Mika laughed out loud at her father's response.

She spent a lot of time, trying to coach her mother and father on how to be passive aggressive. So at hearing all her hard work bear fruit, she couldn't contain to excitement.

The clan leaders looked at one another than back at Lord Mano. The atmosphere in the hall turned serious.

"Lord Mano, it would do you and your people well to not be so stubborn in your ways. The Steppe is a very big place with many clans…." Another clan leader spoke up.

"Oh. Did I asked for something too difficult from the clan leaders here tonight?" Mano asked back. The soldiers around the dining stepped forward, showing themselves to the guests.

No one answered.

They didn't want to wait for when Lord Mano and his people built up a solid foundation in the city. They wanted a piece of the city now.
