143 Chapter 120: Odin and Friends Squad

Ein's squad kept on completing impossible missions like stealing candy from a baby. And a few years with that routine would surely bore immortals to death.

So they decided to bring in the whole gang to Schicksal as their new base. Except Mobius, she didn't have a good time in Princeton. And Mobius said thereafter that never again will she try to teach idiots. And the flame chasers raided Schicksal's base so they could dominate at every field there.

MEI and Vill-v took over the research department. While also giving some snippets to Anti-Entropy beforehand so they won't be in a disadvantage. And unfortunately, the now adult science squad competed well with Schicksal to be the world power.

And they were a nightmare as they did everything they wanted. Coming to meetings late, Vill pranking the other scientists. MEI bad mouthing the overseer and calling her an idiot whenever she gets caught by MEI doing a mistake.

Phyllis was going ham on the headquarters, selling things to everyone and sucking all the money out of them as she conveniently has something they needed every time.

SAKURA and Yae were completing missions at break neck speeds. Even outdoing Ein and Kallen's records, speedrunning every mission they could do at 100%.

Elysia was the mascot along with Griseo and they gave moral support to everyone in the base. While Kosma and Kalpas are sent to scorched earth missions that need tons of destruction.

Hua sighed at Ein's antics and shook her head at the chaos inside the HQ of Schicksal. "You do know that they all have quirks of their own right? Look at Schicksal, it's a mess." Hua saw Phyllis harassing a scientist, trying to sell him something like a shady dealer.

"It's fine. There's hardly anything to back in Japan anymore. So let them have their fun, though Nuwa and Fuxi are thriving in Japan as they create anime and manga aplenty." Ein chuckled and the twins were dominating the anime industry in Japan. Owning the majority of publishing companies and animating studios there.

"Umu, I'm glad they're having fun. But Xuanyuan embraced the new culture a bit too much." She smiled wryly as she saw her wearing a track suit as Xuanyuan said it was too comfortable.

"But seriously, can't you think of a better name for our squad Ein? Odin and friends?" She gave him the stink eye and he laughed. "It's fine, we're legendary too. Everyone looks at us and wants an autograph no?" He then waved at a group of young valkyries training and they swooned. Going all Kyaa and some even fainted.

"See? It's quite fun here." He chuckled and Hua sighed. Ein then patted her head and pinched her nose. "You're being too strict. You better stop that or I'm going to make you train with Sushang." He said to her and Hua paled immediately.

She knew how her disciple trained, and it wasn't pleasant. "Uhh, please don't. I have arthritis and I'm getting old you see?" She joked as Ein just stared at her.

"You lack comedic timing Hua. Such a shame, it's like I didn't even raise you." He went dramatic and Hua pinched her sides. "Oh you, shut up. I'm not born to be a comedian okay?" She pouted at him and they parted ways, completing their tasks for the day.

Ein then saw the young Adelheid Schariac training with a heavy lance. It was impressive, as a girl that was only 5 years old is already capable of lifting hundreds of kilograms as a weapon.

"You're working hard aren't you? Remember me, little Adelheid?" He sneaked up on her and whispered. "Ahhh!" She dropped the lance on her hand and it landed on her toes that were unfortunately not protected by boots.

"Fuck! Son of a bitch!" She cursed like a sailor and put her hands on her foot. "Woah... Where did you learn that kid?" He was honestly surprised as she swore like she knew what it means.

"Ahhh, Mr. Ein. I... I heard it from T.V. Yeah, aunt Theresa was watching a show and the people there said that whenever they got hurt." She innocently said, but she started sweating heavily.

'Great, he's here... This guy, did he come from the past era or something? He just went in and took every single flame chaser inside Schicksal. Where's the thrill? I wanted to see them and talk to them in the Elysian Realm!' She grumbled inside her mind and Ein patted her head.

"Where's Cecilia, you guys are inseparable?" He then gave her two bags of cookies and she grabbed it immediately. Falling in love with his cooking the moment she tasted it. And Cecilia would always cheer whenever Adelheid came home with treats.

"She's at home. She just received some experiments from the overseer. It isn't really debilitating, she just doesn't feel well right now. Although I received it just fine." She frowned, remembering the overseer that was now female.

