22 The thoughts of a Sentient game character (Interlude)

(E/D: Daddy Editor is here boys. How about a "sensational" hug.)

Void. An infinite expanse of boundless nothingness.

In a certain part of the void, a classroom could be seen floating and going along with the flow without getting destroyed.

The classroom was mostly empty, containing only a table and two chairs positioned opposite of one another.

On one of the chairs, a pretty girl sat there staring ahead in a daze.

The girl had emerald green eyes, with coral brown hair that were made into a ponytail, supported by a white ribbon on top of her head.

She wore a Japanese high school uniform, while her slender legs were covered with black stockings up to her thighs.

[Devourer (Admin) finished streaming and got 130 points]

Monika stared blankly at the notification in front of her, trying her best to digest the recent information.

Different worlds, people getting reincarnated in other worlds, supernatural and magical powers that can destroy the world....

She felt that recently, her world view has been thrown upside down.

She just wanted to communicate with people from reality, people from beyond the little prison that is called a 'game'.

She got her wish, but it seems she got more than she bargained for.

... She realized that beyond the game, she was just a small ant that could be crushed by whoever possesses a silver of supernatural power.

Even if she was basically god inside her own domain.

Not to mention that the Chat Room actually connects to fictional worlds.

Monika found it weird how Adam knew her, while the other members didn't.

Since the other members were anime characters, then is Adam like herself? Does he also know that he is just an anime character following a script?

Or maybe... Since three other members died and reincarnated into another world, does that mean that the same happened to Adam, and he went into a world that he knew of?

If he knows who she is and also knows that the other members are anime characters, but he also knows that he is in an anime himself, then doesn't that mean he is a person from beyond the game world? Doesn't that mean that he is a real person?

No, Monika shook her head.

What is real? And what is not real in the first place?

A real person in her mind should be a person from the real world, and that person should know about her and the game she is in.

So, a person she thinks is real is just a person who knows about her and the game?

... She was in an existential crisis just thinking about this.

Monika was now doubting herself. She closed her eyes, deep in thought.

..

[Devourer: Don't think too much about it, Kazuma. So what if you are in an anime? So what if my reincarnation is just an idea for a fan fiction by some guy? In the end, it doesn't matter. We make our own choices and grasp fate in our own hands, although I'm not philosopher, but I think that knowing you are in an anime is more liberating, because with that knowledge, you can change your fate]

.

..

...

'Ah, that's right.'

She opened her eyes with a determined expression on her face, a fire burning in her eyes.

She doesn't care what's real and what is not, all that matters is what she wants.

Adam's stream was eye-opening for her. Even though he didn't seem to have many difficulties, she knew for a fact that this was because Adam himself was strong.

If a sealed and severely weakened Herscher that is not suited for combat could do that, then what can the others who are specialized for combat do?

She realized that even if she wanted to go to Adam's world and meet him, she would need power, personal power.

And the only way to get power right now in her desolate world is...

[Gacha]

Monika didn't want to bet her future on luck, but what other choice did she have?

Her eyes slid to the currency that will be used for her power up.

[Points: 212]

She admits that she was quite... lucky, to get so many points in approximately a month's time.

Still, she had two chances. If she doesn't get great stuff, then she will need others' help on getting stronger.

She went to the gacha section, and spent the point without any delay.

[You got the Tear Stigma(Upgraded)(The legend of the legendary heroes)]

She didn't bother checking her reward, she just continued spending her last points.

[You got Solid Script Magic(Fairy Tail)]

She looked at the two notifications in contemplation.

She didn't know if what she got was good or not, the description of those rewards was lackluster, to say the least.

Knowing she wouldn't find out about the specifics of what she got from the gacha, she didn't waste any more time and redeemed/integrated with them.

She flinched as her eyes closed automatically by themselves, an immense pain flowing through her upper frontal part of her head.

She gritted her teeth as she endured the pain, trying to convince herself that this was necessary to get stronger.

After a few moments, the pain receded and Monika opened her eyes...

And the world felt so much clearer to her. To make a comparison, it felt like it was going from 240 to 8k quality.

In fact, she could understand and comprehend more. She could see the exact structure of the wooden table in front of her, everything from the smallest atoms and molecules that it was made out of, to even beyond that, she could even see the exact code that makes up its existence.

She brought up her hand in the air as a strange console shimmered over from her fingers. This was an example of her exercising her authority over this world.

With the console, she summoned a mirror.

A mirror manifested in front of her, she peered in the mirror in order to observe her eyes and...

Her sclera turned a red color, while her irises turned a magenta color that had a five pointed star revolving around a golden symbol where her pupils were previously present.

She turned her head to the other side of the classroom, and tried her other reward.

'Fireball'

A ball of fire materialized in existence as it was automatically flung in a random direction.

Monika stared at the spot where the fire materialized.

The five pointed star on her eyes rotated fast around the golden symbol as she digested what she just analyzed.

She didn't summon a fireball with her console, no, while that is indeed possible, she wasn't skilled enough and didn't have enough knowledge to do something like that.

Her second reward, that Solid Script Magic, made whatever she wrote into reality.

... She once again summoned her console, as she typed 3 lines of code in a quick manner.

A ball of fire manifested in front of her, before it instantly flickered out of existence.

Monika felt a smile creeping up on her face as she realized the potential of what she got from the gacha.

Manifest various types of spells and magic into existence by using Solid Script Magic, then analyze how they were manifested with her new eyes, and then do the exact same without that magic's help by using her own console.

If she could create a table and a mirror, then shouldn't she be able to similarly create magic by analyzing its entire existence and then reproducing it through the console?

That's... Quite powerful.

Wait...

If she analyzed the existence of Herrschers in Adam's world, then couldn't she reproduce their powers and then delete them so those beings couldn't threaten Adam anymore?

Although he previously mentioned that she couldn't do it, she was confident.

She just needs to gather the required points to travel to his world, and get powerful enough that even if that so-called final Herscher who could destroy the earth came, she would be able to defeat her.

'Water ball'

'Earth spike'

'Chain lightning'

'Ice spear'

As various spells manifested around her through her newly acquired magic, Monika analyzed their entire existence for the sole goal of understanding magic on a deeper scale, and reproducing it through her own powers.
