20 Meeting the Herrscher of Corruption
Adam was currently far outside the village
He was looking intently at what seemed like a bear infected with honkai energy
The bear was pale with purple outlines all over it's body, although it isn't a complete honkai beast, it's still dangerous
The bear hasn't noticed him yet. Of course, he had hidden his Magicules and honkai energy so well, that unless a Herscher who was proficient in honkai energy came directly in front of him, he wouldn't be sensed
[I'm a slime, so what?: So, Adam. What's the plan?]
[Exhibitionist: How do you plan to draw her out?]
Adam looked at the messages and scoffed
[Devourer: Rimuru, remember what we did in that cave?]
[I'm a slime, so what?: What w-we d-d-did.....?]
'What a perveted slime' He chuckled as he realized what the slime's thought process was
[Schizophrenic spider: Suspicious....]
[Devourer: You know? What we did when we encountered monsters?]

Adam didn't reply, he just raised his hand, palm facing the bear and.....

A cyclone of a purplish-abyssal color manifested from his palm, growing longer and longer, until it reached and engulfed the bear that just noticed him
But it was too late, for when the cyclone disappeared, the bear was nowhere to be found

Adam lowered his hand and smiled in satisfaction
He decided that instead of killing them and letting them dissipate, he would directly devour them with Gluttony so that the honkai energy contained in their bodies wouldn't go to waste
[Advocate of gender equality: That was so fucking cool!]
[Exhibitionist: Is this like my power of destruction? Why is yours cooler....?]
[Schizophrenic spider: I'm envious.... With this, it would be easier to eat monsters...]
Adam looked at the messages, but he didn't reply as he sensed a lot more honkai beasts coming his way
A predatory grin emerged on his face as he looked towards the beasts in anticipation
"I think it's time for a massacre"

A cyclone of purplish color once again emerged, shallowing 5 honkai beasts at the same time along with it

Another 10 beasts popped in front of him, ready to attack him
Adam stared at them with calmness in his glowing golden eyes
He got used to them. Although the first time he fought a honkai beast, he was nervous, but now he realized that he was too powerful for these mere beasts
So....
Adam raised both of his hands towards the beasts, a white line of thread extending from all of his fingers
The beasts roared at him and went to attack him, they didn't even bother to dodge the white thread that stuck to their bodies
Adam suddenly clapped his hands
The pair of thread stuck in each body of these beasts pulled them all together in one spot
With one hand still raised, he watched coldly as the cyclone of violet darkness devoured those beasts
[Analysis time significantly reduced]
He smiled in satisfaction as he heard the mechanical voice of Great Sage
He guessed that the Herscher needs to actively use her honkai energy to create these honkai beasts to attack him
And because of gluttony, he can devour that honkai energy without any delay, thus stealing the Herscher's energy and making her weaker
[Exhibitionist: I knew it! You are actually the strongest member!]
"Um?" Adam frowned as he looked at the silly girl's message
He didn't know what has gotten into her head, did that pathetic display of his made her think he was strong?
Honestly, he knew for a fact that even without any training, Rias could just disintegrate these honkai beasts with her PoD
That probably wouldn't work that well for emperor honkai beasts, but for those weaklings, it would be a piece of cake
Adam knew that he was the weakest member after Kazuma
He didn't count Monika, because if she had Admin access/commands in other worlds, then she would be overpowered
He had training in martial arts, he had a body many times stronger than a human, and he had a lot of unique skills that have a lot of potential in the future
But he wouldn't get arrogant, just because he had a lot of potential didn't mean that he will stagnate
Still, he had his own pride, so even if it's not true, it gave him a little satisfaction that Rias complimented him like that
[Advocate of gender equality: Hey! Is something wrong? Why did those beast stop appearing?]
Adam frowned as he looked at Kazuma's message
It's not because he was annoyed, but because he felt massive amounts of honkai fluctuations around him
He watched as reality around him shattered like glass
...And promptly found himself transported to another place entirely
"Where... Am I?" A familiar voice ringed beside him
Adam looked over "Huh? Sakura?" He said, surprised
He noticed that above her head, animal ears were present. She also had her sword sheathed on her waist
The miko looked at him in both surprise and confusion
"Tempe-Asterios-san? You are here too?" Sakura said more to herself than him
"I was so close! so close to possessing you!" A corrupted voice sounded through the place they were in
Adam and Sakura both turned their towards the voice
They saw a 2 tailed giant fox that had flames all over it's body
[Exhibitionist: A Yokai!?]
[Advocate of gender equality: What the fuck?!]
The fox glared at Adam "But then you bastard had to come along and ruin it!!" The Fox's angry voice roared towards their surroundings
[Schizophrenic spider: This creature looks dangerous....]
Adam boredly glanced at her "So you wanted to possess a 16 year old boy? Huh, You old hag? Are you some kind of perverted pedophile?" He said to her in a mocking voice
Actually, he wasn't as calm as he looked. He panicked a little since he didn't expect the Herscher's response to be so fast. As weak as this Herscher was, it was still the first time he was confronting one
Still, the fact that all his abilities perfect countered hers did him some confidence
[Sentient game character: Adam.... I don't think you should....]
"You fucking human!! I will kill you and then take Sakura's body!" The fox once again roared at him, enraged at his insults
The Herscher threw a gigantic fireball at him as it shifted its sight to Sakura, confident that the fireball could take care of him
"Haah, Herschers never learn" Adam sighed in exasperation as he left the fireball come close to him
When it came close to him, he did his signature move
He raised his palm as he let his gluttony swallow the fireball
As the energy of the fireball entered his body, he couldn't help but notice that he seemed to permanently get stronger
His handsome face showed an enlightened expression as he hurriedly brought up his skill description
[Gluttony: Predation, Stomach, Mimicry, Isolation, Receive, Provide, Vampirism, Devour]
He focused his sight on the last 2
[Vampirism: Acquire a target's skills and abilities by drinking their blood
Devour: Allows the user to steal various types of energy from a target, increasing his own reserves and becoming stronger]
That's Vishnu's devour specialty, and it seems it was fused into gluttony
He sighed as he refocused on the battlefield, leaving it behind as he couldn't do much about it as he now had more important matters to attend to

I don't want to drag the Sakura samsara chapters too much, as Adam is already too strong for him to be in any real danger
Besides, stealing honkai energy from a Herscher who is already weak and low on energy will definitely make her enraged