And she thought that by presenting herself. Cecilia wouldn't receive the experiments she experienced in Canon. She was dead wrong, Tilie was still interested in her and two strong valkyries is always better than one.

The young Cecilia then appeared and saw a bag on Adelheid's hand. Her eyes glimmered and she received strength when she saw it. "Ahh! Ein-nii's treats!" She quickly ran to them and snatched one of the bags of treats.

She then ate them slowly to savor it. As she never could have enough of them. "Ein-nii! Your treats are the best in the world!" Cecilia smiled at him and he patted her head.

"Is that right Cecilia? Your sister didn't want to share you know? She told me that I should keep quiet so you won't know she received two bags of treats." He was capable in the art of war, and Adelheid couldn't retort. Shocked out of her mind that he would turn Cecilia against her.

"I knew it! You cheater! Ein-nii, don't give her any more treats, hmph." She turned her back on Adelheid and Ein smirked at her. Adelheid's mouth opened and closed like a fish and was aghast.

"C-cecilia... You don't believe your nee-san? I didn't steal anything from you! I swear!" She was against overwhelming odds. "Remember Cecilia, liars don't do it only once. They do it again and again. So you never trust liars if you've caught them okay?" He gave her some milk tea as well, that she absolutely loved.

And she narrowed her eyes at Adelheid. 'The audacity of this man! My cute little Cecilia hates me now!' Adelheid was panicking and Ein had enough fun.

"Just kidding Cecilia. You should share with your sister okay? She even gives you extra cookies. I saw it multiple times whenever I give her your share too." Cecilia then smiled brightly, as Adelheid sighed in relief.

"You should enjoy your childhood more kid. Your sister isn't going to be there to be your only friend forever, she'll move away when you grow up. Call you less often, send you letters less and less. Even forgetting about you at times. So don't have narrow vision."

He noticed that Adelheid was unnaturally attached to Cecilia. And it was the making of a splendid cliche villain back story. "I won't forget about Addy! We're the bestest friends!" Cecilia shouted and Adelheid smiled at her.

But she thought about it when she finally gets together with Ziggy. She thought he was right and she needs more connections. As well as emotional support as Cecilia wouldn't be there forever.

"You got a good look on you Addy, think well and hard kid." He patted her head and she thought it felt nice. As she was an only child and thought that was having a big brother would feel like.

"M'kay." She replied succinctly and decided to compare the timelines when she returns home. As she thought she has collected enough data to make a detailed comparison.

And so she could prepare well for the upcoming war. "Mr. Ein. Can you teach me? Along with Cecilia, we're stronger than we look. And we need training." Adelheid asked and she bit her lip. She thought she would be magically be able to fight when her stats increase. But that was wishful thinking as she had a rude awakening when weaker valkyries made her eat dirt.

"Well, call me Ein-nii 1st, then we'll talk Addy." He crossed his arms and Cecilia nodded in agreement. Crossing her arms too. "Ugh, okay... Ein-nii." Adelheid cringed from calling him that and he smirked.

"That's it. Come on then, I'll introduce you to the team." He then held their hands and went to the lounge of the Odin and Friends squad.

"Ohh? Hi~ Nice to meet you!" Elysia greeted them and Adelheid almost melted from hearing. As well as seeing Elysia in person.

"They're the Schariac twins right? Nice to see you kids." Eden smiled at them while holding a glass of wine.

"Hmm, you adopting some kids again Ein? But their parents aren't dead yet." MEI fixed her glasses and Adelheid frowned when she saw Dr. MEI. As she heard her blunt ass words.

"Of course they aren't dead yet silly. I'm just introducing them to everyone." He pushed them forward and Adelheid thought that every woman in the flame chasers had huge milkers and had a dynamite body.

Making her look onto her own and wish she would grow up having at least half of theirs as back then, she was like a cutting board.

"Ohh? If Ein introduced you to us, then you two might be interesting." Vill-v walked up to them and observed them more closely. Cecilia did a peace sign and smiled, but Addy got nervous as Vill-v might play a magic trick on her and her tricks aren't necessarily safe for your own body.

"Mou~ Stop bothering them guys, let the kids introduce themselves." Elysia gave them space and Cecilia happily introduced herself. "Thanks pretty nee-chan. I'm Cecilia Schariac, pleased to meet you!" She curtsied and gave an enthusiastic greeting.

