" Ein transformed to his female form and she was basically an Aerith that has silver hair and a dynamite body.

"Tadah~ see the resemblance? So you better take care of her, kid. I brought you back to life, I can easily take it back." Ein gave him a knowing smirk and Zack gulped.

"Yes ma'am! I mean, Sir! You know what, to hell with it all. Whatever the hell you are." Zack rolled his eyes and laughed at the absurdity of it all. He just died, what's a shapeshifting Sephiroth?

Ein then looked at him have a wide smile on his face. Seeing that he would see Aerith once again after years of experimentation in Nibelheim.

"Ahhh, now that is a love story that's much better than twilight." Ein gave a satisfied nod and watched Zack, practically run to Midgard in full speed.

Thanks for reading everyone, I might put this one on hold as writing for two stories will be a pain in the ass. Yes that's right, I'll be creating a story. And it will be centered in crisis core. You might know already and infer from this chapter. But it will be a spinoff in which Ein goes to the ff7 universe instead of the honkaiverse.

Anyways, ciao.
