Jaelah smirked. She knows her daughter's personality better than Mano does.

There is no way she'll get what she wants by staying with him.

"You think your father, who has been so unwilling to marry Kamryn off the Prince Thallan, will help you marry who you want?... Heh, why don't you ask him?"

Her mother is right. The person who she wants to be with the most right now is Prince Thallan. However, she can't say that to her father nor her mother.

But...Thallan and I are already together, do I need my father's or mother's help with this?

"Dad...I'll stay with you."

"W-What! Lula!? No!"

"Lula, you understand that I will no longer tolerate any more of your backstabbing and schemes towards your other family members."

"Yes, I understand. You can trust me, dad." Lula smiled.

Hmph, as long as those two stays out of my way, I'll let them live in peace...for now.