Then everybody looked at Adelheid and she was getting more nervous. Kalpas was burning holes through her, staring at her menacingly, along with Kosma and Griseo.

"My name is Adelheid Schariac, please take care of me." She bowed and Eden decided to sing a little for them.

Cecilia and Addy listened to her voice, losing their selves to the music as Ein added a melody. They then received some money from all of them, now having a bag of cash in their hands to buy what they want. Just like kids that came from the house of their rich aunts and uncles in christmas. Eden even gave them gold bars.

"Thanks nee-chans! Nii-chans!" Cecilia waved around a bar of gold and Adelheid thought they were crazy, giving around wads of cash and gold bars to kids.

"Thank you everyone, we will be on our way. We'll be scolded if we are away from home for too long." Addy pulled Cecilia with her and Ein gave them some cones of ice cream.

Cecilia loved it and immediately finished it then and there, while Addy thought she got to get out as quickly as possible as she knew how dangerous all of them are. Using observe on the chasers. She saw that they were all monsters, capable of ripping apart anything that has appeared in the game except the herrscher of the end.

And after she got back home, Adelheid prepared a glass of milk for Ein's cookies and had a notebook out. Starting to write everything that she knew about the original timeline.

"1st, the only flame chasers active right now should be Kevin and he's supposed to be still in the sea of quanta, Fu Hua doesn't count. Everyone else is either dead or missing. 2nd Dr. MEI should've died of honkai corruption after the failed battle against the 14th herrscher when Selene overheated and exploded. Stunning her on the moon until everybody could enter project Sanctuary."

She then thought of how these crucial events were changed. "It must be the work of Ein-san. He has that level 100 mafia boss vibes. And I have absolutely no clue what he can do. Except that he is the unanimous leader of the MOTH squad."

Addy agonized and speculated what his role in all of it was. "3rd, Theresa is supposed to be still young today and she would be Cecilia's best friend. But she's already 26 here and has adequate mastery of Oath of Judah. 4th, Anti-Entropy is a powerhouse that could compete with Schicksal on equal grounds. They struggled against Schicksal in the original, hiding and fighting with guerilla tactics."

Anti-Entropy was weaker as far as she could remember. And they even lost many bases against Schicksal with their skirmishes.

"And most importantly... I saw him kiss every single one of the ladies! What the hell!? This is unacceptable! This is Yuri Impact 3? Where's the yuri? Kallen and Sakura were horni lesbians in the original!" She protested to no one in particular.

She then breathed in deep and calmed herself down. "Whew, calm down me. At least Sakura and Kallen are still alive. Sakura must be in Japan right now, I must travel to Yae village in the future and see if she is still available for taking. Kukuku~ You can't get everyone Ein-san." Adelheid made plans in her head and thought the wonderful Miko with exposed side boobs is still single.

"I mean, he is hot. But how did he reign them in like that? Especially Aponia and Vill-v. They're hella crazy, not to mention Vill-v's numerous personalities. But when I died, the story was at Kolostein and Elysian realm. I'll just have to wait and see then." She sighed and hoped that they would help with the incident in Babylon labs, as squad Snow wolf would perish as the result of the war. And she can't let that happen.

"I can't rely on them, with their quirks and strength right now. They probably do whatever they want, and we will be at their mercy if we are too weak." Adelheid frowned, she thought of talking to Theresa in order to increase the experiments on herself and amass honkai energy as much as possible.

She then started training again with her spare time. Using her lance to practice as a blunt weapon. She entered her dungeons and grinded levels like a madwoman. Bashing zombie heads as that was the first dungeon available to her. "Uwoooh! Taste my drill that would pierce the heavens!"

She shouted chuuni lines as it was always her dream to say those aloud while fighting. And with her strong body, she could do it now. Although it was lacking special effects and she just stabbed enemies with her lance. Still lacking control and enough volume of the Schariac holy blood to use it in battle.

Adelheid and Cecilia trained under Ein. And they had Theresa as their companion, although she's much older than the twins. Due to her small stature, they outgrew her quite quickly and the twins viewed her more as a friend. Although Theresa is more mature now, she is still childish so they didn't really view her as an adult.

