253 Meeting of the Minds

Later in the evening, Valindra left her dorm room, feeling more anxious than she ever have before.

 From the time she asked Mika for help, she has been running around trying to buy her way out of the arena. However, Valindra's plan had a flaw. She forgot that ninety-five percent of the school's population is made up of wealthy, elite families. Who at the academy didn't have money?

When the last of her challengers laughed in her face, Valindra knew then and there that she was going to have to fight in the arena.
