20 Little Experiment (2)

"What is it!?"

"This?... This is your get out of death free card. If you swallow the liquid you get to stay on this ship, and if you don't...well, let's just say each of you have your own sleep cell that can join Lila outside..."

"Wha- You can't do this! We are heroes! Everyone on board knows this." Kara exclaimed.

Fear of what was in that bottle overrode Kara's fear of the Commander. She started to struggle underneath the soldier's hands. Secretary Jun came in front of Kara holding the bottle.

"So what if they think you guys are heroes? You think you have control over this fleet and everyone on board. Just as easily as I ejected Lila, I can eject you. If you don't believe me go ahead, cry for help..."

Pace looked around the room staring into the eyes of the two soldiers and secretary Jun's, hoping they will be willing to help them. However, all he saw was cold eyes staring back at him.

"HELP! Someone is trying to murder me! HELP! Anyone...someone...please, HELP ME!" Unlike Pace, who has given up, Kara still thought she had a chance.

Screaming at the top of her lungs, Kara yelled until her throat went sore, and even then she continued to croak out her pleads for help.

"Is that it? Yeah? Then let us continue." Thomas gesture for Jun to continue.

Popping the top of the bottle in his hand, Jun made the soldier holding Kara tilt her head back. Pinching her nose, Jun made it impossible her Kara not to open her mouth. Pouring all the liquid down her throat, Jun covering her mouth and began massaging her throat to get get her to swallow. Jun's movements were so fluent that by the time Kara thought to spit it out it already settled in her stomach.

Kara's eyes bulged at the feel of the green liquid as it traveled down her thorax and settled in her stomach.

Pace watched all this in horror, never did it cross his mind that the Commander would do something like this to them.

"Release her." Thomas had the soldiers holding Kara let go of her arms.

With arms no longer holding her in place, Kara fell forward and she stuck fingers down her throat trying to vomit up whatever was put into her body.

However, no matter how many times she tried, she couldn't get anything to come up. Panicking, she beat at her stomach, doing anything she could to get that liquid out of her body.

It was during this moment that she felt something. The only thing she could use to describe it was a sugar rush. Heat radiated from her stomach and spread outwards to all her extremities. She felt a fluctuation of power flowing into her arms and legs.

This feeling was so comfortable it made her laugh.

She was on a high.

And then she crashed...

The heat quickly intensified, her body was burning from the inside out.

Kara's body contorted this way and that, sweat and tears mixed together to run down her face and body. Her screams renewed in the room, as everyone could hear cracking sounds coming from her body. Her bones and muscles were breaking and tearing apart...

Pace never seen anything like this, Kara's body was bend in ways he never thought were possible. And the sounds, he was so afraid he pissed his pants.

Thomas watched and waited with a stony expression.

The effects of the liquid on Kara's body was one he had never seen before during the previous trails, this pegged his interest.

"Maybe you guys have some use after all..." Thomas muttered.

This could only be heard by secretary Jun as everyone else's attention was solely focused on Kara.

Wanting to see how Pace's body would react to the liquid, Thomas told Jun to continue on with the experiment.

Sensing movement from the side, Pace looked over to see secretary Jun coming at him with the second bottle. Knowing what will happen to him if he drinks that liquid, Pace struggled vigorously to free himself.

However, with trained officers holding him in place, Pace soon followed in Kara's footsteps.

Pace and Kara rolled around on the floor for hours. Blood seeping from every crevices to soaked into the office carpet. Their bowels had both been emptied creating a foul odor in the room. It was both a disgusting and fascinating sight to see.

This was the longest Thomas has ever seen someone last on the liquid.

He remembered the first time they saw this liquid on a tree in the rainforest, they thought it was merely some tree sap. Though the capabilities of this substance were limitless, who knew it would cause so much damage.

Truthfully, this green liquid was the real reason for the war and their civilization's downfall. Few countries knew the truth.

Leaving his memories behind him, Thomas looked at the two on the floor, it seems they have calmed down somewhat.

"Secretary Jun, I want a thorough analysis, have the medics take samples of everything and afterward put these two to sleep."

Thomas watched to two a little longer, their bodies were still twitching even though they have long passed out from the pain.

"Congratulations, you get to live..." Thomas muttered before walked back behind his desk.

The medics and the cleaning crew came into the room to removed Kara and Pace. An hour later, the office was as good as new.