"Okay, you guys have been my students for a long time. It's high time I test you for your strength." The 3 students nodded and thought they've come a long way.

They all prepared for combat. Theresa even brought Oath of Judah with her, while Adelheid wielded Abyss flower. Her little plan worked and Ottilie was more interested in her. But Cecilia still underwent experiments to become a so called *herrscher killer*

Cecilia became the back up while Adelheid was the main weapon of Schicksal and was being groomed to be the next paladin after Reanna Brigantia.

'Heh, I'll kick Ein-san's ass with this baby. Abyss flower is hella op!' Adelheid thought she would at least give him a hard time. She was wielding the Key of Creation after all.

"Okay, we will now commence your final test. I want you to beat this little droid here." Ein created an ELF of him and it waved at them. "So I just gotta beat them up boss?" The ELF asked and cracked its knuckles.

"Umu, go Ein Jr. I choose you! Use beat em up!" Ein gave orders and the ELF cracked its neck and crouched on the ground. The twins didn't knew what was coming. But Theresa had felt the small fists of the droid drill into her sides once. Breaking her ribs and launching her like a bullet.

"Dodge! And I mean it!" Theresa brandished Judah and prepared a field to bind the ELF as much as possible. Adelheid knew the capabilities of ELF's. But what she didn't though, is that they are radically different from each other depending on how they are made.

"Okay boss, I'll beat em up real good." Ein jr. Then tensed his legs and released all the energy in them like a spring. Arriving at Theresa's location and he kicked her like a ball to Cecilia. Breaking her ribs again and she crashed onto the younger sister of the twins.

"Cecilia!" Adelheid threw abyss flower like a javelin to Ein jr. But she was gobsmacked at his display of martial prowess. The droid kicked it while it was travelling mid air. Making the weapon spin, then he kicked it back to her at double the speed.

Before it hit her, Theresa blocked it with Judah and Addy saw her panting heavily. "Nee-chan. We should do the combo." Cecilia said and Addy nodded, she then split abyss flower in two and she wielded black abyss.

While Cecilia used white flower and started to heal Theresa's injury. "Ohhh? You guys have been practicing something huh?" Ein was pleased that they practiced on their own without him and created a trump card.

Addy spun the spear like weapon that would disintegrate almost anything and she pointed it at Ein jr. "Prepare yourself!" Addy ran it down and the ELF just provoked her by standing still.

Addy stabbed her weapon at him, intent on turning the ELF into swiss cheese. It chuckled at her and smirked. "You having double vision girl? You suck at aiming you know?" It provoked her and she fumed.

"Take this then!" She used the miasma of the 6th herrscher in black abyss and spread it around herself. As she was immune to honkai energy and it doesn't really affect her.

Theresa then split oath of Judah and the javelins flew to the skies and rained down on Ein jr. "Hmph, weak." It started parrying all the blows and it made Theresa curse at the unfair little bot.

She then wielded the chains and they snaked around the area. Trying to bind him down as Adelheid attacked, leading the ELF to a trap.

Cecilia then threw white flower and Addy used it to her advantage as Ein jr. dodged, but she caught it and combined them together again and sprouted vines, she caught his ankles and Theresa's chains successfully binded Ein jr.

"Hehe, not so smug now aren't cha? Now give up quietly. We've won Ein-san!" Adelheid cheered, but the ELF laughed and looked at her with a smirk. "You're pretty smart girl, but what if your enemy is not only stronger? But smarter as well?" Ein jr. Pulled on the chains with his small arms and Judah flew away from Theresa.

He then used it as a blunt weapon like a morning star and absolutely destroyed them. Ein jr. then laughed boisterously and used Judah's chains to bind them all together and slammed them to the ground.

"Ugh, damn... That ELF is too strong, it didn't even use weapons." Adelheid commented and groaned. Sure that she had a couple of few broken bones.

"Ein-nii. That droid is impossible to beat. It can read us like a book!" Theresa protested and glared at Ein jr. that looked at them smugly.

"It's stronger than us 3 combined Ein-nii. I must have compensation for this unfair fight." Cecilia negotiated for treats and she thought this was a good opportunity to ask for them.

"That's my girl Cecilia, you should always take advantage of the situation and get as much resources as possible." He patted her head and gave her a huge bag of sweets.

"Yay! It seems I've won Addy, kukuku~ You don't have a bag of treats. And I do." Cecilia had a smug smile on her face while Adelheid began to drool when the aroma of the heavenly treats reached her. Along with Theresa that was clearly holding back her Kaslana urges.

"You both get a cookie each for effort." Ein gave them a thicc cookie oozing with chocolate inside. And they thought that was good enough, but Cecilia deliberately counted the contents of her bag to brag.

"Okay, you twins have graduated my combat for dummies classes. If you want to apply for the basics, then you should contact Hua okay? But here's a gift for doing great." He gave them battle suits that were made of Soulium. As Adamantine ones are going to be overkill. (pics)

Cecilia's eyes sparkled at the battle suit while Adelheid scrutinized it with observe. 'Soulium all purpose combat dress, Schariac edition. Uses ambient honkai energy to charge a shield. And can consume user's to strengthen the Schariac's holy blood and create more of it.' Addy went wide eyed at the suit. It was basically a custom made divine key for the Schariac house.

And the revelation cemented her doubts that Ein was from the previous era and he made tons of changes to the canon. 'Thankfully though, he didn't let any of the flame chasers loose in the world. Or let Dr. MEI create more projects.' She was still thankful as even a single chaser roaming around would cause a disaster.

"Thanks Ein-nii! We'll train harder." Cecilia cheered and hugged her suit tightly. He patted their heads, then he smiled. "That's what I want to hear. Now go and try them out at home, you'll like it I'm sure."

The twins then went home and immediately tried their suits in their room. They were now permanently in Schicksal and Cecilia even calls it her home now.

'Ein-san's identity runs deeper than I could imagine. He's not only the mafia boss, he's also the boss of the big and bad flame chasers.' Adelheid wondered what would happen and she patiently waited for Schicksal to bait Anti-Entropy with Cecilia or her to smoke them out.

'We're almost 18, the war is near and I'm not prepared for it at all.' Addy agonized as she was definitely strong, stronger than Theresa even. But the hax of the 2nd herrscher while souped up by multiple herrscher cores would definitely end badly when they fight.

So she waited for Cecilia to sleep. She then downed some stimulants to keep her awake and focused. Entering a dungeon that would surely test her mettle. One where every single enemy is an emperor class honkai beast.

It was a decision she thought about carefully, and with Ein's suit at her disposal. Adelheid grasped abyss flower tightly and breathed in deep.

"I might die doing this, but nothing ventured, nothing gained." She saw Ganesha, Parvati, Imperators, all kinds of emperor class honkai beasts in the distance. And they suddenly locked on to her, noticing the human.

She brandished the divine lance and focused honkai energy on her whole body to the maximum. Abyss flower started shining black and white, accepting her as the new wielder.

"Be exp on my hud you damned honkai beasts! Die!" She ran at them and threw the lance like a warhead. It then exploded and deleted numerous honkai beasts with the blast of white and black. Disintegrating anything it touched and left a big, clean hole that looked like it was perfectly scooped out.

Addy then panted as she ran low on honkai energy. Being immune to it is different from having lots of it after all. She then cut her wrist and the Schariac's holy blood entered her battle suit. Dyeing it crimson red.

"Fairest Schariac, maiden of Schicksal. Purest of heart. Your beauty, eternal." Adelheid raised abyss flower to the sky and started to accumulate blood.

"Flora abyssal, a key of the past. Take my blood and end your fast." A lance of blood formed over the divine lance and she aimed it at the skies.

"Sacer Sanguis, clear a path and let me end my enemies. As a maiden of Schariac that has endured, steadfast. Lilium Sanguineum!"

The lance of blood flew to the skies and when it reached the peak of its trajectory. The holy blood of house Schariac bloomed and turned into crimson lilies. Raining upon the lands as honkai beasts began to get weak and went sluggish.

"Hah, hah. Good thing it works, or I'll surely get overwhelmed." Adelheid felt faint, but was ecstatic that her blood could neutralize honkai energy. It was the valuable trait of the Schariacs, most of them died due to overuse of it and the Kaslanas got burned by Shamash or their creed.

"Now let's start!" She then ran like the wind and started her grind. To protect everything that is beautiful in the world.
